Stayed here with hubby and daughter for a 2 night stay as we were attending a concert and doing some shopping. Location is perfect, 5 minute walk to arena and loads of shops on your doorstep (Arndale shopping centre included). Parking very close by. Hotel was spotless and breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Staff were very helpful.
This is a new building and therefore the rooms are modern and clean. Staff were friendly and it was everything you'd expect from a Holiday Inn Express. Rooms were basic but fine as was the hot breakfast. It's not luxury as it's not designed to be but absolutely fine. I'd stay here again. Great views in the lift. Opposite a coffee shop and convenience store. There are also lots of small restaurants within walking distance.
The rooms are very nice and the walk in shower is superb. There is no restaurant here, but plenty within walking distance. The breakfast is a typical holiday inn express one with limited hot items and pre-baked pastries and cakes.
Myself and my daughter stayed here for one night to see a concert at the Manchester Arena, the hotel is in a great location for this, approximately a ten minute walk, bit less for the Arndale Centre. Our room was clean, beds so comfy , nice thick towels and hairdryer provided. If you need an iron and board ask at reception and they'll get you one, if you forget your toothbrush, paste, razor, sanitary stuff, sew kit it'll be provided complimentary ! Breakfast was included with the room price and consisted of bacon, sausages, beans, scrambled eggs, bread , muffins, croissants, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, jams, juices and hot drinks. It was lovely and all buffet self served. Staff were nice and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again. Great value.
We stayed as an alternative to the Premier Inn for work. Both hotels are in the same area and price range. The Holiday Inn was convenient for work and only a 5 minute walk from the Arndale Centre. Check in was quick and at first glance, the facilities fresh and modern. Staff are a bit thin on the ground and relatively friendly. My room was on the 1st floor and was ok in size with a nice shower but no bath. Tea and coffee provided but the tray had not been wiped over and still had splashes of coffee on it. The paint work could do with a freshen up as there were scrapes and chunks on the walls. When I returned to my roomon the second day, there was a used pillow case on ine of the shelves which was a bit strange as the rest of the room was clean and tidy. Breakfast is provided in with the price and the selection is ok. Full English, cereals and toast etc all available. I'm not a big fan of yoghurt left out in bowls where you help yourself, its more hygenic to have separate pots in my opinion. The location is quite quiet and there was little noise from outside. In my room I could hear people upstairs, next door and outside on the corridor. This did not bother me particularly but the sound of what I think was water constantly running into the tank was a bit irritating. Air conditioning in the rooms make it easy to keep the temperature how you like it. I have stayed in other hotels in the chain which have been better but if you are just using it as a place to sleep for a night or two its ok. I would rather stay in the Premier Inn though
We stayed here for 1 night while going to a concert was hardly in the room when we left everything was fine the next day I got a phone call to say they had taken money from my credit card to cover damage in the room...there was no damage to the room when we left if there was I would have told them at the desk do not stay here as they just charge you for things you haven’t used or done
Great hotel, close to the station and arena. As two females felt it was a safe distance from the arena. Room booked was a twin but set as a double when arrived and they were more than happy to rectory it for us. Good basic cooked breakfast. Room very clean and comfortable. Will book again.
Very poor choice and service breakfast. Not worth £180 per night. Breakfast items were running low, staff refused to restock stating only 40 mins left for breakfast. Over all breakfast menu was very limited.
Stoped here for my birthday with my wife the location is good as very close to shops and bars, the place was very clean and staff polite, but now for the bad bit the breakfast was so so poor it was like a school canteen the place where they had the food was tiny and when you did manage to get to the food the choice was poor then it was every man for himself finding a table we stood around for about 10mins waiting for a table by that time our food was cold far to many people for the tables they had apart from that the rest was ok.
polite and thorough customer service clean, modern room and fairly spacious standard hot buffet breakfast good location, was not noisy at all all in all, a smooth stay - would recommend though could have been even better if they had free parking for guests
