This hotel was set up for a family holiday, beautiful pool, which wasnt cramped. Entertainment team amazing all ways on go. We were self catering which was ok as it very close to LOTS of restaurants. However we did pay for the buffet.on the friday the food was what I expected for a all inclusive buffet. It was tasty and fresh. I personally could have any of the fresh cooked food as the cooked fish n meat on same grill and I jave allergys to fish. Room was clean however my only issue was the location of my room 144. It has a restricted view of the stage area from the balcony which was annoying when my three year old want to go to bed. Also the lights that illuminated the hotel facade illuminated the bedroom even with curtains closed it looked like 5am. AVOID Rooms 144 and 145 .
Kids are still buzzing from our week at pirates village which has exceeded our expectations and some so much so we are already looking at going back and we have only been back a day..... the staff are amazing from the entertainment, sport, kids club right down to the cleaners all very very high standards. The kids are still singing the mini disco songs and managed to find them on YouTube for their tablets and iPads. Food was superb we have a very picky eater 7yr old and she even found the food good!!!! Which never happens lol. There is always something for the whole family to do young and old the kids club kept our kids busy when they decided to finally try it out Marta Ti Na are a credit to the staff. Mr Zumba Zumba made my wife's day with his aqua zumba he even managed to get me in the pool dancing. Alejandro Ceceña Lucas Kennedy amazing funny sports were a great laugh even when Lucas managed to smash me in the face (twice) during volleyball and water polo. Got my revenge in the end when he landed in the pool 😂😂😂 can't wait to be back!!!!!! The staff and management are so helpful it really makes you feel part of our big pirate family!!!!!! I anyone is thinking about a holiday here stop thinking and start booking you won't be disappointed.........
Yes, poo in the pool. The staff were incompetent at dealing with this incident and totally unprofessional and apparently unprepared. Eventually they sorted it but only after various families complained and rightly so as I can only start to imagine the health risks for small kids swimming with poo. Food was terrible. We ate out more than we used the hotel restaurant as it was so bad. Room was ok but cleaning inconsistent. The hotel is on the main road in Santa Ponsa so don't expect peace and quiet in some of the rooms. Ours was noisy. Feel we wasted our money on this holiday.
Best family holiday best entertainment ever and my grandson just wanted to stay at kids club forever, great staff, lovely rooms too. We are already talking about coming back next year. Got no complaints. Food was a wide variety too plenty for everyone
We went to this hotel for the 1st time, me, my partner and our 5 month old baby, on arrival the staff were lovely and helped us to our room with our cases. The apartment was great, we had a terrace, which was like a little garden and was ideal to have with the baby. The kids club seemed amazing, even though our baby was too young all the other kids seemed to be having a ball. The food was lovely and the location was great. We will definitely return to this hotel. We also flew with jet2 who provided the new luggage pick up from your hotel. So we just dropped our cases off in the morning to the reps and didn't see them again till we returned to Glasgow, making our return home totally stress free with no queuing.
First just let me say this was the best family holiday our family has had (myself, my partner and our 3 chidren). We arrived home 2 days ago after a brilliant 2 week stay. So here is my review of pirates village: Staff: On arrival we were greeted at reception by 2 very helpful and friendy staff members who informed us that our room wasnt quite ready as we had arrived early morning, we placed our luggage in a secure room and went for some food, the receptionist then came over to us and told us we could have another room that was ready. all staff members at this hotel work very very hard and i take my hat off to them, they are all extremely polite and seem to try their hardest to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Cleanliness: The hotel is very well kept, the rooms are cleaned daily and bedding changed every three days. the waiting staff in the dining room are on top of any mess straight away and the bar staff are constantly collecting empty drinks from tables. Room: We booked a superior suite and it is more than spacious enough for 5 people, our 3 daughters stayed on the huge bed in the bedroom and me and my partner slept on the camp bed and pull out bed in the living area. rooms come with all self catering facilities (hob, microwave, kettle etc) we didnt have much use for these as we were all inclusive (well worth the money by the way), bathroom has a nice powerful shower and there is a hairdryer to use as well. all balconies overlook the pool area, there are also several groundfloor rooms with a large terrace, which i wish we had booked when we had the chance. Pool: The pool area is brilliant for both adults and chidren, it is split into 5 pool areas, a very shallow 1 for tots and then go gradually deeper upto 2 meters. Just across from those pools is the waterslide area, 5 slides which are brill for all ages, me and the kids were never off them. the pools are surrounded with fake grass rather than a really slippery surface, didnt see anyone slip in the two weeks. Food and Drink: I read alot of reviews before we travelled to pirates village and a few people were slating the food, IGNORE THOSE REVIEWS, nothing wrong with