The clerks were very informative and kind. This particular Motel 6 is a bit outdated and you could hear every sound beyond your room whether it was a car or the wind so it was difficult to get any rest. There are no extra amenities in the rooms so extended stays where you might want to use an appliance are not suggested (admittedly, I did not ask the desk for any, I know that is sometimes possible) Mammoth itself can be a pricey stay, this is certainly on the lower end but so is the value. Bring ear plugs if you’re on a budget. Otherwise, the location was optimal and waking up surrounded by pines was great.

The damn heater they have on at full blast to a point where it feels like you're suffocating. We tried talking to the front desk but they mentioned the entire building is like that to avoid the pipes from free,ing. So beware because I'm asthmatic and I felt so short of breath, I had to keep the window open all night and that was also not ideal since the winds kept shaking the window and curtains. Honestly, the heater setting is an overkill

So affordable if u planning to stay for day or two. Rooms are small but meat and clean. Bathroom is clean and with basic amenities. They provide coffee at office. definitely first priority at mammoth .

Staff was friendly & helpful. Unfortunately, I woke up with a severe headache every day, & by day 3, my back was in excruciating pain. Could have been allergies, or the bed/pillows. Not sure. Incoming bad weather & headaches made us leave a day early. Rates were very reasonable, with no extra fee for our 2 dogs & staff was great, so don't want any blowback on them.

The thermostat for the heater wasn’t working right. The room was so hot I just finally turned the heat off. The door card key would take numerous time to activate to open the door. No comfortable chairs to set on. Would have been nice if the rooms at least had a coffee maker. Will never stay there again.
