Situated on a large wooded lakefront lot in a quiet, residential neighborhood, Sound Choice In Manteo provides privacy and seclusion that's hard to find on the beach. Direct access to the lake from your backyard is perfect for launching kayaks and small vessels. An expansive sun deck overlooks the water, with a covered patio directly below that leads to the ground-level apartment. Ideal for the guests in your group who'd prefer a separate space of their own, the apartment includes a sitting area, dining area, kitchenette, full bath, queen bed, and its own washer and dryer.

Upstairs on the main level, a traditional floorplan features the spacious eat-in kitchen area as the heart of the home, with water views and access to the deck for convenient indoor/outdoor living. A formal dining area, which provides seating for 8 and even more views of the lake, is adjacent to the tastefully furnished living area with access to the sunroom. Convenient location

While the location of the property is convenient and the check in and communication with the property management was good, this place would benefit from the following for future renters: 1. Make sure the party who stayed before has cleaned dishes and silverware or else please clean for the next host. 2. Ensure safety of kids by hammering out nail heads and cleaning up the splinters from the patio. It provides a great view of the backwater lake but to enjoy it it needs fresh paint and proper patio furniture. 3. If the property is not being used for several days it will get some musky smell due to lack of ventilation. Please have someone attend to it. 4. We have seen better toilet paper in gas station restrooms. Only one kitchen roll for multiday stay. The worst hand soap I ever used even by motel standards. It wouldn't cost much to get better amenities but would improve guest experience 10x. 5. 5 types of window dressings in 5 rooms. Furnitures sorely out of date and in need of updates. Dryer does not work as mentioned in the previous review. We still had a good time being a lake front property but the lack of attention to cleanliness and quality of amenities spoiled part of the experience.

Wonderful location. Loved the private area downstairs.

My husband took downstairs door off hinges and used wd40 to stop the squeaking. Then he cleaned upstairs dryer vents which were really clogged. Couch in living room very uncomfortable and not conducive for interaction with occupants. That was the biggest drawback.
