We enjoyed our stay. The lodge is cool, and perfectly located to the hikes we wanted to do. I found the bed comfortable. It really needs some TLC, though. The carpets have been trod by 1000's of ski boots and the walls scraped by skis & poles & gear. I sat in a chair at the restruant that was coming apart at all the joints. A little glue, spackle & fresh paint could go a long way. Its the offseason. Get to work! I would like to say there were two outstanding staff members. One guy helped me in the middle of the night by opening their store. I was having a low blood sugar event, and his help was crucial. And a young lady on the desk during the days had excellent suggestions about sights to see. If the rest of the staff were at their level, the lodge could be outstanding.

The sofas wear badly stained and we felt uncomfortable to sit on them. The kitchen cupboards were glued and nailed together. The place looked tired and in need of a good clean and upgrade. Does not leave a good memory.

What I didn’t like was the fact that they don’t have a microwave in the room. So I found myself running on the hallways and downstairs in a hidden conference room where they had two microwave ovens 10 times that night! It was freezing outside, people like to drink a cup of hot tea, or a hot soup, I have two kids and didn’t have that luxury of being able to warm up something in my room… even the cheapest motels have a microwave in any room, you can do better for the money you charge per night! This was a loft room. Also I had a pet, and they gave me a room second floor all the way at the end of a long hallway… going outside with a dog was like praying he will hold his pee long enough! Anyways, carpets and furniture need an upgrade

The property is in the ski area right next to the gondola. It was very quiet and peaceful. We went there in off-season and perhaps that was the reason for quietness. Gondola was not operational due to season. Drive to the town was pleasant. Great views. Our stay was very relaxing and the staff was helpful.
