The checkin was very slow. There were 3 staff at the reception and we (4) were the only guests, and still it took half an hour. Our rooms were not done, so we had to wait even longer (we arrived around 19:00 / 7 PM). There were no towels and no water (free water every day was included). After contacting the reception 2-3 times we got towels. During our 6 night stay we did not once get two bathing towels. Sometimes no towels, sometimes one towel and sometimes one bathing and one hand towel. We had to ask for towels almost every day. The first night we made the big mistake to try the hotel restaurant. Do not do that! Visit the Al Fassia restaurant 50 m down the road. The restaurant is slow, untrained and the food is poor. Also a big warning sign is that there are no other guests. The room, beds and cleaness is fine. Do not worry aleftbout the black corridors, then the trash and leftovers from room service, that are everywhere is not that obvious. The breakfast is okay, but surely some of the dishes are from the day before. You can get a freshly made omelet and 5 of 6 days the orange juice was freshly pressed. The coffee is very good, and you can get more than one cup. In general the hotel is overstaffed, but they are not very efficient. They are kind, but not smiling, and you do not feel welcome. You seldom see other guests, maybe because there are only 23 rooms? When we were preparing to checkout a person (a member of the staff we think) suddenly contacted us very agressively about two bottles of Evian from the mini bar, and yes we had one bottle from the mini bar the first night, when there were no water in our room. I tried to explain it, but still why argue abot 100 MAD. Not very service minded. The best thing about the hotel is the perfect fast wifi and internet. I will recommend you to consider another 5 star (cheaper) hotel, e.g. the Mogodor 1 km down the road.
All staff were really helpful and kind specially the lady at the reception and the lady at the spa :)) We have received some welcome drinks which was nice. The room was comfy, very clean and nice design. We’ve enjoyed our time so much and so the pina coladas! Definitely will be recommended! Unfortunately the weather wasn’t as hot as the guy (manager!?) walking up and down all day in his sunglasses but we still got some tan. Thanks Cesar hotel for this lovely weak!
We stayed in the Cesar Resort & Spa for seven nights / 1 week and really enjoyed our time. The rooms are well equipped, super clean and chic designed. The staff is very friendly and knows how to treat you well during your stay. We ordered dinner everyday into our room (you can choose between various dishes from the menu) and it was always well made! I also have to say that the distance into Marrakesh town (the Medina) is very short. We caught a taxi several times, which costs like 5€ into town and spend many afternoons in Marrakesh, the jewish quarter, the old town, the Yves Saint Laurent Gardens etc. All in all a brilliant hotel and a perfect holiday in Marrakesh!
Behind the nice pictures and rooms, this hotel is crap, wifi was down since we arrived and on the top of that the service was really slow and crazily bad, while there is no one in the restaurant, the drinks arrived after the starter and main course that both arrived very late as well...and we had to ask for nappkins, forks and nives to get started. Last but not least, other customers of the hotel could order Chichas/hukas around the swiming pool but when we asked for one, they said this is forbiden !! after asking why this is different depending on customers, they said, this is special then after many requests to speak to the manager, they ended up saying that this has a cost and not forbiden anymore: 80€ for a huka that costs 10€ in reality in their menu. We were very disappointed by this hotel and we hope that with these lines you can avoid such an experience, where only middle eastern people can get what they want thanks to their money. I'm really ashamed for my country Morocco where corruption is still massive at all levels
i can totally assure that this hotel is the best place in marrakech ! i loved the room, the swimming pools, cause they are three of them, the skybar with the view and the spa treatments were amazing ! never had such a relaxing and great holidays ! thanks to everyone for making me feel special ! I be back very soon ! Love from Canada.
The hotel was almost empty. We saw maybe 4 other guests our two days there. The lobby bar had no bartender. I was traveling with my friend, and it seemed every time we walked into the lobby the reception would stare at us. It was very uncomfortable. When for hamman spa and it was a joke; they basically just hosed you down. No music in spa. No steam.... Hotel was esthetically nice and the room was VERY clean. They did assist us with getting taxi's daily also. Language barrier existed. Not the best English.
I stayed in the hotel for two nights with my girlfriend in Pool view double room. The hotel atmosphere is just amazing and relaxing. Staff was professional and polite. Excellent outdoor Hooka lounge on the rooftop was having astonishing atmosphere and staff (Ibrahim and Tarik). We had tasty food as well. In addition, the moroccan hammam and massage package was just perfect and refreshing. Definitely, I will stay here again in my next visit to Marrakech.
Very calm and quiet, perfect place to relax for a couple. The reception team is just astonishing, they helped us a lot, we also had a free Hammam by the manager who is always present every step of the way. The spa and the rooms were very clean, food excellent.. everything was just so good, we went once to the médina 5€ to change some currency because it was on a weekend otherwise there's a bank 5minutes walk from the resort next to a nice mall. Really enjoyed it and we'll be back sooner rather than later
Clean new facility, Modern design, very comfortable with the bed, quiet place. many choices at breakfast, very kind staff to help me. near carrefour. 30mins walk to go Madina. great Massage as well. 50-60Dirham from train station.
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely hotel during Dec 2016. It has a hamam that is second to none and a pool that is warm and inviting. The staff couldn't do enough for us. They were attentive, informative and warm. We loved that it was away from the Medina which is hectic. The Medina is a short and cheap taxi ride from the Cesar. The food was flavourful and too plentiful. Anything you ask the chef to make he does. Their fresh bread they make daily as their croissants, yum. Divine in all aspects. Its super clean which is a major priority for us. Nothing to fault but everything to praise.
