Marrakech is awash in riads - they are well-equipped and have gorgeous interiors and gardens. Riad Daria is one such quiet surprise. We felt at home always. There are many little private terrace areas where you can work or read or chat or have breakfast. Nothing is too much of a bother for the staff who work there - always polite, friendly and never pushy, they made our time so enjoyable that we could have stayed on and on and on. The room was gigantic with a sitting area, a changing room and lots of tasteful but simple furniture. Our son was in a separate and equally attractive room. The outdoor courtyard was a delight as were the terraces. An easy walk to the Casbah and in a quiet part of the southern Medina, close to the Royal Palace, always safe and with local life going on around, it felt authentic but not overwhelming.

We had a disastrous start to our trip to the Marrakech having been (mistakenly) dropped a long way from the Riad and in walking to the Daria having my phone stolen. But our stay at the Daria did a great deal to make up for it The staff were wonderful - especially Hassan. The facilities are excellent, the breakfasts superb and it is well worth having some meals there. It is well situated in that it can be accessed by taxi and it is a relatively easy walk to the square and souks without getting lost in the maze of the Medina. One slight negative note is that the vehicle used for the trip to the Ourika valley is NOT a Mercedes. We also felt the excursion was nothing but a tourist trap - not beautiful at all but that is hardly the Daria's fault.

A classic road in the Kasbah area of the town, near the Royal Palace and around 15-20 minutes walk from the Jeema el Fna. The rooms are spacious and a joy to be in, with each of them seemingly different - we were upgraded to the Pink Room, which had two additional rooms leading the the bathroom. There's climate control (heating and air-con according to the time of year), a safe and quiet - which can be a blessing in Marrakesh. There's also a roof terrace for when the sun's out and you need a rest. Breakfasts are served outside your room if desired and they also do evening meals - classic tangines at reasonable prices. The road scene is well established in Morocco now, but this is a good one.

Quiet place warmed by good amenities and wonderful kind people. Especially every member of the service staff. Safe and hospitable; ready meals and great advice for getting to know the city. Lovely surroundings - courtyard; trees and it was lovely breakfasting in the cold Marrakech morning with the sun just warm. Home away from Home indeed.

Stayed at this gorgeous Riad on a recent trip to Marrakech. The whole Riad experience was magical. I would recommend it if you would like to have that traditional feel. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The Wi-Fi was a little hit and miss and no tvs in the rooms, although there was a tv room. if you want something with a restaurant or bar where you can meet other people, this might not be right for you. We went out alot, and coming back to the Riad at the end of the day it was comforting to know it would be quiet and not rowdy.

We enjoyed staying in the Medina area: easily walkable to the main square, cafes, souk and restaurants; just far enough to be away from the crowds. The hotel isn't easy to find - our driver had to ask at a local stall, but once we'd established some landmarks, we were able to find our way to and from the riad quite easily. We arrived late in the evening to mint tea and a friendly reception. Although the night porter didn't know about exchanging money, it turned out that when the daytime staff arrived, we got a brilliant exchange rate - the bank rate, in fact. Way better than anything you can get at the airport. Particularly important as you can't bring Moroccan dirham in or out of the country. Breakfasts were lovely on the upstairs terrace outside our room with one other couple. Downstairs there were more tables for the guests in those rooms. There is a sun terrace on the third floor which we never had time to use - but it looked inviting. Most nights we ate out at local cafes (unlicensed) where food is good and reasonably priced. Anywhere with a licence tended to be far more expensive. Riad Daria is licensed to serve alcohol, and we had one evening meal on "our" terrace, enjoying the hotel wine and generally lovely relaxing ambience in the candlelight. Service was delightful - all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Looking forward to going back!

Set in the Kasbah quarter, this Riad provides a tranquil setting in contrast to the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Friendly staff, excellent food and very comfortable rooms makes this a must stay when visiting.

From the minute of entering the Riad until leaving we simply felt at ease! The staff as well as the director were extremely courteous and friendly. The Riad itself was beautifully quiet and perfect for some balm summer nights with a glass of wine under the spangled sky.

Stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful, calm oasis. Delicious breakfast either in the courtyard, or one of the two terraces upstairs. Comfortable bed and staff very friendly and helpful. Easy to get to Jemaa el Fna, Saadian Tombs, and the souks. Loved the contrast of the busy streets and the peace of the Riad Daria. Perfect start to our holiday.

Riad Daria is located a little hidden in an small passage way south of the big square. Walking distance to the square is approximately 15 minutes and there's lots to see and discover on the way there. The riad itself is beautiful! The staff is amazing and very helpful. The rooms (we had a superior double room) are cozy and spacious. I will never forget the smell of the blooming orange trees planted in the courtyard, while enjoying a delicious breakfast! Also you should try a home cooked dinner. We had the most delicious chicken tajin and vegetable tajin and it's totally worth the price!
