Wonderful hotel with fantastic and serviceminded staff. From the moment I stepped into the lobby and was greeted by the most kind and helpful night porter, to the day I left, I was completely surrounded by outstanding service and hospitality. I took the liberty of using your spa facilities and gym and had a wonderful treatment. I would like to send a special greeting to Silvia and Yavi in the restaurant as they made an exceptional footprint on my stay. The love and genuin care of all guests they met were out of this world - wonderful people!
Very friendly and helpfull staff. Started a bit disappointing the first 2 nights as I had a very bad and soft mattress. Than we also asked our cleaning lady and she was very helpful. Within an hour they brought a new mattress. I believe her name was Maria, so a big compliment to her for taking our complaint serious and helping us out this quick!! Rooms are very clean, spacious and have a good balcony. Airconditioning works perfectly. We got half board during our stay and would not have wanted it any other way. Breakfast and dinner buffet was excellent!!! Staff again very friendly and welcoming. Compliments to them as well, they are working extremely hard and still maintain to be very helpful and always friendly!! Plenty of choice regarding food and drinks, we did not miss out on anything! All of very good quality as well. They even have a part of the restaurant opened during the night for departing guests which was excellent for us! Only minor thing that we found of less quality was the Wi-Fi connection. Very slow and sometimes not even present at all. Best connection we got was by the pool, but even then very slow. Pool was beautiful and clean. Also during the afternoon you can order plenty of lunch dishes and of good quality. Entertainment every night by the pool terrace which has a good vibe and again excellent friendly staff. All and all an excellent hotel. Surely worth 4 stars! I would recommend this hotel to everyone coming to Playa de Muro.
Hotel is in average location with not much in the way of anything to do around it. Rooms are clean and comfy. Staff seem friendly enough Wi-Fi is an absolute joke. Can get more stable connection from using 2 cans with a piece of string. Best part is that there are many cheap hire cars near by. We hired a sports car and did a drive around the island one day stopping at many little old towns.
Reception staffs were very helpfully, specially Jessica, she promptly solved all the issues that we had, though the hotel should invest in a few more irons. As we went as a group and all required vegetarian options, I must say that I wasn't disappointed. To add, we were very lucky to have such a wonderful chef named José at our hotel, instantly he recognised our dietary needs and always managed to cook up an extra vegetarian option to accommodate us and make us feel welcomed, we are very impressed by his efforts. All in all it was a pleasant stay.
Had a nice 4 night stay here in early April, and really enjoyed it. The spa area was excellent and free to use for guests, it had a jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath. As the hotel was populated by German cyclists who were out most of the day I found I had it all to myself most of the time! The room was comfortable, with a flat screen TV, shower in the bathroom and the beds were excellent, nice sized balcony, but the fridge was a bit too small. WiFi was hit and miss in the room, didn't really use it near reception so not sure if it functioned any better down there. Breakfast was nice with plenty of choice, but the evening meals were disappointing, desserts were very similar each night and were more style than substance. Oriental night was the biggest let down, as I was looking forward to it because it is my favourite food. Sweet and sour Cod was passable but the Lamb Vindaloo was atrocious, no spice, and the Lamb was chopped into small pieces that were full of bones and gristle. The staff were all fantastic here, and I would definitely return but maybe I'm a self catering or bed and breakfast basis.
We had a great stay here. The pool was never overly busy as the beach was just across the road. Breakfast was really good with lots of options. We ate in the restaurant a couple of evenings and it was nice
The hotel itself is in an excellent location, the beautiful beach is literally across the road and there's countless restaurants and shops down the street it's on. (Though be aware, prices in most shops are extortionate!) Tip: whilst the heat can be stifling around the hotel, there's a glorious breeze down at the beach. The 'boulevard' is quiet during the day and really comes to life at night. Inside, the hotel is modern and the lobby is beautiful. There is some form of entertainment on every night and the staff were all really friendly. The children's entertainment in particular was outstanding! They put on 'Frozen' and pirate nights for the kids and they loved it. Furthermore, there's lots of food on offer and they vary their 'specials' every evening. It's clear that they try to cater to their guests from all over! It can be hard to get a drink in the restaurant, my cousin and I completed two meals without even water, but this is probably because it's so busy. The only downside to the restaurant is that you are allocated a time slot during which you can go for dinner - if you miss it, you don't eat. This can be rather restricting! The rooms are spacious, I travelled with my cousin and her three year-old son and our room contained two double beds and an en-suite. (The air-conditioning was amazing!) Unfortunately, whilst the size of the room and its amenities were more than enough for us, the daily cleaning let it down a little. The cleaners came every day, though this was only evident from the made beds and clean towels. They didn't clean the bathroom and there was no window or extractor fan so after around three days of traipsing sand back from the beach, the bathroom started to smell like a public swimming pool toilet as it was tiled from ceiling to floor. How the cleaners didn't notice this beachy smell, I've no idea! It wasn't pleasant. The pool outside is large and there's a children's pool as well. There's loads of sun loungers but unfortunately people seem to reserve these, even though the hotel policy forbids this. We spent many afternoons at the pool and, on one day, we noticed that one family had left their towels on the loungers and gone to lunch - they had been gone for up to two hours by the time we left the poolside. This is incredibly unfair on other guests! The same can be said for the umbrellas, some families took two, whilst other families, including the likes of us with small children, were left with none. Perhaps the hotel could begin to keep an eye on these types of guests? The children's playground needs a good clean - we found cigarette ends, cat poo and general rubbish in the sand. Overall, our stay was pleasant and I'd recommend the hotel to anyone who's hoping for a family holiday! Just ensure you call down to have your bathroom thoroughly cleaned every other day.
