Just returned home from this hotel it is really well situated just a 5. 10. Min walk to bigiba square lovely bar and not a rip off with the prices you can have 2 large bottles of local beer for 5Euro and a full English breakfast for 4Euro they had entertainment most nights and any sport you like only trouble we had was the heating wasn't on for 2 nights and it was freezing
Stayed for 1 week in December in a budget room . The room was clean beds very comfortable. Staff couldn’t do enough for you . As I still had my jacket on from arriving when I went to inquire about the safety deposit box the receptionist must of though I was cold , she gave me the ac remote set at 24. Our room needless to say was lovely and warm in fact too warm sometimes ! There wasn’t a kettle in our room but I once again asked reception and a tray was delivered promptly with a kettle and 2 cups and spoons. We really only used the room for sleeping in as we were out and about exploring everyday. The hotels is 2 mins from Bugibba bus station with buses to , Valetta, Sliema, Rabat, Mdina, Mellieha, Cherkerwa Ghajn Tuffieha . All in all we got got a lot more than we expected for our money, would I stay here again , most certainly .
Booked a budget room, it was clean with lovely comfy beds. Next to reception so we had the free wifi in the room, Indoor pool was open looked lovely just didn't have time to use it. You can eat here but we chose to eat out as we were out and about. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff who were all very nice. In a good spot close to the Bus station and local bars with entertainment. Ignore the bad reviews I felt we got more than what we paid for.
Enjoyed our 12 days stay in Malta. Thanks Euroclub for the budget friendly price, which was really the best around similar places in Buggiba :) The hotel is situated a few minutes away from the central bus station, which is a great advantage if you're traveling by bus within the island. Variety of food is minor, but all fresh, including fresh salad bar. Room was spacious, simple and clean, towels changed nearly every day.
Found the reception lady very helpful , the toilet seat was to small and the bed sheets not full length, both of these were changed same day didn't need the air con. But was provided with small heater to take chill away in evening I found the staff helpful and friendly I was provided with toiletries every day the room was cleaned every day Very good location everything I needed within easy reach especially shops,, seafront and cafes and entertainment was good at weekend .
I booked the hotel at short notice and received a very clean room (apart from the shower - the head and taps need replacing - so grimy I wouldn't dare use). The hotel is in an excellent location very close to the seafront and the central bus station. The staff are cool - and I don't mean that as a compliment. I asked one member where a street in the area was where a relative of mine lived - I explained that to her - and was told rudely that how was she to know where every street in Bugibba was. I wasn't offered a map, but was told to go to the local police station to ask! Her attitude was so nasty and intimidating I didn't dare ask her to direct me to the police station so I got my own taxi... I didn't use any of the hotel facilities but aside from that was shocked that I had to pay a €10 deposit to get a remote control for the TV in the room. There wasn't even a plastic cup in the bathroom or any drinking vessel anywhere in the room.
So...I spend 14 days here with my girlfriend and oh boy was it an experience. We are experienced travelers having been to many different kinds of hotels of varied quality, but Euroclub in Bugibba takes the cake! 1. The staff was rude and everytime we talked to them about anything they couldn't care less. No "thank you", "Good day", "Good bye", nothing. Just 2-3 words sentences and a grunt. 2. The room didn't seem so bad at first (although it seemed BAD), but like an onion it revealed it secrets layer by layer. Let me clarify: -only one socket to load phones/iPads, -the toilet seat was broken and yellow, -the flushing mechanism did not work, -the pressure of the shower was just a drizzle, if you turned the head upside down the water barely came out, -there were no toiletries a part from the first day when there was this tiny hand soap on the bed that lasted for 4 washes, we had to buy everything ourselves, -the view from the window was a neighbors window literally 1 meter away (3 feet) so the curtains had to be closed the entire time we spend at the room, because it was so hot that you had to be naked. The temperature was 29-31+ C (86 F). The air-condition worked, but you had to pay for it 7€ per night! Also if you wanted to watch TV, it cost extra. We didn't, but just that for your knowledge. -The rooms wasn't cleaned, there was sand on the floor and occasionally we had dirty sheets changed into our beds -there was a LOUD family living right under window with no regard of time of the day for listening to music, screaming and general loudness -and then...OH MY GOD! The bird! I don't know what it was, but there was a bird that started squawking at 6 am AND DID NOT STOP until way late into the night. And the sound is constant, non-stop! -My bed had broken springs, everytime I turned I would wake up to the sound of screeching matress. -The breakfast was mush. In now way worth 5€/day and no way worth if you buy it beforehand for the entire trip. The good thing was that the cleaners were really friendly and location was awesome! Bugibba is a beautiful city and from the hotel there was an easy access to the center, bus-station, restaurants, pubs and beaches. Please believe the negative reviews, they are true. Don't spoil your vacation by choosing Euroclub.
The worst hotel I have ever stayed in and as I'm 65 I have stayed in a few. The staff were pleasant and helped as much as they could within their bounds. Moved room eventually after second day as in the original room we needed to keep the curtains closed while dressing as closely overlooked. Room was dark and dingy. Moved to a better room but only the beds appeared to be made, no obvious cleaning done. Hair on the floor, shower tray dirty, sink taps dirty. The pool toilets didn't work and the pool shower was filthy. The food was disgusting. No fruit or vegetables the whole week. Only melon on some days as a starter. We did see a couple of people with apples but couldn't see where they had got them from. Only 2 choices for dinner and both unrecognisable. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you are on a serious budget and only want bed and breakfast. Definitely not for children. Disappointing experience.
We had already booked our flights for a last minute week long holiday so we just wanted a cheaproblem hotel in a good location (either Bugibba or Qawra). The Euro Club hotel seemed to fit our requirements- although some reviews concerned us! We had originally booked a triple but plans changed 2 days before arrival and we needed a quadruple. After a brief phonecard with the hotel and then booking.com our booking was changed to a quad On arrival (about 11pm) we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman on reception (Sonny). There was a difference in payment but unfortunately the gent wasn't sure how to work the card machine. No big deal was made of this and he said we coukd sort it out the following day but we had enough cash to get it settled. The room was on the ground floor not far from reception. The room was spacious and all the he furniture was in good order. It was clean and all the bedding was fresh. Bathroom was clean and sufficient. Plenty of clean white towels were available and we were provided with individual sachets of shower gel/shampoo and even a small bar of soap - perfect to get through the first morning! Air con was extra, TV was extra but neither of these were required by us. We never ate in the restaurant (breakfast not included) or drank in the bar. We didn't even use the pool although it looked clean...we are sea people 😃 I haven't been to Malta for over 15 years but in honesty it hasn't changed too much. People are amazing and all the staff at Euro Club were very friendly. It's rated as a 3 star and it is! Clean, friendly and great location. Thanks to all xx
After booking euroclub was a bit worried after reading some reviews, some people pay 3* and expect 5* the rooms were basic but cleaned every day and clean towels everyday , enjoyed every min with my family , lovely people always had time to stop and talk , and Harry is a lovely man had time for everyone....this was my 5th time in 2 years in malta stayed in all different hotels /appartments ect, love it and loads of places to eat just outside the hotel, bang in the middle of everything.... waterpark only 10 mins away and bus terminus is around the corner were u can get buses to anywere on the island , 21 euros for a weekly pass well worth the money... I'm sure one day we will b back to the euroclub...
