Let me start by saying i visited here with my boyfriend and we are 21 and 22, so we did go wanting to go out on the strip on an evening but wanting to come back to a quiet hotel away from the strip for a good nights sleep. Well if you want any sleep at all all week then do not book here!!!! The noise from outside the hotel is boardering on ridiculous, I would not have slept a wink without ear plugs. The hotel is surrounded by cheap party hotels on all sides, which means there is constant music and chanting all night. This continues from around 11pm to 6am. Then from 7am onwards there are screaming children running up and down the corridoors. The hotel bedroom doors are paper thin and everything can be heard from the corridoor. Therefore you get about 1hr per night of actual quiet. Not what you want when you've saved all year to be kept up all night for a week. The maids let themselves into your room throughout the day whenever they feel like it, without knocking, even when you put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door. One day we were getting changed and the maid let herself into the room late afternoon, she caught a glimpse of me fully naked. Incredibly inappropriate and absolutely no respect for guests privacy. The wifi is free but may as well not have it as it didn't work once on mine or my boyfriends phone for the whole week! Would be better off investing in better wifi and then charging for it. Typical sunbed situation where you need to be up by 8.30am for any chance of a sunbed. The room is very small and everything crammed in. The shower is half open so soaks the bathroom floor with every use and theres no fan in the bathroom to remove condensation. Also the toilet is positioned in the most awkward place with the sink literally on top of your knees when you sit down. There is only one charging socket by the bed and this didnt even work in our room. Severe lack of storage which means your belongings are lying about everywhere which makes the room feel even smaller. Only positives are the free safe and fridge in the rooms, near to lots of shops and 5 min walk to beach. Overall though these positives do not outweigh the negatives so would definitely not return and wouldn't recommend to others.

Mixed feelings about my stay on it, so let's start. Hotel have room-cards as keys, when I asked if I could leave mine on reception so I could go to the pool and beach, but instead I was told that is not possible and to dont worry since hotel is a private property none would take it if I leave it on the pool area. Well what I found out on next days was, the hotel isn't really such private property, I saw some people taking the bus from their hotels zone to come to this one to visit their friends, use the pool, the pool-beds etc and at end of day they would pick bus back to their own hotel, so in other words, no security on the hotel, anyone can enter and leave at free will... Hotel has 4 pools, 30cm, 60cm, 130cm and a more competition pool style. There have very restricted rules but staff only apply the annoying ones, for exemple, you can't play with a ball on the pool, the lifeguard will nag you and tell you to go play on the kids pool..., so adults try play on a 60 cm pool seams very fun, but when staff organize games of 6vs6 water games on middle of pool area and constantly hit people on the pool-beds its fine... Than there's a rule that's specifically say "no reservation of pool-beds allowed " but what happand?, people at 8am or so wake-up go put their towels on pool-bed then go take breakfast and go out or go to beach or whatever they want, and none can use those pool beds since they are "reserved" for hours or an entire day without the owners even go there. Staff knows about this problem, is a common issue but they do nothing about it. And to finish, I reserved with breakfast and dinner included, but for my surprise I had no right for drinks at dinner, not even water, waitres came ask if I wanted something to drink, I asked for water and a soda, and he then gives me a bill of 4,4 euros for a 250cl water and a 235cl soda... And saw a very sad situation, a couple was eating and their table had 7 plates on, and the waitress started counting the plates 1 by 1 out loud so everyone else could hear how many plates they ate, this was humiliating, didn't affected me directly, but I felt it to be totally unnecessary to control how much each one eats... The room have very poor isolation, at 4th floor I was constantly hearing the noises outside, the people carrying luggage in the hallway and even the elevator button calling..., and worse of all those the door slamming that shaked the bed, cleaning I have nothing to complain, but I did saw a roach on the pool toilet interior door, maybe just a isolated event. Bottom line, hotel location is great, very close to the beach and 5 minut walk to the bars night zone, but other than that I don't think it should be even considerate 4 stars, I was very disappointed on my stay there, well just my (bad) experience that I will never return there for sure.

First off don't let my title put you off but there is no way this hotel is 4 ☆. The checking was the worst I have ever experienced. We were told on 3 occasions to come back as the room still wasn't ready & people were becoming irrate even upset not nice to see on your first day. The reception itself was beautiful, huge, modern & airy with great aircon. When we finally got our room with a dissapointed view over looking the back of the hotel & a noisy tower block, it was clean, quite modern with a free safe & fridge with a big walk in shower but have to say the positioning of the toilet is an accident waiting to happen way to close to the marble surrounding the sink. The wardrobe doors have obviously been removed to make the room look bigger but I've got mixed reviews about that. Lovely pool & bar area with the extra addition of the solirium up on top which we prefered, which were all clean with activities around the pool which had the usual early risers 😅 The thing which let's this hotel down is the restaurant. It looks dated & not in keeping with the hotel the food was at times cold, undercooked, tasteless & little choice. The porridge was like water, the soup lacked flavour, your chef stored meat & fish together, the chips were dry, they were slow on topping up supplys & sometimes the cutlery wasn't clean 🍴 To finish on a positive the hotel is in a great location next to all the aminities overall we had a great time 😎

My wife, myself and our 3 grownup children (ages 17-25) stayed 1 week at Magaluf beach, we looked for a place that combine interest and enjoyment for both adults and young people. We choose the Sol Guadalupe hotel as our base and found it meeting our expectations. The hotel is well located, 3 min from the sea, and walking distance from all the relevant places (clubs, pubs with live sport, restaurants, other attractions, supermarkets and more). The hotel has 4 elevators that were readily available for us almost instantly whenever we needed them despite the 10 floors and around 500 fully populated rooms. The hotel has quite big pool operating daily up until 19:00, reasonably big & clean rooms, each one of them with nice balcony with view (note the different directions and as a result different view). The service in the hotel was good, and you can see the staff is trying to help out as much as they can. One drawback is the long and somewhat tedious check-in process. The dining room has diverse and tasty (not chef level) food as long as you stay 2-3 days, but when you stay for a week many of the dishes tend to repeat themselves. The number of tables for family of 5 was limited and the staff had to arrange one for us almost every day. The hotel also has entertainment team that provide daily show, 3 activities in the water, and mini club for young children. We didn't use any of their services, however from their activity plan you can see that the same water activities repeat every day and more varied would be more appealing, at least for us.

