Convenient location, average breakfast. 1st room we were given the lights in the bathroom didn't work, got a second room and the door lock wouldn't work, got a third room and some of the lights didn't work but we stayed because we were exhausted.

When we arrived, the building outside was brightly lit, but inside was dim lighting. Always with the rooms were with dimly lit. We were giving a set of keys that did not work for the room. The concierge gave us the right set of keys and we were able to enter only to find that the room was unfinished didn’t feel clean and and fixtures missing out of the bathroom lighting. There was no do not disturb sign available if we needed to use it. The atmosphere felt unsafe. There was what appeared to be a blood stain on a pillow case. I took pictures of everything and we packed up and left turned the keys over to the concierge showed him the pictures when he offered to give us another room. You only get one chance to make the first impression. We booked a room in another hotel.

I am requesting a full refund of this reservation. When I arrived at the Martinsville VA Comfort Inn around 8:30pm I drove right past the Inn, there were no lights on their sign or in the parking lot to indicate that i had reached my destination. At this time of night, it is pitch black outside. I pulled up to the front door where there were numerous men standing around and sitting. The lobby looked deserted, and I as a 70 widow was extremely uncomfortable and felt unsafe to the point that I never got out of my vehicle and left to find other accommodations. I highly suggest that you remove this location from your site.

The bed sheets didn't look clean and the comforter was not clean and the room had a bad odor don't know if anybody was smoking in there at one time, But it didn't smell good. The employees were very kind and breakfast was good
