I stayed 2 nights. No one came and made my bed, or gave me clean towels etc. they did however leave 2 more coffee pods and 2 tea bags. Disappointed in the level of housekeeping.
I would have given this inn a 5 star rating because my actual visit was great, the lake is beautiful, the rooms are pretty nice, its quite and serene, however after i left the inn at the end of my stay i got a voice mail from the owner of the inn claiming my payment didn't go through, even though it showed up on my credit card statement 3 days prior as
"LAKE SHORE FARM INN" was being rude and yelling at me telling me to come back with cash, or to give her another card she claimed she didnt except discover but there was no menchan of that when i booked the room on hotels.com and like i said it showed up on my statement so i said i was going to call my credit card company and hung up mean while b4 i called discover she started texting me claiming i damanged the room which there was absoluely no damange, i did spill some ice cream on the bed but thats why hotels have cleaning fees included in the price but then right after i said i was going to call discover i was charged an addition $60 which is fine i did spill the ice cream but that proved she was clearly able to use the card she claimed she couldnt. I feel like she was trying to scam me into paying twice and overall very unprofessional
Rooms were acceptable and the location on the lake with kayaks and canoe were a great. A few different areas to have a fire with plenty of outdoor seating! A great hidden gem!
Secluded quiet place in the country. About 10 min from Pittsfield where there are a couple of restaurant options and grocery store. Beautiful setting on the lake (we went canoeing and took out the paddle boat), quiet, peaceful, restorative, off the path. Awesome game room where my son and I played billiards, ping pong, darts, battleship, cribbage, and pass the pigs. Room was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. Thanks for the great stay, we will definitely return.
After booking this stay I saw some reviews that made me a little unsure if my stay would be good or not. I can safely say it was nothing others have spoken of! I had a late arrival at which the host came to greet me and walked me and my mother to our rooms, my first room I noticed some ants by a window (its nature it happens) they promptly moved my room, I had mentioned they were some giant ants!! They were glad I said that because they knew just the type of ants and said they were going to treat accordingly. Settled into my new room and all was well. Though we didn’t spend a lot of time on site we did have a picnic on the spacious grounds where we met the hosts friendly cat. All and all it was a great stay!
The only things I would note and that they mention on the website is make sure you request air conditioning, and they do not have a restaurant anymore (that seemed to be a big complain in reviews) however the diner in town and the donuts at north woods brewery are not far and both were amazing
Our time at the Lake Shore Farm Inn was outstanding. The caretaker was incredibly generous and helpful, providing all we needed for our stay and giving excellent local information that made our stay experience in New Hampshire all the more enjoyable. Will absolutely recommend to everyone we know and look forward to returning soon.
Beautiful location right on the lake makes this place stand out. Miriam was easy to get ahold of whenever we needed anything and was flexible with check in time.

Low priced for a reason.
Upon arrival, there is a grammatically challenged sign on the desk with a phone number explaining that you need to make a phone call to check in and that only one person works there. Well, nothing is more evident than that. We called and we checked in for our 2-night stay. We were shown to our room and never saw the guy again.
The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The view of the pond was nice. The room was tiny, the TV was tiny, the refrigerator was good with a freezer that actually worked, and the bathroom was tiny. There is a tiny table and chairs set. The vending machine in the lobby was “Out of Order.” you practically had to step into the bathtub to close and open the bathroom door. The bathroom was clean. There were no tissues in the room. There is a K-Cup coffee maker but the coffee supplies were not replaced for our second day. The walls are paper thin. We could hear our neighbor's TV.
Despite putting our sign out on the door requesting housekeeping, nothing was done. We had one set of towels for two days. We opened the dresser and found old stale snacks had been left in it by previous occupants.
Check out was another phone call. It sounded as if we woke him. It was 10:45. We did get a “Have a good day” but nothing as far as “Thank you for staying with us” “Please come again” or even “How was your stay?” It was almost like we were bothering him to check out. We just put the key on the desk and left. Two days and we saw the guy once.

The room was tiny, the TV was tiny, the refrigerator was good with a freezer that actually worked, and the bathroom was tiny. There is a tiny table and chairs set, the size of a child’s play set. The vending machine in the lobby was “Out of Order.” No longer is there a working restaurant on the premises.
As others have written, you practically had to step into the bathtub to close and open the bathroom door. The bathroom was clean. Use caution, the seat moves when you least expect it. There were no tissues in the room. There is a K-Cup coffee maker but the coffee supplies were not replaced for our second day. I suppose this was because there is no housekeeping if staying two or more days. The walls are paper thin. We could hear our neighbor's TVs clearly, as well as their “adult alone time.”

Charming venue. Lovely grounds. Easily one of the most comfortable beds I've experienced. Only complaint is that the tavern was closed until further notice, and there are no dining options nearby, so I didn't eat well. I would definitely come back once the tavern reopens.
