A great stay, eat somewhere else

A Beautiful room elegantly decorated and very clean. Service at reception was faultless and hotel was beautiful. However it must be said the service in the Restaurant (both in evening and breakfast) was less than stellar. During the evening meal my plates arrived fairly quickly but my partners didnt arrive for a further 20 minutes, we wanted to eat together but couldnt without my plate being cold, furthermore when we asked where the food was she told us it was on its way and it wasnt 3 times. Breakfast was quiet when we arrived and on the menu it states somebody will come over to take a coffee/tea order and it never happened. If this had been a cheap hotel i could let it fly but when you are paying £300+ a night that just isnt up to standard

Beautiful hotel but the most basic room is absolutely basic. You'll pay less for much more in the surrounding hotels. There was no WiFi, the shower is very compact and the room was tiny. There was no coffee machine. The little coffee bags are very hard to open. There wasn't really a desk with a mirror so no proper place to get ready easily. Bed was comfy though and the bathroom was nicely decorated.
