Beautiful hotel - with only a few hiccups

The hotel is nice and located with a great view. We did not like the hardness of the mattress too much, nor the sheet and blanket. But OK. The layout of the room is strange as the toilet is separate from the bathroom - meaning you cannot wash your hands after using the toilet without leaving it and enter the bathroom!!! The dinner in the restaurant was not good. The tuna salad was soaked in soy and the salad was not better. However the waiter did what he could to make up for it. Breakfast was fine

A special place!

We had a great stay! The location surrounded by natural landscape was beautiful. We stayed in a Suite and the view was amazing as was the room. The layout and design and functionality of room was great. All staff were very friendly and made the stay even more enjoyable. I would look forward to returning in Summer and experiencing it in the warmth. The place was really quite special!

Lovely hotel

We found the Hotel via hotels.com, and booked our stay just before we arrived, not knowing exactly what to expect. But the hotel was really nice; there were only a few other guests staying there at the time. So it was really peaceful and quiet, the hotel has an idyllic location in the mountains overlooking a small village. The only sound was that from cows and birds. The room was really nice, and so was the restaurant, food and pool area. The staff was very friendly. We would absolutely recommend this if you want to rewind and have a nice stay at a peaceful and small hotel.

This is a fantastic hotel. Great option if you want a quiet, mountain retreat. Stunning views from the room, as well as from the restaurant and pool. Hospitality is great as is the food. No need to go elsewhere to eat.

Great holel

We had a great stay in the Hotel Can Xiquet, it is very beautifully situated in the mountains near the border with France but only about 6km from the motorway. The hotel is very quiet, but with a lovely pool and very comfortable rooms, great for a peaceful stay away from the crowds !

Comfotable and welcoming hotel

I very rarely give a hotel rave reviews but I have to think very hard to think of anything I disliked about this hotel. The views over the Bay of Roses are beautiful and extremely romantic from the dining terrace at night. The room was quiet, large and comfortable, sufficiently individual to escape blandness and very clean. The staff were friendly and courteous. Downsides: the staffs' knowledge of English was adequate but not fluent; the bathroom was a little quirky (but there is a blind to hide the view), I never did find the gym, we didn't realise the minibar was free until we left and the TV reception was rather poor. Minor quibbles.
