I stayed here with 6 others on my cousins hen do. The hotel itself was nice but like everyone else says the pool area is quite small but it's ok. The staff we're friendly although we were quite loud and did get told off but that's understandable. There are lots of Dutch and German people that stay here and the English are definitely a minority. The location is good as the beach is only a 5 min walk down the road along with lots of bars and restaurants. The food was good with lots of options, and the hotel rooms are ok but some have issues with leaky air-conditioning unit. Overall I wouldn't go back but was perfect for what we wanted and apologises for being so loud but we we're kid free for a few days so we had fun!
We've just returned from a stay at this hotel, it is not a 4 star. Food was good, drinks were ok but for all inclusive we've had better. We understand that if you want different drinks you pay a little more but not the same price as people who weren't on all inclusive. Your wrist bands are cut off when you check out at 11am, so if your there for the day you will need to pay €25 per person. Rooms were standard but air conditioning was appalling and needs to be addressed. Pool area was ok needs a good clean not a quick spray with a hose. Staff are not very friendly only one member of staff managed to smile when we spoke to them. Manager is one of the most rude people I've ever meet. Walking around with her headphones in. Groups of German men in stag weekend spitting in the pool nothing said to them. Will not be returning to this hotel.
Visited mid July for 4 nights with 2 friends. The resort itself was very pleasant and had lots of bars and restaurants and a lovely beach albeit very busy at peak times. The hotel was lovely and clean and appeared very grand as you entered. We were given a room on the top floor with views of the ocean which was perfect. The room was clean and spacious, it was fairly basic but it had everything that we could have needed. The only criticism for the room was the air con not being very effective, we had to ensure the door was shut in order to feel any effect and even then it was still rather warm in the room. We got a very good price as this was mid summer and we paid less that 300 each for the 4 nights and 5 days half board. The breakfasts were fantastic and could not be faulted. Often in hotels abroad the full English breakfast never really is what we would expect however it was very tasty, omelettes were offered and the scrambled egg was lovely. The evening meals were also very tasty and there was enough options to enjoy a variety without a buffet going over the top. Each night there was a chef out front cooking something different like chicken fajitas and this was always delicious. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and ordered us taxi's when we needed them. We liked the location as it was a quieter area to enjoy some lovely restaurants and explore the local town however it also was easy access to the Mega Park down the road and also not too much of a journey to get into palma. The bus took just under an hour. The pool area was always clean and big enough to be enjoyed by a number of people at once.
Excellent hotel with excellent service. Staff were amazing couldn't ask for more Came here with my girlfriend for 5 nights, not realising how crazy the atmosphere would be. Asked for a room with view of pool and we got it. Plenty of German/Dutch but very friendly & did not find them intimidating like some of the reviews say, they were very friendly and very good at speaking English Room was perfect & cleaners did an excellent job All receptionists were outstanding and had very good English, helped us with any questions we needed answered and a great knowledge of bus timetables and the area etc. Pool was perfect. With a nice seating area. Breakfast was different but nice. Would recommend this area to any between ages of 16-35. Lovely English bar also about 5mins walk from hotel but many nationalities go there, would definitely recommend going there Only negative comments I can make is that the wifi was not very good But neither was the general reception of the local phone network 'movistar' but wasn't a big deal! Will definitely be back here
Went for 3 nights with my wife to just get some sun and chill out. Realised once we were there that the resort is very much geared up for 18-30 style tourists. Like the German version of magaluf. Therefore hotel was full of younger people there for big nights out. This was fine but meant it was quite noisy around the hotel. Pool was small and not particularly nice around it. Breakfast was excellent with a big variety. Hotel served it's purpose as we only really used it to sleep and have breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful.
We stayed here for 4 nights mid April. We had a very cheap deal only paying £200 each which included half board and a 1day free spa entry. We arrived here mid evening where the staff were friendly and accommodating and were greeted with a chilled glass of champagne! Overall we were pleased with our room, it was small and stylish with comfy beds and a nice cold fridge! A good powerful shower and a flat screen tv, with only one English Channel but not important!. The air con kept the room at a good temperature! We was told we had a sea view but the sea was very hard to actually see but the balcony was like a sun trap! We would sit up there most evening and soak up the last bit of sun which was great! Only down side was the construction work going on at the hotel next door which was very noisy at times! But couldn't be helped. The food was great! Plenty of choice ,I'm not a lover of food abroad but I was able to accommodate British type foods, chips, pasta etc ..... A nice little pool area but unfortunately because of the time of year and the trees surrounding there wasn't a great deal of sun it was rather shaded! We used the spa regularly which was cheap. It was lush! Lovely pool with jets, great steam room and sauna with a choice of treatments. This hotel was in a great location everything near by shops, bars , restaurants ...marina a short walk away! Really pleased overall with out stay! Thank you.
