Really lovely hotel in the heart of the city, near to Arndale centre, printworks and perfect for the MEN. Parking is at the NCP Arndale and is £20 for 24 hours. We had a queen room and whilst it wasnt a big room it was decorated well with a good use of space. Bathroom is lovely with fantastic shower. We had a room seriously lacking a view looking directly at a wall but as it wasnt on the front of the hotel it was quiet so we were more than happy. Very friendly staff on reception and modern clean bar area - we didn't eat or drink there so cant provide any feedback. Overall a comfortable stay and on the money for a gig at the MEN.
Really nice place to stay ! Hotel was clean the staff very friendly. Slighlty overpriced at £84 We took the breakfast option (9.50)and it was really nice continental style worth the extra money Only slight criticism is that its got a lovely nice shower but the water tended to splash over the floor leaving it slippy I would stay here again
Furnishings new, elegant. Comfortable room, bed and washroom. very practical. Location perfect for shopping (arndale, selfridges etc). right across royal exchange theatre. very convenient to walk to various streets and landmarks. Good friendly staff. very accommodating and friendly despite being super busy. Breakfast only cold spread. For 10 pounds, might wanna consider eating out if one has the time to spare. bars cafes nearby. check in and check out time pretty strict, perhaps that's just hotel policy. But they do try to accommodate. But best to plan your trip accordingly. A special thanx to Gregory at front desk, truly helpful and always suggesting great ideas. nice smile too. Also, the tall lady who checked me in (sorry can't recall the name, starts with S) room 506 (5-8 june 2019) and the house keeping lady who was just so perfect in keeping the room tip top. Thanx again guys, keep it up, will definitely be back!
Perfect location right in the centre of town and super quite and comfortable stay. Reception recommended local coffee places to drink and were friendly on arrival and departure. Beds and rooms were perfect size for a short stay.
This hotel could not be in a better location: Arndale Centre - Next door! Printworks - 2mins walk Spinningfields - 5-10mins walk Deansgate - £4 Uber 10-15mins walk Northern Quarter - 5-10mins walk The value of the hotel is awesome, it’s a compact space with a chair and table. Safe. Hairdryer. Hangers. Tea & Coffee. TV with freeview. Towels changed daily. Mint scented hair and body wash too. Beware there’s no iron in the room but I’m sure we could have asked for one! Check in was swift and it’s next to the bar, conveniently! They have hotel umbrellas and there are always cabs outside waiting. There is a Sainsbury’s local across the road and a huge Boots basically next door. No parking, however you can get 40% off at Deansgate NCP by asking at reception which is what we did - that’s a 2min walk although beware in that car park there is no lift! There is another NCP where you can get 40% off just check which one before you travel... Would stay here again for location and value.
I recently stayed in Motel One in Royal Exchange and I can't stop raving about it. You don't get more central than this. I am not familair with the brand but I would assume it is promoted as "budget" but it is anything but. I was in town on leisure but had to go to Old Trafford on one end and Etihad on the other and this is smack in the middle, you're mere steps from the Arndale shopping centre and all local points of interest/attractions. It is ideal if, like me, you want to be able to enjoy yourself but also have the option to be close by if you need to drop anything off/get changed/have a nap etc. I have stayed places before which claimed to be "central" but you find that once you leave you're best off staying out for the day. I didn't have breakfast here but I did manage to source a late night toasted sandwich really hit the spot. My room had a large double bed comprised of a twin zip and link and more towels than one traveller could wish for. I was even offered more towels and turndown which I really didn't expect based on the price I paid. Large TV with an acceptable number of freeview channels. The hotel is overall quiet. Personally, I like to sleep with the window open and it could be a tad noisy in the mornings but in a city centre things could be a lot worse. The staff are top notch, stopping to make conversation, provide advice, maps, suggestions without being intrusive and you can tell they work hard. All in all for the price I paid I was given much more than I expected and I will definitely return when next in Manchester
I had never been to Manchester before so when booking the hotel I didn’t know much about the surrounding area. When me and my partner arrived, we were very happy as everything we needed was nearby. The hotel staff were great on arrival and made us feel very welcome. The room was immaculate, the bed was super comfortable and the shower was decent. Breakfast the next day was good, lots of variety but different to what I would usually eat. We stayed another night and spent the beginning of our second evening in the hotel bar which was very modern. On our last morning, we noticed if we subscribed to the news letter we would receive a free breakfast. We did so we then went to claim our voucher at reception but the reception staff member informed us we couldn’t have ours as we didn’t book directly with the hotel and she was quite rude about it explaining “You should have read the terms and conditions.” I was annoyed by this but we still payed for breakfast. Apart from that situation we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again if in Manchester.
We enjoyed a 2 night stay here while attending a concert at Manchester Arena. The hotel is both contemporary and stylish. Even though we upgraded to a superior room, they are on the small side. All staff we encountered were both friendly and professional. Great location, right in the City centre. We had a good nights sleep. The continental breakfast was a good start to the day and worth the £9.50 charge. Would stay here again. .
Booked this hotel as we were going to a contest at the Manchester Arena and so glad we did! The locations is right in the centre of Manchester, with shops and bars pretty much on the doorstep. The Arena is about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is lovely. The bed was so comfy and you get two amazing pillows too. We have a great night sleep and really enjoyed our stay. Well worth the cost. We will definitely book a Motel One hotel again.
When we checked in there was an issue with the housekeeping system so free drinks vouchers were provided for the wait. That was fine. Nadia checked us in and she was fantastic. Really made us feel welcome and is a credit to the hotel. Room was lovely, very comfy bed! Would have given a five star rating but no coffee in the room!!
