This place was great. Off the beaten path and a bit more modern than it maybe should have been it worked fine for us. The room was large and clean and breakfast was great, complete with excellent cappuccino.
The hotel occupies ancient cave dwellings and provides a totally unique lodging experience in one of the most hauntingly beautiful and oldest cities on the planet. The location is ideal for exploring the sassi of Matera and the views are spectacular. The rooms are nicely appointed with contemporary furnishings and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We loved staying here and highly recommend this hotel!
