Great hotel in the centre of town with a pool. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I stayed in the dorm and my only negative would be that there wasn't much storage - essentially it was 4 beds in a triple room so space was a bit tight. Air con was extra and it was a little noisy from the staff first thing in the morning. That said it was a lovely place to stay and I would definitely stay here again. For people on a budget the restaurant is bit pricy but there are plenty of cheap eats places close by.

Good value, clean place and very friendly helpful staff. Close to the centre of the town, the Main Street with the bars and restaurants. Food was good value for money and the beer was a good price. I would stay again.

Nice enough hotel for our short 2 night stay in Granada . Nothing spectacular. Room was clean and had air conditioning and hot water in the shower. Staff were not overly friendly nor helpful. I would not recommend the breakfast options at the hotel, best to walk and eat in the city which is what we did our second morning even though we'd paid for the breakfast included option . Location of the hotel is great in that sense and is approx 5 min walk to the city centre with lots of great restaurants and cafes nearby! Hotel also has a small pool but only has 2 lounge chairs and they seemed to be used by the same 2 guests during our entire stay. It'll be worth adding additional lounge chairs especially during hot days in Granada.

What a surprise. We got to Granada with no hotel booked. We found this because it was near us. I would never have guessed it was so nice. Beautiful, safe, quiet, comfortable beds, good ac, tv, nice showers, wifi, safe, nice pool area, great breakfast, staff was so nice and accomodating. We stayed an extra day!

I booked original for only 2 days and stayed for 8. This hotel in conveniently in walking distance of Park de Central where all activities can be booked. Near by are restaurants and all you need for your trip in Nicaragua. The staff are super friendly and constantly cleaning. They also arranged airport pick up and drop off. The room is clean and there is a lovely seating area outside the door. I can not praise this establishment highly enough and it feels home from home for me. One bonus is that they have a lovely swimming pool which is a bliss if the weather is getting to hot. I will definitely come back again. In fact I come back again after my trip to Corn Island on the 27th of March.

Stayed at this very nice hotel. It did not have that many rooms, but the rooms were spacious, very clean, excellent Wi-Fi. Pool was small, but really refreshing after a day of site seeing. It was cool that the pool was in the middle of a court yard. We also at breakfast and supper there, fantastic!!! Staff was polite and very helpful, from the reception to the lady that cleans the room's. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed two nights in February 2017 with a small group of other couples, who also stayed two nights. The rooms were clean and adequate. The pool is wonderful. This hotel is perfectly located only about two blocks from the town square. My favorite thing about the hotel was the fantastic breakfast which was included. It consisted of fresh squeeze orange juice, mixed fruit cup and a choice of four entries. You won't go wrong with this hotel.

We were booked at this hotel through a tour company out of Costa Rica, where we did a two-night stay. Overall the hotel is nice but no frills. Our room had a queen and a twin bed, very cold remote-control A/C, small TV with cable, updated bathroom with large shower, closet and a small desk. The room was very clean but had no decor and only one small window in the room, and a small window above the shower. We took advantage of the pool and had the bar bring us tasty mojitos! The pool is small, but refreshing. They do have pool towels available, but you must ask for them from reception. Breakfast was included and there was about five choices of breakfast dishes. Several choices for juice and the coffee was good! Strong wifi was a plus. Location wise, it's a couple blocks from the central park on a quiet street. In hindsight I might have preferred a hotel closer to all the town happenings, but I did appreciate how quiet that area was at night. While we didn't pick out this hotel, we were glad to have stayed here and had a comfortable time.

What a lovely place to rest and be near the city centre and all the attractions. Such an amazing quiet colonial style hotel. The staff are lovely and friendly, rooms so comfy and cozy. We fell in love with the place and are already planing to visit again soon. You can enjoy the lovely pool and feel so special.

I stayed in Hotel El Almirante on two separate occasions in December and January, for two nights each time, in the same room each time (room #19). This hotel is outstanding value for your money, it is clean, beautiful, modern, and only three blocks from Parque Central and the cathedral. My bed was a king-sized bed, very comfortable. Room had strong AC, hot water shower (!), satellite TV (albeit just a couple stations out of 100 had English programming, mainly movies), a safe, mini-fridge, alarm clock, desk and chair, two nightstands with lamps, closet/wardrobe, and a window looking down onto the central swimming pool. The pool is quite refreshing, very clean and nice looking, and is a big reason why I returned to the hotel for a second stay, two weeks after my first stay -- I immediately got into that pool after dropping my stuff in my room. Plus, breakfast was included with my room (though apparently not all rooms include free breakfast), and it was tasty and filling. Free drinking water is available, too. Nice courtyard, full of tall plants, and a small bar and living room area. The staff were all helpful and friendly. One staff member at the front desk even helped me by calling different bus companies, to help me find a ticket on a Managua-San Jose direct bus (which stopped in Granada to pick me up about a km. away from the hotel, a 10-15 minute walk). The hotel is very reasonably priced, too -- I paid USD $40 per night, a great price for such a great little hotel, so close to everything, with breakfast and drinking water included, and again, the swimming pool! Hot water shower! Air conditioning! If I ever go back to Granada, it's where I'll be staying, for sure.