We just arrived and the pictures from WC speaks from itself. Yes no bath just a cortin. The reception told us don 't have autorization to change the room and asked us to wait until tomorrow. Very bad service for a 4 starts hotel I've been in 3 starts better than this!
This hotel is not a 4* hotel it should be a 3*. We arrived at 3.30am after a 3 hr journey from the airport, that's not the hotels fault. The guy that was on reception was very helpful and could see we were tired, there was food and drink if we wanted it to take to our room. He told us we could have our dinner the next day at 8 onwards as there were two sittings and we could change it to the early one the day after. So after waiting around til 8 we then asked if we can do the earlier one the next night to be told we can eat any time from 6.30! The food, there is a lot of it but it's very tasteless, we had lunch by the pool one of the days and we couldn't eat it my salad was swimming in liquid and my boyfriends pizza was uncooked. The pool area is lovely, never to busy and can always get a lounger. The beach is two mins walk aswell. There are also plenty of places to eat and drink, the cocktails at the hotel are very nice but we always went out to eat after learning the food wasn't great. The buses are right outside the hotel to go to alcudia and pollensa, very easy and cheap. Our room was clean and had a fridge. The beds are two singles pushed together so we felt we were sleeping separately (not bad in some cases!) the bath and shower really need changing! It's just shabby, mould on the shower and the bath was all cracked. I read some reviews on here that the road out the front was to noisy and yes it is if ur a light sleeper but it didn't bother us. All in all the staff seem nice enough, could do with abit more of a smile but will serve you, the pool is lovely but best to go out to eat. I wouldn't really stay again or recommend it. The location is great tho and we ve still enjoyed our holiday, the hotel just wasn't as wonderful as we thought it was going to be after a lot of research into it but perfectly happy to stay here for the week.
Stayed at the hotel from 29 August to 5 September. - We arrived very late in the evening because the bus that took as from the airport (which had more the 900.000 km on board) had to stop at all the hotels on the way to drop off tourists. We were told that we had some dinner we could have which was very nice until we actually saw it. There were some very cold chicken thighs and very hard bread (could not actually eat it). The coffee/tea/milk machines were not working. All we got was mosquito bites. - Several cockroaches in the room at the first floor - Double room meant double beds with different heights put together - Light bulb was "dead" in the bathroom and has not been changed for my entire visit, even though the cleaning lady has been there several times - Light in the room was flickering even though it was off - Air conditioning was making a very strange sound every time it would start working - The toilet seat was too close to the sink it would be impossible to use "properly". Had to sit sideways. - No beverage included in the evening meal not even a glass of water, everything had to be payed and the offer is not very rich - Some of the food in the evening was not properly cooked (tried rice twice and it was raw, also with beef schnitzel) - Some of the meals for dinner simply would end before having the chance to try them. We've been told (and it was written on the piece of paper we had to show) that dinner would be from 8 o'clock, but it was actually starting earlier. - My room was close to the reception and it was noisy all night - To top it off, we had to leave very early in the morning and were told that we could get a cup of coffee in the morning. The coffee machine "produced" a sort of dirty water for me, my friends and every other guest that was leaving that morning and tried to get a cup of coffee. That was really disgusting and almost a mockery. For the good things - Very good breakfast, plenty of choices (wish they had warm milk or a way to warm it) - The stuff was nice (although some did not speak English or German) and they kept breaking stuff every night - Gym was decent - Location is very good, close to the beach and the main road. We had a nice vacation but not because of the hotel we chose. I expected a lot more respect towards the customer and i've been to far less expensive and less known location were i have seen much more attention to the "little things"