food at all, plenty of variety and if you cant find something to eat then something is wrong. breakfast has the option of hot food, cereals, fruits, yogurts, pastries etc. lunch and evening meal had plenty of hot choices, fresh meat and fish cooked in front of you, salad bar etc. the all inclusive drinks where good as well, local beer on a self service tap, local and branded spirits available and a range of cocktails, self service slush, soft drinks, fresh juice and ice cream for the kids. also the snack bar is open from 10:30 till 18:00 serving hot dogs, burgers, onion rings etc. Entertainment: This hotel offers the best entertainment at any hotel i have been to, by a long mile, and the team behind it are are some of the nicest and hard working people i have ever met, you will understand the title of my review when you meet alex, the funny man of the team. The kids club is run by Marta, Tina and Rebecca and they were excellent with the kids, my 3 went in the kids cub a few time in the 2 weeks and they loved it, they have a wide range of fun activities for kids aged 4 - 12. The adult games were supervised by Robbie, alex and lucas and they were excellent, games included basketball, shooting, football darts and many more. The night entertainment was brilliant, kids mini disco at 8pm followed by a variety of shows throughout the week at 9pm, plus friday gives the adults a chance to walk the plank (which i did), my favourite was sunday afternoon when the pirates attack took place. during all the shows the entertainment team get smaller chairs out for the children and sit them at the front so they dont miss anything. i cant recommend this place enough, i am not one for going back to the same hotel year after year, but the kids enjoyed this holiday so much that we are booking again for next year.
We are a family of five and wanted to just take are two boys away on holiday. (Boys age 5 and age 3 ) we look at the hotel online and seen its reviews. so we wanted to try it out. Are five year old boy has anxiety issues on witch one of the workers Moe went out of her way to make shore his and are stay as comfortable as possible (thank you Moe x ) the hotel staff from the cleaners to the kitchen staff (Michael Jackson dancer ) always had a smile on there face and we're always polite . Entertainment was fabulous (big thank you to Robbie (legends) and Alex (Mr fox ) Sadly my wife fell I'll when we were away and had to go to hospital . Thanks to Moe and Robbie and the receptionists for sorting out a taxi and making shore we got to and from hospital ok and making shore we were fine afterwards . We will be returning in October with are youngest . Forgot to say about the kids club . It was fantastic Kids loved them all. Can't wait for are next mini disco
WOW !! As soon as we got back we've booked to go again next year :-) When we first arrived we where amazed by the outside very impressive .even the other people on the coach was shocked , Very helpful staff upon arrival and checked in . Of to our room witch was very spacious and clean a lovely sized balcony overlooking the pool area . The food was pretty good (not amazing ) even for those fussy eaters there's always something to try :) , great idea with "help yourself" to the wine, beer, slush puppy and ice cream .many hotels we've stayed before where every drink is poured and poor measures but not this place with empty half pint and pint glasses (plastic) My 4 year old had an amazing time at the kids club witch is very professional and always keeping the kiddies amused .its like come and go as you please witch is very helpful having a 6 month old as well :-) The entertainment all I can say is "wow" the entertains work tireless and amazing shows 2 days a week ,on a Sunday they do a pirates attack around the pool and everyone gets involved it's simply outstanding hats off to them all always keeping everyone happy :) The hotel is only a short 5 min walk to a lovely beach witch we went to a few times and a lovely beach bar 🍻 Very rare but I can't find a fault in the whole holiday (maybe wish we stayed longer haha) The hotel is a very family hotel and no drunken teenagers and loud mouth's abusing the drink. See you all again next year
We went to pirates village in may with our 4 year old and 9 year old. It was there first time on an aeroplane. When we got to the hotel we were shocked by the looks and the staff, everyone was so nice. The kids were so excited. We got a ground floor room which was amazing. The pool was right at our door step. And the artificial grass around the pool was a great idea, you don't have to worry about the kids falling. And plenty of slides and fun for the kids in the pool also. The kids club is amazing, kids love the staff and they get free lunch every day at 1pm. And as for the shows that are on in the evening, they are amazing. They put on a very entertaining show almost every night. My 4 year old son was obsessed with the pirates. The rooms are very nice, big beds and plenty of space. So yes we were very happy with pirates village, so happy we were looking into booking again before we even left the hotel.
We stayed for two weeks at Easter. Room was lovely, plenty big enough, nice balcony, and air con. The bed was the nicest we have ever had on holiday, cushions not so much! Silly thing to moan about, but shower tray too shallow and we flooded the bathroom every night after showers. Food was ok, as always with all inclusive it can get a bit repetitive. Pool area was beautiful and kept very clean, no thanks to sun bed brigade making the cleaners lives difficult. Entertainment was good, particularly the pirate shows, and my son loved it when pirates attacked the pool. All staff friendly and helpful, and we would happily return.
