Amazing hotel!! We went self catering and found the room more than adequate for cooking meals for myself my partner and our daughter. They even provide cloths and washing up liquid, you do need to remember a tea towel though! The beds were comfortable and the room clean. Pool area was amazing, staff were brilliant and always entertaining non stop. My daughter is usually very shy but braved the kids club the second day we were there and the staff couldn’t do enough to make her more welcome she loved it and went almost every day after that! Can’t comment on the AI food but the snack bar was very reasonable. Great holiday Will certainly be returning again
My husband and I booked a week at Pirates Village with our 6mth old baby and 11yr old son after seeing it on another trip to Santa Ponsa. We loved the pool area and the canopy areas were great for keeping our little boy in the shade. My older son loved the slush machine and ice-cream. The slides at the pool are great but too shallow for my elder son to go on. The hotel is close to a supermarket and the centre of Santa Ponsa, so location was brilliant. We were AI and found the food nice with a small but good variety of meals to choose from. Definitely one of the better all inclusive restaurants that we have had in Majorca. The room was disappointing, the bedroom was large and had great storage but the living area was small, the kitchen area dated and the kettle was grubby, which was concerning as we had to boil water for the baby’s bottles. The hotel itself was clean but we were surprised at how limited the maid service was in the room. They only made the bed in the room, the sofa bed we had to make ourselves each night. We had to ask at reception for more toilet roll, then had to call reception as there was still none in the room when we returned from a day in Palma. Towels were replaced and the shower area cleaned but there were always black hairs (belonging to the maids) left on our toiletries!! We would return as it was great for the kids but the rooms require redecoration.
It was our first time at this hotel the outside is magnificent looking. The inside of the hotel is the same all pirate themed which I thought was great for the kids. The two pools where clean looking and busy kids running around everywhere. I will say the pool was very very cold it takes your breath away. So much so my two year old refused to get in we had to buy him a boat so he didn’t have to touch it much. The pool area is busy and can be hard to find a sun-bed if you arrive down there late. Thank god we wasn’t all inclusive as we would have had to been like the rest of the people there and down reserving early in the morning. The pirate shows are great for the kids you don’t see much of the pirates during the day which is disappointing. They did hold a mermaid class which my step daughter loved and for €10 I thought was a good price. The rooms are standard and I believe are the same throughout the hotel. We did have some issues with ants which was sorted by the hotel straight away. We didn’t stay all inclusive as me and my husband aren’t big drinkers and we like to leave the complex. There is so much to see out of the hotel Santa ponsa is beautiful. If you do fancy a drink at the hotel though to buy can be very expensive unless you like the cheap all inclusive beer then you’ll be okay. The staff are lovely especially the manager Mo. The rooms are cleaned and beddings are changed frequent.
I have just come back from a wonderful holiday in pirates village. I can not praise the place enough. The staff, the food, the cleanliness are all brilliant. I was there with my husband and 2 kids, 2 year old and 5 year old. The kids had a great time. The kids club was fantastic for the 5 year old. She really love it and was begging to go everyday. It’s so safe and secure. The staff are brilliant and so full of energy. The shows in the evening are great and the mini disco is brilliant the way the guys interact with the kids is fantastic. Alec Luca Marta Tina Robert are brilliant and all the staff just can’t remember all their names. Great activities to do for adults too just to keep you occupied for an hour or 2. Darts shooting basketball poker. It was great fun to have a bit of competition. The selection of food is brilliant and lovely and fresh. The apartment is a great size. Massive bed so comfortable and not the normal 2 single beds pushed together like in other places. Great shower and some toiletries in the bathroom too. 2 bottles of water in the room when you arrive. You also can hire buggies. As we decided no to bring one then regretted it the hotel hire then for €20 deposit you get it back when you return it so it’s free really. We went all inclusive so didn’t do much food shopping but there is a massive supermarket up the street call eroski and it has all you would need the chemist is up there too on the other side of the road. Also there is s launderette just up the street too. I used it 7kg load €7 and then the dryer €1 for every 5 mins it was great and cut down on the washing when I got home. There is plenty of shops near the hotel and the beach is only 5 mins walk. But the hotel is that good you won’t want to leave.
