We stopped in to tour the property. We also had lunch while we were there. The property is amazing, lunch was delicious, and the staff was pleasant. Such a serene environment. Staff is really pleasant and knowledgeable. Lots of activities.
Stopped in for lunch. It was excellent! Our server Harvey Lee Price was super nice and helpful. It was a pleasure to meet him and dine at this establishment. We will definitely recommend this. Stopped by on a whim because had not been in a while. So glad we did
This place was so cool. We didn't get to do a lot because it was out of season but we will definately be back. The land was beautiful. We saw all kinds of wild life during our stay. The room was great
My husband and I went there this past week for his 71st birthday. The place was lovely. Although we were not lucky enough to stay in the castle because of our late booking, we were pleasantly surprised with the rooms in the stable. They were very spacious, very clean, and very comfortable, especially the Jacuzzi. The restaurant food was excellent, and the staff were super friendly everywhere we went. We have already made reservations for a return trip for our anniversary, this time in the actual castle.
My fiance and I decided to spend our anniversary at the Mohican Castle. We booked the Hess room. The Hess is locates on ground level and equipped as a suit with a king size bed and pull out couch, mini fridge, wet bar and dining area. We just had an amazing dinner at the Copper Mug and the blackened salmon melts in your mouth. I HIGHLY recommend this dish. The staff had been more then helpful and accommodating. We definitely recommend a stay here at the castle.
We stayed at the Macbeth cottage this week. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of our cottage. The robes, towels and linens didn't look clean - had stains., the place needed repairs. The Jacuzzi was dirty and didn't seem to work. I wanted to workout but the gym was trashed with wet towels on the equipment, food on the floor. We went to the lobby and asked for clean towels at the pool and were told somebody would bring some and they never arrived. We left to go home early in the morning as it wasn't an enjoyable relaxing stay, As a first time visitor this was not what we expected our stay at the castle.
Great family weekend getaway! We stayed one night in the castle and one night in the Stable rooms. Both were excellent. Staff was friendly. Breakfast at the restaurant was yummy and was huge portions! We had a great time!
We stayed in the house stable, brand new rooms in a building annexed from the castle. The jacuzzi tub is great. you have to drive to get to the restaurant, the copper mug bar and grill (ask for kirstie! And the cheesecake is awesome) and drive to the pool house but both are excellent. The views area amazing!
Hodgepodge architecture among several buildings on top of a wooded ridge offers the traveler an interesting experience. The dining hall has a great menu. I recommend the salmon. Best I have had. They tend to overcook the red meat. The blueberry martini is a must! The lodging is very dated. Best asset overall is the local Mohican valley scenery.
Tabby was a great server. Enjoyed our experience during happy hour and dinner with her. Great food and atmosphere. Recommend to those needing a quiet romantic environment, love it, great food, great service.
