Floors were nasty. Feet would get black within an hour. 75 dollars is not worth this room. Beds were also firm with hard old mattresses and springs sticking out on one side. We waited 2 hours after requesting towels and an extra pillow. The breakfast was okay but they didn’t bother to give us breakfast coupons for our second day staying. The front desk was very rude and didn’t answer the phone. Overall, I will never choose to stay here ever again.
Never been here before and have passed it many times wondering what it’s like. Luckily I booked our stay ahead of the wind storm or else we would still be wondering. The front desk people were very friendly even during a rough check in time. Computers were giving them a fit! We ended up in a king instead of two doubles but it was great and closer to the restaurant. We checked out the fitness room which could use a little upgrade. All in all we will definitely come back!
If you like clean feet... Dont stay here!!! Absolutely dirty floors!!!.. I had no choice for two nights... Almost wanted to go out in sleep in my bus.. Out of shower to your bed.. And your feet were black!... Unreal... Good thing I wear black socks!!.. Never again on my dime!!
My sister and I stayed for 5 nights while visiting family. Stephanie and Alice at the front desk were friendly, efficient and helpful. In general, the staff was quite pleasant. Our room rate included breakfast, which was excellent and cooked-to-order. Coffee was always available in the lobby. Room was well-heated during the cold weather. The shower knob in our room did not work properly, and someone immediately came to repair it. Our room was spacious and comfortable.
Well from knee up clean rooms.. But below??? Look!! And the other foot is the same.. I hate to get in bed with dirty feet.. Unreal... Everything else is good.. But walking around in room 116 just nasty with hard concrete wood simulation floor.. Nasty
My daughter and I stayed there the night of the Martinsville Race this October and tried to save a few dollars. Never again! When my daughter turned the sheets down, it revealed a yellow stain on the sheets. Since it was late, she simply turned the blanket back over the sheet and slept under her blanket she had brought to sleep in the car on the way to the race. After she took a shower following the race, she walked on the floor and her feet turned black. Granted it was a dark wood type flooring but, that was just nasty. the staff was nice enough. Had no issue there but. the yellow stain on the sheets and her feet turning black made me wish I had just stayed in my car!
The Mr. and I stayed 1 night while touring on our Goldwing. The annex bldg. is where our room was. The furniture was ripped, and ready for a dumpster. there were holes in the wall and a urine smell by my bed. The annex bldg needs to be torn down. I sat outside the door for fresh air and TWICE was approached by men passing by. A questionable area of town for sure. I recommend you go elsewhere. I did not get the refund i asked for , just Quality Inn points.
I was hesitant to go here based on the reiews but my family and I have been on the go since June and for a last minute wedding , this was too good a price to overlook. However because I do have allergies, and the 800 res number told me it was possible, I called to ask if I could get a room that maybe reserved for someone who did not have animals, or not on a regular bases. In a very flat, non responsive , non customer service voice, she told me, it was the luck of the draw and it is on their web site that they are pet friendly. Not wanting to explain what I felt she was not hearing, I asked to speak to the manager. She let out a deep breath, told me he was not there but transferred me to his voice mail. I left a voicemail for the manager. I checked call log and voice mail, no response. We were only going to be here overnight, I had specifically come here to place flowers on my husband's grave before leaving for Lynchburg the next day. I loaded up on Lysol and benedryl and off we went. With great concern, I walked into the lobby and there found the most wonderful, customer focused employee...Alice !!! I was given a room on the second floor ( 215). As with the lobby, this room had been recently renovated and was very welcoming. I did not need benedryl and only used Lysol as I would in a five star hotel, phone, door knobs, remote...things I check on no matter where I am staying. The room was not only priced right, it was comfortable. Two things that I noted but did not cause a problem...the water pressure was low and the bathroom door needs to maybe be leveled because it would not shut. That being said, it did not negatively impact our stay. I do believe the entire hotel has under gone a renovation. Woke up the next the next day and we headed to breakfast. I don't know if the policy has changed recently but we had a delightful breakfast. We were greeted and made to feel welcome. Our wonderful server was Lisa (Red) and she along with her co - worker , Erin, were wonderful !!!!! Now, this day , there was a buffet breakfast and it had numerous offerings, country ham, sausage, bacon, eggs, French toast, fruit, potatoes, I think grits, cereals, waffles and there was a wonderful man ( I did not get his name) making perfect waffles and best of all, omlettes. It was a delightful breakfast. The entire dining room staff was outstanding. We went back up after breakfast, got our things together and said goodbye to Alice as we checked out. It was a nice stay that I was very concerned about but for the price, I think it will be hard to beat.
Our family has two rooms. One room the toilet would not flush and we were moved to another room. The other half of the family's room the air conditioner would not work and were moved to another room. We were told we had a free made to order bteakfast. You had 3 options of what you could order.
We just took a trip to Collinsville to visit relatives and stayed at the Dutch Inn. This hotel was once a nice place to stay. It has certainly deteriorated. It was not our first choice, but the best hotel in the area was booked so we ended up here. The room was not the best, but we were tired from our drive and didn't want to look for something else. Bad decision on our part. We sprayed the room down with Lysol and left our clothes in the suitcase. The floor was dirty, the room was musty and stale; and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. When we used the sink, the water was very slow to drain. When we took a shower, we ended up standing in six inches of water because the tub barely drained. We did not eat in the restaurant even though breakfast was provided. I did attempt to get coffee to go this morning before checking out. It was early and only one table was occupied. The server looked at me several times standing at the counter but never acknowledged me. I finally gave up and got coffee from the lobby. It was lukewarm, but at least we had a microwave in the room to heat it. I had to bang on the front desk and finally call out to get someone to the counter to check us out. I told my husband as we were leaving that I would sleep in the car rather than stay in this hotel again. This is the first review of any kind I have ever written for a hotel, and we have done quite a bit of traveling. If you have any other option, you would be wise to avoid this hotel.
