Staff was great. Rooms were spotless. Grounds were beautiful. Location was perfect. The firepit was lovely. I didn't have a lot of time there unfortunately so I am sure the experience would have been even better had I had more time to enjoy!

I loved the weird 70s decor in the room. Lots of funky lamps, so -- well lit! I do think there should be in-room coffee makers, not teabag type things. I ended up paying for coffee in the lobby. Also the shower took a long time to warm up and the heater didn't seem to work. However the view of the bay from the room made up for all that. And the grounds are amazing. We took several walks on trails and around the old buildings. We also have a wonderful dinner in the restaurant there. And we enjoyed the fire pit. So even though the room wasn't perfect (it was very clean and quiet) and the resort fee seemed unnecessary, we would still still there again, for sure.

The location and staff were great. The comfort of the room was good. There was no happy medium with the heater, you were too warm or it got cold. The room above us was like walking elephants, thumping and so loud from 10:45pm to 12:15. It woke us up and kept us up. You can hear everything from slamming doors to the shower. This place charges a $25 “Experience” fee. Which is ridiculous. The in room coffee machine is different and very difficult to read the instructions without glasses. We would not stay here again.

Love this hotel, which we discovered last-minute when a rental property host canceled on us. We were relieved to have found accommodation last-minute in the area during the holidays, and would have been grateful for even an average experience, but Marconi exceeded expectations in every way! The next time we come to Point Reyes we won't bother with rental homes, and we will book with Marconi instead. The welcome is authentic, the reception area is cosy and guest-friendly (fire, couches, nook for games, TV area, little store for snacks etc). The room is super comfortable, excellent mattresses, coffee, with tasteful little touches. The buildings are located within a state park with amazing views of the bay and walking trails. There is a outdoor fire pit and sauna (didn't use, but will next time). The only drawback in this rural area is that they don't offer a full breakfast option, however there are muffins and espresso for sale, as well as breakfast burritos in the store and a microwave in the common area. We didn't try Mabel's restaurant but it looks inviting. All in all, a superior experience!

Stayed in a king-bed room with a loft. Very clean, designed-looking room with thoughtful furnishing like the drawers under the loft staircase and a really comfortable bed in the loft. The soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioners, all in large containers with handpump, all felt luxurious with their herbal scents. Beautiful grounds. Very friendly and helpful management. And Mable's serves excellent food. The grilled trout was amazing!