Had a very quick 4 night stay at pirates village, filled with fun and laughter! The outside of the hotel have my son the wow factor immediately on arrival and we were made to feel welcome immediately. The room was ask we needed for our self catering stay and plenty big enough for the 3 of us. The view from the balcony was fab and right over the pool area! The only drawback was the lift to get to the room, one was broken the whole time and the other was very slow. The swimming pool and surrounding area looked amazing will a big pool, with a shallow area safe for kids as well as another area with slides. My son loved these, however the big drawback to these was the water was freezing and he could only stand short periods at a time! The entertainment team was excellent and put on some fantastic shows, in particular the afternoon show some the pool called pirates attack! Well worth watching! The team for all the kids bought into everything and our son loved every minute! Just a 5 minute stroll from the lovely beach, shops and the bars and very close to the big supermarket! Would definitely recommend this for a family holiday, however be ready for the icy pool 😂
We are just back from pirates village and had a fantastic experience, we were all inclusive and stayed room 132. Food was great with plenty of varition , plenty of healty options for kids and adults, freshly made pancakes went down a treat with the kids. Drinks was self service for wine beer sangaria teas amd coffee and the same for kids juices , slush puppies ,ice cream and if u wanted spirits there was a bar man on hand to serve them. Entertaiment was 5star , alec and lucas and the whole team do an amazing job, kids and adult games were great fun during the day basketball , darts , shooting etc, our 5 year old went to kids club most days for a few hours and loved it. It is a very safe place to drop of the kids with plenty to do, our daughter took part in the peter pan play which she practised in kids club and it was part of the evening entertainment, we had great fun in the pools which were a bit cold but once in you were fine, plenty of slides and i liked the artifical grass as its alot safer than tiles snd not slippy at all and its hoovered. We never brought a buggy but they supply them in the hotel for FREE just a €20 deposit which u get back at the end of the week, all in all a great hotel which is kept immaculate with a very hard working team of staff making it run very smoothly,
Myself and my husband took our 2 year old daughter here at the end of April for a week. It was her first holiday abroad so we were looking for somewhere that was family friendly. We found the perfect place! Pirates Village has had so much thought put into it and the attention to detail was immense. From the children's bathroom, with mini toilets and baby baths to the children's buffet at the restaurant. Rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. The bed was huge and really comfy. Food in the restaurant was lovely, plenty of choice and a constant variety every meal time. Entertainment was great, my daughter loved the mini disco. The Pirate Attack around the pool was brilliant fun! The staff at the hotel couldn't do enough. All extremely friendly, polite and hard working. Location of hotel was great, a short walk to the beach and plenty of bars, shops and restaurants. The only downsides to this hotel were the pools were extremely cold. However, given the time of year we went they probably haven't had time to warm up. Height of season it probably wouldn't be an issue. The other downside I could see was that being a small hotel, and other than the restaurant everything being outside, when we had a cooler windy day where nobody was sunbathing it was clear everyone was a bit lost. Either staying in rooms or venturing into resort. However, this wouldn't stop us from returning to the hotel. We had a fab week and my daughter absolutely loved it!
My experience here (last day today) has been awesome, my little one really enjoyed it. The entertainment is fun for kids and adults alike, we also went all inclusive and the food was enjoyable. The staff are very polite and the people that do the entertainment are great with the kids. I've seen a few bad reviews about this place, people regarding the lack of adult entertainment? What a joke, this is for your kids, and your entertainment should be seeing your own kids enjoying themselves. Oh, and Captain Cross, what a great pirate. ✌️
We had a weeks stay at the Pirates Village in May. When you arrive, it looks absolutely amazing and you really get a feeling that you are arriving to a place where pirates live! Inside the reception, the theme continues and it really looks good. We checked in no problem and made our way to the room. We had a room with a terrace on the "left hand side" of the hotel which meant that our terrace only had the sun in the morning. It wasn't a problem for us and we had a reasonable view but the people further up had a view of the steps of the pool and very little sun which meant their terraces were pretty useless. The pool area was great and the slides etc are superb but beware, the pool is brutally cold and I cannot understand why it's not heated for the kids. When you land in the pool where the slides are it's like landing into the sea it is that cold. It becomes a problem if the weather isn't great as the kids get cold quickly and then don't want to go in the pool again. The entertainment was really good for the Pirates Attack and the waterfight but we felt there should be more piratey things on. During the day, there's no pirates around and we thought they should come round, squirt water at the kids of something. After a few days you realise the only pirate things come in the shows which are good but nothing too amazing. We thought the entertainment could be much better during the day and a bit more pirate themed. Overall for the money we paid it was a good holiday, but I wouldn't want to pay the "high season" price for the holiday.
We stayed here in april 2018 self catering The positives - the hotel is really nice and clean and the outside looks amazing from the front the rooms are nice the entertainment team on a night is brilliant for kids just a 2 min walk to bar and restaurants The only negatives we found as a family is most hotels have children entertainment and then adult after they don't here so gets a bit boring and repetitive for adults who want to enjoy a drink also there is no shop on site and no indoor pool if rains the odd day all in all a good holiday enjoyed it but i do think this place is over hyped as one of the best holiday resorts but isn't anything spectacular apart from the entertainment