We stayed here last week for 3 nights bed and breakfast. The lobby and surrounding rooms are lovely and give the 4 star rating feel, however the pool area and outside area is tatty and not in keeping with the rest of the hotel. It is noisy as well but I guess this was due to the time of year. It's worth noting (as we had not seen this in any reviews) that the resort appears to be the German equivalent of magaluf so was absolutely full of groups of youths on party holidays. Wasn't a problem for us as we just wanted a beach break but the resort is not really geared up for a romantic trip! We found a gorgeous walk to cala blava though if u walk down the hill to the water across the harbour directly ahead u will see some steps. Head up those and carry on straight and the walk takes u all the way along the cliff tops. It's gorgeous! I wouldnt go back to the resort itself but I think for the price this hotel does what you need it to. The breakfast is gorgeous as well.
Me and my friend stayed here for 2 nights. It wasn't so bad because we only stayed for the two nights. Staff were rude when we first got there and would almost get angry because we couldn't understand Spanish. One lady staff member was great. But she understood more English than any other and was very helpful! The rooms are tiny! Small and stuffy and the bathroom couldn't even fit one person let alone two!! The shower was broken and dirty as well! On the info it said there were sea views, but not one of the rooms had this. They had no English channels on the TV's and the Information had little info in English. You just had to guess everything. The food was poor as well. It was supposed to be an adult hotel but was surrounded with loads of teenagers!! Staff were actually a lot nicer to us when we checked out. The hotel as a whole is ok and the spa downstairs is beautiful! It's also very cheap! But it's the sort of hotel you go to and put up with because your not there very long, but would never go back too.
Me and my husband came here for five nights for a relaxing holiday break. The hotel at first seemed pleasent enough as we walked into reception, however we stayed in the lowest level room 109. Our "balcony" was never in the sun being so low down, could literally touch the next hotel within a few feet so had other balconies from that hotel directly looking towards our room, no scenic view only walls and shade. I don't know if 109 room is under the "maids staff room" as the room straight above us was ridiculously noisy every morning continuously moving furniture, slamming doors that echoed and shook the room. Not to mention the doors on our level that also slammed loudly which I seem to think are the access for cleaners as there's not many rooms on this level for customers. So majority of mornings me and my husband would agree to get up early , have breakfast and either get a sun lounger by the pool (very small pool by the way photos online deceiving) or go to the beach. Unfortunately every morning we've slept in till 12pm/1pm due to the lack of sleep and disturbance from all the surrounding noise. I'm only 25 years old and my husband is 27, we do like to enjoy a night out dancing and drinking however there are A LOT of what seem to look like 17 year olds obviously here to drink the bar dry and go out clubbing so some nights it can get roudy and normally there's some young ones screaming off a balcony. Yesterday by the pool the adjacent white hotel which again was only a few feet away I was watching the snack bar and someone from that next hotel hurled an egg on to our side, it hit a sun lounger with a man on it, luckily it missed his head a couple of centimetres but that could of hurt him as it was a hard boiled egg. The pool is not supervised, people jumping in fully dressed and diving in which according to the rules is not permitted. Theres roughly 40 sun beds so grabbing them in a morning is a must. Rubbish all along the poolside, the pool gets full of these needles from the trees and no one comes to scoop them out. The food here is OKAY, I've noticed both "cooks" from the snack bar and the restaurant touching raw meat when they shouldn't , the snack bar waitress/cook touched raw meat with her bare hands and didn't wash them just carried on with her duties and the restaurant cook had gloves on, touching raw chicken, but then walking round the buffet touching the serving spoons straitening them out- the ones the customers used to scoop up the food. Staff seem friendly. I would not rate this hotel a 4 star. Stay in this hotel if you're a party goer who's not bothered about room or pool size. The beach is lovely but hardly any sea front bars majority are souvenir shops or lower level clubs. We won't be staying here again. Hotel torre azul is a hotel for stag and hen party's!
Torreazul hotel was terrible . Rowdy around pool . People smoking and drinking in the pool . Arguing around the pool over sun loungers . Banging doors all night long . Litter all around and in the pool . No one at all supervising pool area . Loungers thrown in the pool . Balls bouncing off people trying to relax . Lots of towels on the bed but no one on the bed ? . Food was good . Spa and massage beautiful . Reception staff not willing to listen . Manager was lovely and tried her best . Definately will not be back ever
