We really enjoyed our visit. Beautiful area and setting but…
I wish I had known that there is just one bed on each level. The main house has the king bed with bath on the ground floor. (Mold in tub area)
The main level has a queen bed with bath.
The third level has a king bed but no bath! It’s downstairs! Nobody stayed there.
With young kids wanting to be close to their parents, it could not be done.
The guest house says queen bed, but it’s a full.
Also it’s not that close to Biltmore. You need at least 45 minutes to get there and if you have a scheduled visit, you need an hour! Also, to get to the Mars Hill town it’s 15 minutes each way. The house is very secluded and lots of back roads which is part of its charm.
There was no place for the family of 5 adults and 3 children to gather comfortably. Not enough seating and downstairs was cold and we never got the fireplace started.
I had asked the manager about paper products, soaps etc and I was told only start ups were provided.
I brought all these products but the house had more than enough of everything! I didn’t need to drag all those rolls of toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, shampoos, etc.
I just wish the descriptions were more accurate and captions under the pictures.
