Had an excellent stay at this hotel. Staff was a pleasure and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The old fashioned in the hotel bar was splendidly made. Bed was the size of a small kingdom. Shower was brilliant.
Me and our children stayed here with my partner while he had business during two days in the conference centres. It was a wonderful stay. We used the swimming pool and it was quiet and so relaxing. They had a sauna and steam room. There is a special lift that means you can go from your hotel floor direct to the lower floor (where the spa and gym are) and wear your swimming costume and dressing gown and slippers you get. A small thing but it was nice. The ladies on the spa were really really nice especially the blonde lady who allowed us to use the pool before we left on check out day. They offered a turn down service which was genuinely so nice and relaxing with music from their tv. The breakfast was delightful with the nicest sausages I've ever tasted. I would love to visit again, it was wonderful. Thank you to the doorman who was always ever so friendly. Thank you all ❤
Booked twin beds ended up with double beds, clearly mis-led. Had to beg them for 30 mins to give extra beds as they said we only give them for suites. Paid £230 per room, was better off in holiday inn. Also no hot water in the morning for a hot shower absolute joke
Well, what can I say. Hotel is beautiful there is absolutely no knocking that. It is clean and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Perfect central location for the town centre and the spa was a relaxing step away from the busy city of Manchester... however... my biggest gripe is the prices of absolutely everything in this hotel! As someone who has stayed in many a 5* hotel and never been charged for a bottle of water, I was perturbed to wake up and find that on my invoice before I checked out I'd been charged £3 for a bottle of water! The water is placed on the side next to a couple of glasses with no mention that this is chargeable, let alone chargeable to 3 times the amount you'd pay for a bottle of water in a high street shop - hence why i drank it, if I'd of known this I'd of popped to a local shop and bought myself a bottle of water!! Not only this, the fridge is full of spirit miniatures, mixer miniatures and miniature snacks. Me, under the assumption that seeing as I'd paid so much for the hotel in the first place, wouldn't of assumed for one minute that when I went to the minibar to get myself a small pot of pringles, that I'd be charged £3 for the privilege! When it said minibar in room, I didn't expect to have to pay an arm and a leg for what was in it! What perturbed me the most about the whole situation is that I was here for one night. I checked in at midday and I was in the hotel up until 8pm. I went out until around midnight and then returned to go to bed. I woke up the following morning to a text to say I'd be checking out this morning here is a copy of my invoice... low and behold the water and the pringles were there on the invoice?!? So in a period of 4 hours where I wasn't present in my room, someone had obviously been in and out checking up on anything in the room - something I'd not of expected from any hotel! What would of happened if I'd of been in bed or chilling out for that period of 4 hours? Would they of just walked in and out with a notepad?! Overall I'm very disgusted at the fact I've paid quite a fair amount of money to be here and spend a little break away with my friend, and I feel like I've just been ripped off on every element of this break. What did I get for the price of what I paid? Just a room. I was too scared to use the tea and coffee incase I got charged about £6 per cup! A nice hotel but crikey, unless you've just won the lottery, there are equally nice hotels around that don't rip you off! Some may say this is nit picking but when you've paid such an amount to be here in the first place, the fact someone is coming in and out of your room while you're here on a relaxing break, charging you the earth for basic things that you could pick up anywhere else for a quarter of the price I've paid today, I'm very upset by this 'small thing'.
There was no hot water in the entire hotel one of the two nights I stayed there. The restaurant was not accommodating at all to a group of us who wanted to have a meal and drinks one evening. It seems like an ok hotel. But there are better for the money.
She who must be obeyed and I visited the Edwardian for our 27th wedding anniversary and boy did we make the right choice. If you are looking for attentive service, comfortable rooms,in a modern setting, look no further. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff, who were very helpful and pleasant, even with the last minute request for chocolate covered strawberries in the room, which were to die for. A couple of things that could have improved the visit. Firstly, a plug for the curling/blowy thingy for her ladyships hair by the big mirror in the room. It's a women thing I know and I took very little notice, but it was mentioned more than 3 times, so on the if she moans listen scales, that was enough to be listened to. Also, you can't use the spa facility, once you check out, unless you pay for it, which we found poor. Because after a night in Manchester, you need a swim and a rub down with an oily rag, to help the recovery process. We would definitely use this hotel again for a visit to Manchester and have already recommended it to friends.
this is a typical chain hotel and very comfortable . My room was large and has all you would require for an overnight stay. Reception was slow on arrival and departure more staff need to be in this area. Breakfast was buffet style and average quality
Just come back from staying at the Radisson blu manchester- what an amazing hotel! From the finer detail in furnishing to the beautiful rooms and georgous spa - my partner surprised me with a night stay in the radisson and what a fantastic treat - everything and more you could ask for - well done radisson it ticked all the boxes and more
Loverly room. Very modern. Stayed here a few times and have always loved that little extra touch. Partner ordered flowers for room which were presented well. Always stay in Manchester for our birthdays so we can go back to hotel with a few friends for a last drink. NOT this time. Arrived back at hotel at approx 12 pm to be met by 2 bouncers. KEYS please. Showed 2 keys for 4 people and were told our friends both males were not welcome and would they stand outside ! Made a complaint in the morning about the rudeness and are still waiting for the promised call. Never ever have ourselves or our 2 friends ever been treated like this. Such a shame as we ended up having our traditional night cap over the road at the Midland hotel who welcomed us !
Stayed in this hotel for just one night and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Room was fully prepared well in advance ready for check in at 3pm. I was able to check in online and also select my room a day in advance. I arrived at the hotel and my room key was ready and waiting to be collected. Member of concierge took me up to the room and gave me a quick tour of the room. He clearly explained the hotels facilities and anmeties. The room was spottless and well presentable. WiFi works great and is free. I used the wet spa facilities which are fantastic and is included in the price of your stay. As I was staying the night for an event held in the morning at the hotel, the hotel kindly extended my check out to 2pm. I read a few negative reviews before staying the night, however I have no major complaints. The room TV have some great channels including Sky Sports! Only small complaint would be the minibar. The fridge uses a smart technology where it knows when you have taken something out the fridge. Thus you will be charged even if you do not use it and place it back straight away. This issue can be resolved straightaway at check out if you inform them you have not used the item(s).
