Right on the port. Welcoming staff and a warm atmosphere. Nothing seemed too much trouble - I asked for a chair for the bathroom - no problem. We were popping out and they asked if we wanted an umbrella as it looked a bit threatening, rainwise. For the disabled - our room was fine - all I would say is that a couple of extra grab rails in the bathroom and higher up would be of assistance.

I stayed here for a short business trip and the hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms were very comfortable and the location is fantastic for access to Marseille's many restaurants. I will definitely stay here again and recommend that my colleagues do the same.

We stayed only 2 nights but we had sea view rooms with great views. The location was really great. Some staff couldn't speak much English, but that is not a negative thing as it is nice to try and speak another language. Room doesn't have an iron so you have to ask for it.

My wife and I had 2 days in Marseille and we wanted to be centrally located and Hotel La Residence du Vieux Port was a great choice. The front staff was very helpful arranging our transport to / from the airport. The balcony overlooking the port and Notre Dame de la Garde was also a great reason to stay here. The breakfast in the morning was also very good, we stayed on a Sunday and Monday, so we did not get to try the hotel restaurant (closed on those days). If/when we go back to Marseille, we will certainly stay here again.

Stayed here for 4 nights with my husband in October. This hotel has a perfect location in the Vieux Port - handy for the metro, buses and boat trips. Our room had a balcony with table and chairs and a fantastic view which we thoroughly enjoyed. The room and bathroom were a decent size and well appointed and the bed was comfy. All the staff we met were very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfasts too as there was a good choice. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed during our stay but staff were able to offer recommendations of good places to eat nearby. If we get to travel to Marseille again in the future we will definitely stay here.

We had transportation problems and didn't arrive at the hotel until almost 2 a.m. The desk clerk stayed open for us! The room, despite our late arrival, was beautiful. Not large, but with a balcony overlooking the Old Port. If we return to Marseilles, it will be to this hotel.

Very pleased to have a balcony. It was unexpected. Decor a little dated (nothing matched). Curtains were stained. Worrying that there was no safe in the room, especially as the door looks like it has been forced open in the past. Staff wonderful.

The location is very nice & convenient. The Hop-On Hop-Off buses start from just down the street, a couple of minutes away. There are plenty of shops & restaurants in the area. Our room was "Deluxe Room Prestige Sea View" with a balcony which afforded a fantastic view of the Old Port. The room was large & clean with a good layout. However, the some of the furnishings are in serious need of replacement and/or refurbishment. See the hole in the chair upholstery in the attached picture. The staff were very helpful. Fairly good value for money.

This was a well located hotel right on the port. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room had a balcony which caught the evening sun. We were able to sit and watch the buskers and tourists below. Only issue was with the wifi which kept dropping off. Relatively minor inconvenience.

This is a friendly smaller hotel and it is right on the Port, views from our room overlooking it were stunning. Beds were comfortable, breakfast plentiful, and staff friendly and helpful. The is a restaurant which we didn't try, apparently it is very good, with an up-and-coming chef. Definitely stay here rather than at a chain hotel, and get the full flavor of the Vieux Port, with the flower market outside your door and the (dwindling) fishing fleet arriving dockside around 9.
