visited during the christmas holidays for dinner. The overall experience was amazing! Really impressed with the service and the welcoming atmosphere. The staff were so cordial and gentle. Charles the manager took really good care of us, he's very professional and made sure that all our requests and wishes were granted. I would definately recommend this place and will be visiting again soon.
Visited during the festive season for our staff party, great atmosphere, divine food and most of all top notch service. I have to recommend Charles the manager, who really took care of us by welcoming us upon arrival, showing us around and checking on us in case we needed something. Will be visiting again for sure, i want to try out their Buffett breakfast and lunch coz i heard theyre out of this world. Simply perfect!
We were staying at the sister hotel next door which permitted us to use the facilities here. Spa was delightful, restaurants were fantastic and staff were super helpful - a real credit to the business. Would certainly revisit!!
Stayed for 7 nights over the new year period. Hotel is in a great location, very welcoming on check in even though we arrived late evening. Room was a great size with 2 large beds suitable for 2 adults and 2 kids. We had breakfast included and there was a wide range available of fruit, cereals, cooked items, egg station, croissants, toast, fruit and specific items cooked to order if required. We tried the Maltese taster evening and had a few glasses of wine in the reception which was beautifully decorated for Christmas. All the staff were very helpful special mention must go to Marcia who kept the restaurant running like clockwork every morning. I would recommend this holiday for couples or families. Be sure to try the bar at bottom of the hill “whites” just opposite Hugo’s terrace.
The staff at this hotel are it's finest point - always polite and helpful. It is worth mentioning that the hotel offers a free guided walk around the immediate area and coastline. It is advertised on a board in reception and should have been more widely promoted as l think it would be of real interest to guests. Our guide was very informative and friendly and we would certainly have left Malta knowing nothing of the history of this part of the coastline (commonwealth cemetery, military landmarks) if we hadn't joined the tour. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel and the walking tour.
If , like me and my boyfriend, you expect a good breakfast when booking a hotel, at Corinthia you will find the best ! First and foremost as soon as you get to San Martino restaurant you are greeted by a lady, a very smart lady - Marica (perhaps in her 30s) and also by a handsome man, Charles. They're both very kind - who I believe are the hostess and restaurant manager, respectively. You are presented a table and given a brief explanation of the breakfast buffet. I would like to point out that Charles opted a table where the sun wouldn't bother us ... Just perfect :) When it comes to find - I saw my boyfriend's face brighten up! A stand with a chef, for omlettes - cooked just for your liking, a stand with items for an english breakfast , cold cuts, fruit , numerous types of cereal, coffee machines (no stress - good selection of yummy coffee :p , juices, water and sparkling wine! ... And oh for those with a sweet tooth - prepare to be satisfied and with a full tummy! Sorry for using so many words but it's a must (and also words are my life, being an author) ... Hopefully I gave you a clear picture and as for us we're super satisfied! :D Ps. I also saw a ramp that leads to the buffet area.
The location of this hotel was great for our trip however our room had a bunch of problems. First we wanted to switch rooms for a better view, the staff gave us another room with pretty much the same view? Also our room was so hot, called the front desk to have someone look at our AC, but nothing was fixed.
Good sized rooms and comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet was excellent. We had treatments in the spa - which were excellent. The indoor pool got busy - we were here over New Year so lots of children. Concierges were very helpful. Excellent location a short walk from a good selection of bars and restaurants.
Checked in 27th December quite stiaght forward all though rooms was not ready room was spacious toilet was a joke nightmare to flush went down for breakfast very miserable staff not welcoming no entertainment only one night the hotel was very busy the noise was very bad lifts was a joke the best thing about this hotel was rooms clean every day but this was always very late afternoon never again
This hotel is situated on a slight hill at the top of St George's Bay in St Julians. The hotel reception is quite small for the size of the hotel, but has wonderful views of the bay on the other side. It is a short 5 minute walk into the resort where there are lots of great restaurants, bars and clubs, and a small shopping mall "Bay Street". The room was a great size, with a balcony overlooking the pool, and luckily enough the weather was warm so we had a chance to sit out in the sun for some parts of the holiday. Service was good, the concierge was helpful and there were 3 restaurants open during the Winter; 2 very expensive and one American - Henry J Beans, which I wouldn't advise. The twin hotel next door - Corinthia Marina, also has several restaurants, which are cheaper than the main hotel and offer slightly more choice. All in all it was a good location, next to a bus stop which takes you into the nearby Sliema and Valletta, and WELL WORTH a visit. The only real gripe with the hotel is that they don't warn you that you must book a taxi if you wish to go back to the airport. For some reason, in Malta, it is next to impossible to flag a taxi down. The hotel had access to just 6 taxis on new year's day and because we hadn't booked one, and no taxis pull up outside (like you would expect from a 5-star hotel anywhere in the world) we were forced to wait for almost an hour!!!! Not stressful at all. In the end a very kind lady offered to share her ride with us as she worked as a Maltese guide and had hired a driver (not a taxi). Thank goodness for their kindness. The hotel overall is very nice with 4 outdoor pools and one indoor pool/spa. I would imagine it gets very busy in the summer, but it's in a good position and there are lots of nice places to visit, less than 25 mins away.
