I was impressed that the room i had booked was very spacious. It could fit 11 people, it had 3 full bathrooms, it had plenty of living room and dining room space, and the kitchen had lots of household supplies like plates, cups, knives, etc.
Every thing was ok and the best part was a big experience for my kids to see snowing
The main building is lovely but the room we have got is on another building which is quite basic and so we had greater expectations than what we got
Close to Yosemite NP and hot tub/pool after long day hiking Room small, old looking, $ 50.00 a day damage deposit, why? The room old looking, closet door did not work, tub had several ruff chips/scratches, elevator old and creepy
Awesome views. I wish more eating places were open. Cost of just riding the lift for the views was a little high $35.
Nice view. Very close to lifts and ski lessons Staff in general was rude.
Dena and the staff at Mammoth Mountain Inn were extremely helpful introducing our puppy on his first mountain trip. Our assigned room was a bit too close to the active lobby so the staff cheerfully provided us with a more isolated room with no questions asked. They even moved all of our luggage while we were out snowboarding and enjoying the day. We ended up having an excellent time and we were all able to relax at the end of our day! We'll definitely plan on visiting again!
Very nice hotel close to the main lodge. Very friendly hotel staffs.
I cannot say enough about the staff here! Everyone was so friendly and helpful from the front desk to the girl in the coffee shop. It just made the atmosphere so lovely.
Staff was great. It was convenient to be so close to the ski lifts. But the Room needs updating and a remodel, specifically the shower, shower head was old and didn’t spray right, only could use the massage setting, regular setting sprayed everywhere but the shower, could have stayed at the motel 6 for less than half the price, I won’t be booking here again.
At well under $300 per night this was a great value considering many of the other locations that were centrally located were charging close to double that. All the standard amenities with skiing literally just across the street. You're able to go back to the hotel for lunch and even sit down.
The hotel is in a great location and can’t be beat. Convenient and close to the gondola and lifts. However, the hotel is very dated and in need of a renovation. It’s run down and too expensive for the condition it is in. Check in was quick and easy. The room was dated and the walls were thin. I thought my neighbors above were going to come through the ceiling. Room size was adequate and The king bed was comfy. The hotel dining was decent at best. You pay fine dining prices for below average food and service. My server had the personality of a peanut. She didn’t smile and was unfriendly and based on her Demeanor I think she needed the day off and probably shouldn’t work in hospitality at all. The food was not enjoyable and expensive. Overall, I would definitely not stay here again. My preference next time will be a condo. The Only downside to condo accommodations - driving to the mountain or taking a local bus to the lifts to find parking is a nuisance.
This hotel is at a great location to main lodge, however the rooms are very dated and staff is lack luster. It was snowing and all the underground parking was taken when I arrived. The parking lot was not adequately cleared even though they had several snow plows. I got stuck in a snow bank trying to park and received no help from the staff. It was dark, low light and 7 pm. One staff member gave me a shovel then walked away. It took me about an hour to get my car into the parking spot. When I woke up, the snow plow completely pushed 6 feet of snow behind my car. I again had to borrow a shovel and dig out. I was really shocked at the lack of help from anyone at the resort. This resort is missing a huge opportunity to leave a positive impression on their guests. Fortunately we had great time on the slopes.
This place is right where all the action is at Main Lodge! We were able to roll out of bed and right onto the slopes which was pretty awesome! One thing I learned though, is that Main has mostly more advanced runs with only a few, very small bunny hills so i you're a beginner you might want to stay closer to Canyon and the Village. The room was super small but it was fine for just a few days. It could use an upgrade though (stains on the ceiling/walls, old furniture, etc.). The beds were super comfy though and great pillows so that was nice. I wish we were in the main building that would have been better. We were in a smaller building off to the right that was a short walk away. We were on the 2nd story too and there weren't elevators which was surprising and disappointing. Walking stairs in the altitude is tough. The main building has a cute fireplace to hangout at, restaurant and bar with a view of the slopes, and the hot tubs are over there. The hot tubs were pretty nice. There were 4 to choose from, 3 small inside and one larger one outside and a heated swimming pool too. Some of the staff were a bit grumpy but most were nice and helpful. All in all, I'd stay here again but I wouldn't pay a premium too, I'll look for deals.
While the location is ideal for in and out skiing, the hotel is badly in need of a new owner to remodel the tired facilities, to hire more experienced staff and to improve the very mediocre food. The current average rating of 3.6 stars is too generous in my opinion.
Hotel staffs are very friendly Facilities are very bad and old
Used to better quality hotels. This is at best 2 star Food quality and service low/medium Hotel condition aged and in need of renovation They have a captive market for those who wish to ski in ski out
