To visit this hotel you enter part of ancient Palma. It is a Palace renovated some years ago and turned in to a delightful hotel. It is a very special hotel made more so by the wonderful staff. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them and Mauritzio makes you feel like a personal house guest. It is a living art gallery and museum. With a surprise in every room. Try for yourself
Friendly and super helpful staff, Cosy and clean rooms in the heart of the city. Everything went smooth and fast even wit an early checkout and a late check-in. Breakfast is also a must! Highly recommended.
My husband and I stayed at this 5 star hotel and service (most) of the time justified the stars, staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel was renovated in 1991 and not touched since, it definitely needs a refresh. It was decorated to very personal taste from a bygone age...but to me It felt sombre and depressing, as though I was in the home of a person that had recently passed away! The breakfast room offerings was good on our first day and coffee fantastic but not consistent. Short staff created a very haphazard and tense atmosphere which was tangible and uncomfortable to be in at times. Loved the tea and cake offering at 4.30 but disappointedly it was the same cake brought out and by day 4 it was a bit stale. Our room was very average. TV was old and bulky and on a cheap stand, a table sat in the corner for the hotels 'stuff', but no dressing table for me. A mirror with natural light would have been nice. I feel complacency has set in, they need fresh eyes to keep on top of things. Some artworks amazing!
We stay 4 days in Palacio Ca Sa Galesa and had a great Time. Location is great as the old town with many Restaurants and shops is just in walking distance. It is also just next to the spectacular La Seu Cathedral. The Hotel and surrounding areas gives you a feeling to be back in the 16th century. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You get great breakfast and it has a unique nice SPA. You get bikes to discover the nice 10km long beachfront. And you will learn to drive your car in narrow streets in the old town of Palma. :-)
It was my second trip staying there and I will go back. Great service, nice rooms, unique property and a great location. Rooftop deck with great view is a highlight. Very helpful staff. Quiet street but near many highlights.
Nice room very very hard to find late at night as every street looks the same . Taxi dropped us 200 metres from the hotel as there is no car access. staff were difficult wouldn't be going back there has to be better than this supposed 5 star hotel !
Very beautiful, very unique property. They have only 12 rooms, as the rest of the house has been largely kept as it was before, when it's owner lived in it. It is a magnificent immersion in a bygone time. The highlight is the artwork in this place: there are two Monets in the kitchen, one earlier work and one very representative of his Impressionism, several Miros, Bannasser, and apparently there's also a Picasso but I didn't happen to come across it. Staff is very attentive. You have a choice of pillows and rooms are made up twice, the second time being for sleep. The rooftop patio is also not to be missed. All in all great experience, I would just add that we had some difficulty communicating with some of the staff, because we do not speak Spanish and they do not speak English, but the main staff at reception all speak English.
We had the pleasure of staying at Ca Sa Galesa. The hotel itself is stunning. It is an historic home turned into a boutique hotel. The accommodations are wonderful, the attention to detail and hotel staff are wonderful. We were within walking distance to wonderful sites including the Cathedral, shopping and restaurants. The only thing lacking was the air conditioning. We visited at the end of July and it was extremely hot. While the air conditioning worked, it did not cool enough.
I went to the spa and it was ridiculously good. The staff was superb. I went with my partner and we were 10 minutes late because it's REALLY hard to find a parking spot. We were supposed to be there for one hour and a half but u was told we could stay there as long as we'd like because there were no more reservations done for the day. I highly recommend it!
A great little hotel in a superb position, very caring and helpful staff and a lovely hotel full of character. We had a lovely room, air conditioning, great bathroom with excellent shower. Roof top area is great with sun beds and a charming bar overlooking the cathedral. Delightful spa with a lovely pool. So close to everything but still very quiet. They have bikes you can use to explore the city.
