Really cool loft type apartment. It is on the top floor so the stairs were painful but it was quiet and airy. Near some great restaurants. Right on the tramway and felt safe at night.

Marseille rooftop

Do not discount this property because it is on the 4th floor without a lift- a group of people aged between 50 and 60 (one with hip issues) managed the stairs. You are rewarded with a quintessentially French view of rooftops on a balcony that is actually spacious enough to be enjoyed. A supermarket and transport links are very nearby. The shopping area is on your doorstep as is Cours Julien- for lovers of Hackney/Shoreditch in London- this is where you will find the bars/second hand shops. It is also very easy to get to Le Panier and the Vieux Port.
