The facilities are outstanding, however the beauty of the hotel is only exceed by the kindness of the hotel staff. They have become a second family and they treat me as if I am part of theirs. They retain my likes and provide me a personalized service which makes me be a little less home sick. I would like to extend a heart felt thanks to Ms. Julie, Ms. Danielle, Mr.Kim, Mr. Jerome, Ms. Michelle, Ms Candy D, Mr Carlos, and Ms Erika who make me fat with all the awesome pastries. SALAMAT!! You will not find a better hotel in Manila. I look forward to my next stay and visit with my extended family.
I’ve been to Shangri-la at the fort multiple times, I consider it my home away from home. I always feel welcome, and the people working there are very accomodating, I love their service and the amenities as well. I’m a fitness addict, I’ve been to a lot of fitness gyms but Kerry Sports is my favorite place to workout. They have complete equipment which some gyms I went to don’t have. I even tried tennis for the first time there and I enjoyed it. Just last week, I trained with Ray, one of their best trainers in Kerry Sports. I love how he trains me because he makes sure that I do the workout right and that I won’t get myself injured. I will be training with him again today, I’m excited and I feel motivated. After working out, I always take my time using the sauna and steam room to relax myself. I recommend Kerry Sports, it’s one of the best fitness gyms to workout.
I’ve been staying at Makati Shangri-La every year for several years whenever I go to Manila. This time, I thought I’d try the one at The Fort. The room is no doubt better as it’s relatively new. They also have a better gym facilities and have 2 Swimming pools. But other than the better rooms, my experience had not been as great. First of all, the food at the High Street Cafe is pretty average. On the ala-carte menu, I struggle to choose something I really like. The room service menu is better. The food quality at the breakfast buffet is also pretty average. Then I had an annoying experience at the gym. When I went to enquire about their classes (I thought they had TRX classes), the receptionist was not very helpful, almost useless. She just said all needed to do was to register at the reception. She didn’t tell me about the class schedules. I had to go to the Kerry Sports website to see the schedule. When I turned up for a class a few days later, it gets worse. I asked a woman at the reception where the lockers were. She just kept saying they’re on the right side. But there’s actually the front and back part on the right. She was clearly uninterested in helping. Eventually I found the lockers but I couldn’t work out how to lock it. So I had to go to the reception again and thankfully, another person at the reception was very helpful. She asked me to use my tag to lock and unlock the locker. Now, I was not given this tag at all. So the first thing the woman should’ve done when I registered and asked where the lockers were was to give me a tag. Why else would I ask where the lockers were if I don’t intend to use it? She was really poor with customer service. My major unpleasant experience relates to the check out. It took so long that when I got to the airport and cleared immigration, my plane was within minutes of boarding. The issue is not the person doing the check out but whoever was supposed to rectify my billing issue the night before and didn’t do it. I stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and my package included the Php1,000 daily laundry and dining credit. As my flight departure was 740am, I asked for my bill the night before so I can check the statement and ensure my check out is smooth. I found a few errors in the laundry charges. They overcharged me by about Php2,000. It took me a good part of the hour to reconcile the bill because the way the statement was presented was messy. Instead of showing the laundry charges as they are and posting a credit of Php1,000 when the conditions are met, they showed the net charge only after the credit was deducted. And the way they showed the net charge was splitting the amount between service charge and taxes in an inconsistent manner. Anyway, so I called the guest services that evening to ask them to tell the billing department what the errors were. I specifically told her which days had the issue and what the amounts were. But when I checked out the next day, I got the same erroneous bill. As you can imagine the check out took a long time as I had to show the laundry receipts and explain the issue. And the lady at the check out had to also figure out the confusing billing statement. And while we’re on the subject of laundry, for the first 2 days I had some tshirts washed but I did it hurriedly, I ticked the “Shirts” option instead of “Tshirts/Sport shirt”. The “Shirt” option is slightly more expensive. The people doing the laundry didn’t even correct what I ticked. After the second day, I had more T-shirts washed and ticked “Tshirts/Sport shirt” this time and they also accepted it. I wonder if I ticked the cheaper option for a more expensive service if they would correct it. Next time I go to Manila, I might check other hotels if I want to stay at The Fort area.
I tagged along with my sister during this trip. While she was busy working I was busy enjoying the place. The room is spacious and clean. I love bathtub so one of the first things I did is just enjoy a long bath. We live a few minutes on this place but I felt really at home. Cudos to all the staff for giving five star service.
The stay was great. Service staff was friendly and responsive. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was generally okay with sufficient spread. The location was well situated and within reach to the shopping malls and

Stayed for several days. Hotel is in a great location, walking distance to an abundance of shopping and entertainment and restaurants. The hotel and grounds are extremely clean and all staff encounters experienced were deeply attentive. From the lobby to the room there is an upscale feel. Very clean and updated. The rooms are expansive and airy, with floor to ceiling windows providing great views. Bathroom was spotless. This hotel also sports what is the best hotel gym I have ever seen. 2 floor gym. Indoor basketball court. Cardio floor, pilates equipment, free weights, power racks, smith machines, spin classes. Outdoor covered tennis courts, additional pool and hot tub outside. I am already planning a return stay later this year.
Still one of the best hotels in Manila. Room is clean and modern, the gym is the best across all of Asia with plenty of equipment. Food very good in the restaurants and the Fort Bonifacio area ia a very good place to stay when in Manila
Just checked in an hour ago. Toilet has no bidet. No Netflix. No Nespresso machine. Nothing extraordinary on the interior or design of the room. Chose this hotel for my 40th bday. Turned out to be a total disappointment and a complete waste of money.
The stay was comfortable got a good room with a good View, the rooms are spacious, the service was prompt. Because of the size of the hotel sometimes the coffee shop etc may get crowded. Overall good stay for Business Purpose.