Pleased with hotel, room was cleaned everyday, close to main village resort, so many shops opposite the hotel. Can change to half-board by paying €12 per person per night directly to hotel. Downside is you need to pay for your drinks at dinner ( even water). There were enough sunbeds. 4 swimming pool. Overall all good would visit again..

We stayed at this hotel at the end of July 2017 and really enjoyed our stay, in fact it went too quick. The staff were always happy and polite and couldn't do enough for you, especially the bar and entertainment staff. Daytimes were easily spent round the pool watching or taking part in the pool activities and the staff running the activities did their very best to get everyone involved and having a laugh. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the air conditioning in the reception area was much needed on a hot day. And for once in our past four years of holidaying there was always something nice to eat at breakfast and dinner. The hotel is far enough from the strip to be relaxed and family friendly but close enough that you could be in the madness within a 10 minute walk with plenty of quieter bars and restaurants around as well. Brilliant holiday made memorable by lovely happy staff. Could have stayed longer than our 9 days without a doubt.

Very smooth check in reception staff efficient, air con in lobby very good. Room was functional with a double bed and one single as requested, sea view and pool view were nice. Pool was excellent lots of beds spotlessly clean, pool bar was fully stocked and sensible prices! Breakfast was good snack bar by pool was very good. All in all great stay and we will definitely return!! Well done to all the staff 😊

My family and I (2 adults + 9 and 7 year old) stayed here between 27th July and the 1st of August 2017. We arrived at the hotel at 14:30 to see lots of people complaining that they are not able to check in as their rooms were not ready. I decided to ignore this and make my own opinion up as to what sort of service I had. Knowing that i had booked my family room 8 months earlier i proceeded to check in with a very polite receptionist, but after 5 mins, it became apparent that there was a problem with my Family room, they didn't have one and had instead booked me into 2 double rooms (Remembering that I have a 9 and 7 year old). After showing my receipt from MELIA and me fighting a lost cause (The excuse we are busy, made me laugh) we agreed i could move into a family room the next day. We checked into the double rooms and made our way to the pool. The pool area is stunning and extremely clean, however yuou do have to reserve the beds at about 08:00. Meal times were an experience. Out of the five breakfasts we had, I had to lay my own table on four occasions. Dinner was much easier if you turned up at opening times, however some of the etiquette of other guests is a lot to be desired eg. taking all of the seafood out of a new paella and leaving rice should not be acceptable to the hotel yet it stands by and does nothing. The quality of the food is very good though. The kids club is fantastic, my children thoroughly enjoyed their time here, super hero day was their favorite. The service at the bars is slow, and not always in a polite manner. The hotel is very conveniently located for the beach and for Pirates!. A very large hotel with some great facilities, let down by some of the service.

Went to this hotel middle off July great location far not to far from the strip, went with my 15 yr old son nothing really much entertainment wise for though the day they need to do something more as exercising on a surf board every morning then cycling in the water every other day is not really exciting my son was bored no darts pool ping pong games for him the hotel is clean and lively but you need to think off other things for youngish boys.

Bottom line I was very pleased with this hotel, and would gladly return! Crew is nice, waiters, reception, good service quality. Entertainment Staff are fun, provide original water activity at the pool during day hours. Special activities for younger children as well. Every evening there was a different high quality show at the lobby. Food is quite good, especially if you come near opening hours. Drinks are not free during dinner, including water, bringing drinks into the dining room is allowed. Excellent free WIFI allover the hotel public areas and also in the rooms. Good air-condition everywhere beside floors corridors , which we found crucial during the hot weather during time we spent there. Good location, not right on the the beach, but 200m from it. close to bus stations to Palma and to the airport, close, but not too close to Magaluf Bars and Clubs. There is a supermarket nearby. The room we stayed in was quite small, and we did not like the look of the look of cupboard, which had no doors. Rooms are maintained well, and there is a free safe in the room. I think all rooms have sea view. I guess higher rooms have better view. There is an ugly tall building between the hotel and the beach that hides some of the view, which is a peaty, but we got used to that. Beach/Pool towels are given for 5 EURO deposit each, and if you want to have them replaced it will cost you extra 1 EURO per towel. Upon last day, if your flight is late, you can still stay at the hotel after check out, there is a shower in a back room behind the reception that you can use. Extra dinner can be added for 16 Euro per person. Few items for improvements, for hotel management: 1) beach/pool towels: a. put a sign where the towels are. b. process of taking and returning towels takes too long, and involves both reception and the lifeguards, especially when they are busy. c. re-consider charging 5 Euro per towel deposit + 1 Euro per towel for optional replacement 2) re-consider free sort drinks, at least water, during lunch. 3) Do not turn off the air condition at the dining room at the end of the meal, people will eventually leave anyway 4) re-consider charging parking fee 5) Vacuum-clean rooms floors, most of the time there was sand left on the floor after cleaning 6) Stop working with FC rent-a-car company, we were not pleased with their service
