City Garden Hotel Makati4.0 out of 5.0

This was my third stay at the City Garden and everything was as expected. Check-in was smooth. The room was clean, though it is starting to show some wear in places, but it is certainly not shabby. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have had in Southeast Asia and the one meal I had in the rooftop restauraunt was tasty. The hotel's location is great, with many shopping, dining and entertainment options within a 30 minute walk. That said, getting in and out can be challenging at some times of the day due to traffic patterns on Makati Avenue,so plan ahead before heading to the airport or a time sensitive appointment. I would happily return bext time I am Manila.
Loved our stay in this hotel. Central, reachable, a lot of restaurants in the same street. Great rooftop bar and view. Recommended ! Rooms are clean, not big but not too small and beds are really comfortable. Ensure you have some view over the city, especially when you have a room up high. We will be back !
Me and my brother stayed here on the 3rd march 2018 for the night and the place was close to the red light district, shoppin mall and other restaurants. Staff were all friendly, helpful and very professional. The view from up above could be great but you're only looking st the undeveloped city of Manila. There's nothing great to see up there, however the pool is as pictured, nice. The gym us great! Bench press, cables, pull up bar and plenty of weights and dumbells. Loved it. CONS: The room we had smelt horrible. The smell of smoke reeked and it lingered around the room. We had a window but it may as well been closed off as we were only seeing the wall of the building next door. Not a pleasant view. Overall, it would have been a great stay if it wasn't for the disgusting smell.
I've stayed at City Garden Hotel a few times, beginning in 2011. The location in Makati is convenient, with many restaurants and shopping centers within walking distance. The staff is unfailingly cheerful and helpful, and I think this is their greatest strength. During this visit a week ago I noticed that the lobby could use some freshing - it seems a bit faded. The room on the 15th floor was fine. I did have a quibble about the buffet breakfast. I think management should stop charging for expresso drinks. It's really annoying to see that $1.00 USD equivalent on the bill at checkout, especially since every other hotel in this category does not charge extra from expresso drinks! On the whole, this hotel provides good value.
We've checked in for one night to celebrate our friend's birthday! We had such a great time! From having our dinner in Encyma (roofdeck TexMex restaurant) to our morning buffet! The hotel services and staffs were very accomodating. Rooms are well-maintained and amenities are complete.
What a nice stay! A great centrally-located hotel in Makati, you can find pretty much everything you need nearby (restaurant, shops, bars...). My room was nicely decorated, spacious, bright and had all the necessary amenities. I was on the last floor so I didn't have any problem with the outside noises either. The restaurant located on the second floor is very nice and they serve very tasty food too. I liked how they decorated it on St. Valentine's Day! But what made my stay really amazing was the front desk staff: they were all super friendly and always ready to help me with a smile on their faces. I felt really welcomed by them. A big "thank you" goes to Jianne for helping me with my needs, she has been very helpful during my stay :) If I ever travel to Makati again I will stay here for sure! Best wishes from Italy :)
Stayed here for 3 days. Compare to the price, this hotel is pretty good. I got the room with 1 queen bed and 1 single bed. 2 of us. Room was okay and clean. Breakfast is average. Service is also average. The things I love about this property is the strategic location in the city, surrounded by many restaurants and cafe, minimarkets and some entertainment places to hangouts. Also they have a rooftop bar, not a big one but the view is nice. Perfect to chill with a beer after work. Might coming here whenever I come to Makati again.
Nice hotel, very friendly staff in convenient location. They can arrange airport pick-up for P1000 or call a Grab (the local Uber, really cheap and safe) for you if you need to go somewhere. Nice pool area on the roof top.
During our stay myself and my partner were celebrating our 10 year anniversary. I had added this into our information when booking and the hotel staff kindly upgraded our room, and delivered a delicious cake with happy anniversary written in chocolate (yum!) The hotel staff were extremely friendly and always ready to help, the hotel manager personally rang us to congratulate and wish us a lovely stay. A lovely touch. The room itself was extremely clean and comfortable, the bed was amazing, especially after a long flight! We booked in for a 90 min massage during our stay and both of us absolutely loved it! And the prices were excellent. The pool area is beautiful and the happy hour cocktails were delicious!! The restaurant is a beautiful setting, however I think the food could be improved. It is a long wait between the order and the arrival of food and I think the food could be improved. On the contrary, the breakfast is fantastic, a delicious selection of continental and Asian dishes, perfect to set you up for the day! Again the staff were beautiful and friendly and the hotel itself was lovely. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others. It is close to shopping malls and there are a few decent bars near by. Enjoy your stay 😊
Good location with many restaurants all around, very friendly and professional staff, amazing view with pool, hot tub and restaurant on the rooftop. Comfortable and large rooms with everything you might need. Great value for the price!
