Our tour guide described this hotel as rustic but basically I would describe it as very basic. It has a good location with bus to the Mount outside but nothing else going for it. Rooms have no fridge, no tea or coffee making facilities and no complimentary water. There is also no bar or restaurant on site. Reception staff are harassed as they also deal with the campsite guests.Seriously needs upgrading. Breakfast is at best described as cafeteria style. Shop next door is very expensive and food at the restaurant at the other side was poor
Parking is €4, call ahead for the code to get in the access gate. They have breakfast but we didn't use it. Room was basic but large with a clean bathroom, shower and bath. Quite loud at night. No elevator. No air con but wasn't hot enough anyway. Te shuttle stops directly outside and there is a market next door. Considering what you came for, it meets all your needs.
The hotel feels like it is in a very airy and spacious location as there is a campsite behind it. It is the closest hotel to the bridge, and the bus stops outside it. I'd highly recommend this as a budget option for visiting Mont St Michel. The room was spacious but basic, we didn't have breakfast as I had read here it wasn't worth the money,. but the shop next door does coffee and pastries so we ate there before leaving
I simply choose this hotel from Tourism center list. In the beginning, I was worried on how to reach the hotel, since the situation was not clear to me. I cannot imagine, since a lot of information saying about public parking, bus station etc. Anyhow, I succeeded to reach the hotel. This hotel provide very very good location to reach Mont St.Michel. There is only one main street to Mont St. michel, and it is located about 100-200m from the bus station on the way to Mont St. michel. In addition to that, the shuttle bus stop to mont St. michel is just in front of the hotel! Do not miss it, as it is just a bench. The room itself is clean, simple and nice. It is perfect for single traveller like me. The receptionist are very nice and they are 24 hours available. Jst be aware on restaurant, as they close at 9 PM,but the recepsionist will let you know once you check in. I will come back with my family next time. Thank you
Good location going to Month Mont Saint Michel, there is bus always going to and back. There is many restaurant near the hotel and shops with the good ambiance. The hotel service is good and the food in breakfast was ok.
Great location. Literally right in front of the bus stop both for a bus from Pontorson station or free shuttle to M-S-M. Literally next door to Les Galeries du Mont Saint-Michel, a grocery store, gift shop and a café combined complex where you can buy everything from a bottle of wine to T-shirt to sandwiches (larger than shops you'd find inside the wall of M-S-M). Room is basic, but comes with everything you need short of mini bar, electric kettle and air conditioner (you rarely get them at 3-star hotels in France anyway). Very tight room with barely a space to open a suitcase, but you don't feel so claustrophobic because of a large window with open view that can be opened for fresh air. Reportedly there's no lift so if you have large and heavy suitcases ask for a room on ground floor, which we got upon request on arrival. Thankfully we were allowed free early check-in - we had to pay for it at our hotel in Paris prior to coming to M-S-M. Room is clean, well maintained and everything's in order, which is all we asked for. Large desk facing window and lots of shelves for storage. We didn't have a breakfast at the hotel for we had to take the early morning bus to Rennes so bought sandwiches at Les Galeries du Mont Saint-Michel next door, which the hotel graciously kept at their basement kitchen fridge overnight. Best to make direct reservation with the hotel for best rate. We saved €35 for cancelling booking.com and rebooking directly with the hotel. For €59 a night and at this location, I have to give them 5 stars (we paid more for dinner for two at a restaurant next door).
Arrived at the start of a holiday weekend, and everything else was full, so we felt lucky to get the place. it is simple, extremely clean, and very convenient. The shuttle to Mont St-Michel is near the hotel entrance, and you get a code so you can park in their lot for 5 euros a day, a real bargain for the convenience. The included breakfast it quite decent, ham, cheese, yogurt, hard cooked eggs , several cereals, nice coffee, juices fresh fruit, and variouslastries and bread. It enabled us to get out early to the island. Perfect if you plan to spend your time here on Mont St-Michel.
My husband and I stayed in Hotel Vert one night to tour Mont. St Michel. Although we didn't have a code and had no access to our phone the man minding the gate was so helpful calling the hotel to verify our registration and gave us our code and directions. He, as well as the friendly staff, spoke excellent English. Our room was very clean and comfortable with free parking. The shuttle to the abbey was steps away as well as a nice shop to buy pastries . For the price it was an excellent value!
The hotel was packed with tourists, but still offered a quiet, clean and comfortable room for a good value near Mont St. Michel. The free shuttle stops right across the hotel lobby. The staff a the front desk were friendly and accommodating and spoke excellent English. This is a good option if you'd like to be close to the monument without the crowds and expense of the village.
Better than a school cafeteria, but not by very much. It was a warm, dry place to satisfy our hunger on a rainy day after visiting the Abbey, but that's about the most I can say. Suggest a further look for better food.
