We stayed in villa #9, one in the highest row, and the view was just unbelievable, overlooking Marigot Bay. We got great sunsets from our top balcony. The rooms are well equipped and nicely furnished. The lady in the office, Nadjilah, was very helpful and efficient; we arrived early and chatted with her until the villa was ready for us. She gave us lots of information in particular about activities, she provided us with a very good bird guide, Vision (stluciawildlife.com); also with a massage lady who came to our villa for the three of us; the taxi driver she had dispatched to the airport for us (Noy Satoute) was very friendly and patient, and we ended up using his services five times in the week.
We stayed for 6 nights with our baby in this wonderful accommodation. Set on a hill overlooking the bay of Marigot, it was a perfect spot. Unfortunately the fenicular which would mean you could avoid the many steps was not working but we were informed in advance and were given a discount as compensation. The customer service was great throughout and everyone was very friendly. The apartment was well equipped for self catering and was decorated in the local style. The pool area was very clean and a stunning spot. There was a good boat service running between the accommodation to the otherside of the bay, making it easy to visit other restaurants and bars at night. We would return to Oasis!
We stayed at Oasis Marigot villas for just over two weeks and we could not recommend it more! The view is amazing, villas are big and very comfortable - truly a home away from home, kitchen well equipped. The whole resort is very secluded and quiet but at the same time close to the beach, bars and restaurants in Marigot Bay. There's nice nature trail at the back of the property. The staff are really lovely and very helpful - always happily providing advice, booking tables at restaurants or activities etc. But our favourite by far was having breakfasts and drinks at the balcony - overlooking the bay or watching the sunset. Perfect place to relax and wind down.
The hillside setting above Marigot Bay is spectacular. The resort staff was outstanding, especially in arranging any offsite reservations for restaurants, tours and transportation. The two-story unit needed air conditioning on the upper level. Thankfully, a/c was terrific on the lower level for sleeping.
Be prepared financially for tours, transport, and meals. It helps if you don't mind cooking quick meals to have the staff do your groceries prior to arrival. it saved us a lot. The south sail on the Carnival catamaran is a must do. The steps up the mountain seemed impossible initially but was doable after your first day jet lag. It was our 30th wedding anniversary celebration. We spent our honeymoon in St. Lucia and was very pleasantly surprised at the amazing new developments. We love st. Lucia and believe that it is one of the best Caribbean islands where beauty, safety and friendliness is concerned.
postcard views from any unit. restaurant food very good for the most part but service very slow, be assertive with servers to get help or get/pay your check or you'll sit for awhile. people in the area minus the servers are very friendly. JJ's Crab fest little meat with a lot of work, not a good choice. 200 steps up the steep hill to the units is a nice' workout, the lift is very slow, not good for mobility challenged individuals. trips/activities priced ok, loved the carnival sail trip to souffrie (spelling) best money spent. taxi's , water or land, are expensive to head out to alternative beaches.
We just finished our 7night stay at Oasis Marigot and had a great time. The villas are immaculate, charming and well equipped but it’s the staff that sets them apart. They couldn’t be more helpful and eager to assist. They answered all my inquiries promptly before our arrival and never tired of our endless questions. I think our only criticism would be the beach area on the way to Oasis Marigot. I think if the three area hotels/villas joined together to clean up the beach/swim area it would make that area more inviting and in line with how nice and well groomed the accommodations and their areas are. The ferry to the villas added a fun element to the overall experience too!
Marigot Bay is a beautiful, friendly harbour. The villa itself has a number of outdoor spaces, the main veranda off of the living space was our favourite place for breakfast and dinner Great views of the sea, harbour and wildlife. There is a small pool which we used and had to ourselves for a couple of days Plenty of restaurants from Doolittle’s on this side of the bay, with Jacquelines (local cuisine and her husband picks you up and drops you back), Chateau My Go (best fishcakes) and then the big American resort has a couple of restaurants Highlight of our trip which we booked through the team at Oasis was the sailing trip to the South on the Karen P. We would recommend this all day trip, Nico and his crew were amazing, food excellent, great snorkelling and we experienced the mud baths, volcano and waterfalls. Well worth it!!! Mainly we stayed in the bay but if you want to travel there are plenty of water taxis and taxis
I stayed here with my family for about a week and it was great. The staff and management are very helpful with everything. You arrive by taxi in Marigot Bay then take a quick two minute ferry ride across the bay and your villa is up the hill. The villa is clean, and the AC in the bedrooms is fabulous and all you need. There is a small grocery across the bay and the ferry will take you to/from the dock pretty much whenever you need it. It is great to sit on the side of the hill and watch the bay. You can eat at multiple restaurants all within a few minutes or you can take taxis or rent a car and park it in the lot just past the ferry. The small beach on the side of the villa has chairs and you can get a beer at the beach bar for less than $2 US. You can also rent paddleboards, small sailboats etc. This is the perfect location to see all of St Lucia. If you don't want to drive, a water taxi will take you anywhere in 15- 20 minutes and each night you are back at this nice quite bay ready for drinks and dinner. If you do drive, the furthest attractions are about one hour away (you are never going more than about 25 mph on St Lucia roads)The Wifi worked fine for most things at the villa and my kids even managed to get some Netflix shows to stream. There are no tvs (thankfully).
We went to St. Lucia for the trip of a lifetime and that is exactly what we received. We spent 10 amazing nights at the Villa Trident. The view is breathtaking and we never tired of sitting during the day or night watching the water and boats in the bay. The villa had every amenity that you would need. But no A/C anywhere but in the bedrooms. but this was not a problem since there was always a great breeze blowing. You had the opportunity to be as laid back as you wanted in your own private pool or explore the island as we did. All of the islands attractions were within driving distance. We rented a car which was an adventure in itself as you drove on the opposite side of the roads than what we were used to but it worked. Also we had wonderful taxi drivers in Bob and Albert that took us everywhere when we didn't want to drive. I highly recommend hiring a native St. Lucian to cook in your villa. We had Anselma and her daughter cook a traditional St Lucian meal for us and it was one of the best meals that we had in Marigot Bay. Highly recommend the North and South Sailboat tours with Captain Nico and Pablo and we learned a lot about the island from these two. If you rent a car, just be aware of the potholes on the roads around Marigot Bay, they are fierce. The Oasis Marigot office staff was very helpful both on the Island and in Canada and answered any and all questions promptly. Overall, the best vacation we have ever taken. I highly recommend Oasis Marigot rentals.
