Palacio Ca Sa Galesa

This huge restoration project merits 5 stars for "Palacio" but 2 stars for the "Faulty Towers" service. If asked, I give my critique and suggestions. It was a long list here but gratifyingly well well received by the manager. For seven nights we were in a barely adequate double room with two lights that did not work. The suite denizens, usually overnighters, probably did better, Breakfast was a wide ranging shambles with dishes reappearing for several days. The indulgence is to create and display a grand mansion, many spaces of which are not relevant to contemporary guests. There is no bar and an elusive waiter who is running hard somewhere else. Not a happy feeling from the largely amateur and overstretched staff. For swimming and exercise, the pool and "gym" are useless. Discussion about thin lavatory paper revealed that the grade ordered had not been supplied and housekeeping did not know. Good bits were the Garden Room, but watch the bird poo on your clothes, and the roof terrace for evening drinks. Heralded restaurant is still on the way. Hopefully it will be a focus to bring the hotel more together.

This hotel is very Central and full of character and interesting art. The pool is an original Roman pool and beautifully warm. The swim jet means a real swim can be had in the pool, which is small. The staff are very helpful. Things to think about. It is very expensive and the ambiance justifies this. However even the largest suite is small. There isn't really room for 2 people to use the bathroom at the same time. Access by car is difficult but manageable through tiny streets. The staff are very helpful and park the car for you in the courtyard. Breakfast is not included and at the moment there is no restaurant. Breakfast is available but we had breakfast out. Although there for three days our trips out meant we missed tea every day. There are many restaurants nearby. Car parking is an extra charge. Our bill for 3 nights with parking was euros 1400. We were initially charged euros 5 for a donation to UNICEF which was removed when we asked.

A beautiful well maintained period building with some modern twists. The staff were excellent from arrival to departure with them even waving us off as we left in the taxi. Breakfast was however expensive so we ate out each day as there are loads of places locally within a 5 minute walk.

This is the most fabulous hotel in Palma. I would recommend it to anybody for the great location, service and ambiance. Great for short walking distance to cafes and the sea. We had a great time. Try its Roman bath!

Such a wonderful place to be in Palma. The picturesque architecture is absolutely a must see. The roof terrace offers you an incredible sea/cathedral view, what a spot! The staff is very pleasant and I warmly recommend this place to anyone who loves atypical hotels.

We stayed at Ca Sa Galesa in January. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. On rainy days they lit a fire in the library, where the atmosphere was very much like in a private home. The complimentary afternoon tea/coffee was another pleasant detail. We warmly recommend the hotel for people who wish a quiet, comfortable place close to most attractions in Palma.

With its beginnings in the 16th century, this property has been superbly restored and maintained. One feels history in every room. Still, the rooms are fully fitted-out and comfortable. It's not "modern" which I consider a plus. Well-located very near the cathedral. Staff was very friendly and helpful Would definitely return.

The rooms are stuck in the early 90s. Old bath, old TV, old and noisy heating. Room was ice cold when Inarrived. The other 5* boutique hotels in Old Town e.g. Sant Francesc or Can Cera are definitely the better choice! Staff is friendly. Management unfortunately not on site.

We wanted to spend a day around Palma and were delighted to discover that this historic hotel is "always open" . It was a treat to be in one of the suites for the night and to be able to enjoy the spa facilities ( but the sauna was not quite warm enough) . A shame that the kitchen was closed but we look forward to returning to enjoy the dinner menu in the wonderful Dining Room !

The hotel is a beautiful palais from XVI. century and it is perfectly renovated. Great and extremely friendly services. Rooms very clean, WiFi works. Good location at 6" walk from the center Add a terrace with a splendid view on the cathedral and the sea They offer free bikes and arrange whatever you need Heaven...
