Hotel is amazing the entertainment and staff are great, fantastic for kids under 12 as the older lot can get bored but location wise you have everything you need. The food was repetitive but we did stay for 14 days which was quite a long time in the pirates village as the entertainment is repeating on a weekly basis, although on the plus side if you missed anything the week before you could get another chance the following week.
Just back from a week all inclusive, with my husband and three kids aged 1, 3, 11. Food and drink was great! Brilliant selection and fresh and tasty and my family are all really fussy eaters. My son lived for the ice-cream! endless slushies and ice cream on tap all day. pour your own soft drinks, beer and wine. Bar was open till 11 which was perfect as there was no late nights with adults falling about like other places I've been. Smoking areas, which as a smoker myself I thought was great. Staff were 5 star plus. Mo the manager did everything she could to keep everyone smiling. She goes above and beyond. Big shout out to Tina from kids club who was just fabulous. My 11 year old who refused to go to kids club before the holiday, couldn't keep her out of it. Entertainment was brilliant. Yes there was adult innuendos in it but made it fun for adults and kids. My daughter loved the parrot show and mermaid class. Fantastic value for money, weather was fab, booked up for 2018, I cannot wait. anybody that rates this hotel low don't believe these reviews. best place I've been by far!
I stayed all inclusive for 1 week at pirates village with my son (8 autism and adhd) and my partner. I had seen some mixed reviews before we went so wasn’t expecting the greatest resort in the world! How wrong was I! Pirates village was amazing! Accommodation wasn’t luxury, but it’s more than practical, spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable! I would definitely recommend all inclusive as the cooking facilities are very limited! I was nervous taking my son as he’d never been to another country and doesn’t like change but it couldn’t have been a better holiday! I asked to have a bed moved in to my room so my son could stay in there with me (we booked an apartment) this was done within minutes of asking! The entire week was packed with activities for the children and adults and the staff were incredible! Everyone I encountered was friendly, helpful and seemed to really enjoy working there! Food was great, myself and my son are very fussy eaters and there was a good selection for both of us every day! I will definitely be visiting again! I couldn’t have asked for a better holiday! Plus the beach is nice and close too!
Very noisy at night here and not great considering it's supposed to be for families with children. Room a bit worn and nothing special. Cooking facilities very basic. No proper oven or even grill. Drinks at bar were hit and miss. The cocktails just tasted like pure sugar with some fake color added in. Children loved the pool but it was too cold for us to use. Theme good but rooms could be much better. Location not far from the beach.
Pirates Village was a great holiday. Really good for the kids. They had amazing staff who really appeared to enjoy working there and nothing was too much effort for them. The entertainment was excellent for adults and kids. There was a good choice of food and the pools and chutes were great for kids of all ages. all in all a very good holiday.
Just got back from a week at pirates village with my mum and two kids (3 and 5) The kids had an absolute ball; during the day they played in the pools and went to the kids club most afternoons to chill out with a film while the adults had a chance to relax. The entertainment around the pool (pirate takeover) was brilliant for all ages and the evening entertainment was fun although for us it started a bit late (8pm mini disco) so we didn't see much of the more adult shows! The food was good, there was a wide variety of hot food and salads and the meat cooked to order was amazing!! The kids buffet was a little bit random and my kids ended up eating a lot of chips and bread but they made up for it with ice creams and slushies! My only real fault was the accommodation, it was a bit tired and even with the door closed it was very noisy in the evenings. We only left the resort once to go to the local beach which was nice for the kids. Overall a fabulous holiday and would definitely return, the staff were all so helpful, it felt like a warm friendly family!!
Our second visit to Pirates Village, theres no other place like it, from reception to housekeeping to kitchen to bar staff to entertainment team to management - the staff are truly amazing and always smiling ,such a happy happy place, my kids absolutely adore it there. we stayed for half term halloween week and every staff member was in costume and in halloween spirit. the pool was turned blood red for the halloween celebrations absolutely spell binding. Excellent food choices, drinks choices and snacks on all inclusive, rooms cleaned daily . Ace kids club, totally secure with wonderful staff. I could spend a month here and never be bored as theres always something going on. Any problems any guests had were quickly resolved and dealt with by the wonderful Mo in customer services, this lady works tirelessly every day to ensure every guest young and old has a great time.Lovely lady and a credit to the hotel. See you next year everyone :-)
Fantastic hotel. Great helpful staff. Great food, great location. Spent a week here the weather was great the whole time. Would definitely recommend it, especially for young families. Mo is superb and so so helpful.
Pirates Village was actually breathe-taking when we pulled up outside. It is an amazing looking frontage. Inside, in the public areas I was impressed too - very, very clean and well laid out. We arrived at dinner time so went straight to our room, dropped our suitcases and went down to get some food. The selection was vast - literally something for everyone - all hot and presented well. We then went for a walk down to the beach area - we have visited Santa Ponsa previously (12 years ago) so we wanted to see if anything had changed - it was still wonderful with a great beach. Anyway, when we returned to the hotel, the evenings entertainment was in full swing and we were all tired from our day travelling; we retired to our room. This is where our opinion changed! The room, although light and airy was not well thought out. The bedroom was at the back which was away from the noise of the entertainment so we put our children in there however the "put-up" bed in the kitchen was very old and creaky so we just pulled the mattresses on the floor - however this proved to be no more comfortable. As for the bedroom being quiet, we were quite wrong - a large collection of noisy, wild children spent most of the night until midnight running up and down the corridors shouting and screaming while their parents enjoyed the all inclusive alcohol. During the day Pirates Village was fantastic, the staff were wonderful, the catering super and plentiful and the entertainment staff, although our children did not take part, clearly worked really hard to make the holiday memorable for all the children. At night though, the entertainment went on too late for us - our holiday was for us to be a family together and we wanted to spend great days together which meant that although we were not going to bed early we were not sitting drinking and allowing our children to run feral annoying everyone else. The lateness of the nights entertainment was my only grumble about Pirates Village.
My husband and I and our 2 daughters age 3 and 5 had an amazing holiday here at pirates village! The entertainment staff could not do more, they are the most hardworking, talented and loveliest team. We can't fault them, they continuously go above and beyond, as do all of the staff from reception and bar and restaurant and kitchen to the maids and cleaners who never seem to stop! We can't wait to go back there and enjoy another experience with pirates village we feel lucky to have discovered it as its AMAZING
