Perfect Hotel. Everything worked. Staff were wonderful. Perfect Location. Food was excellent and plenty of it. Lovely Holiday Hotel, nothing over the top but nothing missing either. Clean. Excellent chamber maid who kept me fully stocked with shower gels and shampoo, and changed the sheets when I spilled coffee on them. Restaurant staff were attentive, helpful and pleasant. I'd go back tomorrow.
Stayed here for a week from the 27th July. Was lovely to arrive and our room be ready. Managed to get a room on a higher floor and had a fabulous sea view. Rooms very modern and clean. Lovely walk in shower. Kettle provided in the room which was nice and the use of a fridge. Downside, walls very thin so could hear loud music and talking. Restaurant also very modern. Fantastic array of different foods everyday for all meals and meats and fish cooked to order on the grill. Omelettes available at breakfast. Pool very clean and never had a problem getting a sunbed. Nobody git up super early to reserve them. Only about 60 beds but most people go to the beach which is about a 10 minute walk away. No ball games, lilos and no excessive jumping in are permitted in the pool. Read in other reviews about not being able to get 2 drinks at a time at the bar. Only saw this once when someone tried to order 3 drinks the same. Order different drinks and you are fine. All the staff were helpful and friendly except Felliciano (spelt wrong!!) Who was one of the barman. Impossible to make him smile! Had a great holiday. Weather superb. Would definitely consider returning.
Beautiful view, best staff, good food, clear place. Friendly place and nearby beach. German guests does not bad just happy everybody. I offer with everybody, party, rest, beautiful climate and sea. The best: Almond liquer.
Just back from worst Hotel so please consider comments if considering staying here. On a positive note rooms are clean and modern although pretty small. The staff here are soooooooo rude , the worst being the hotel manager Jose !!! No atmosphere what so ever , rules were a joke , there is being mindful of others but not being aloud to jump in pool , play low volume music , use a lilo etc the list goes on !! Life guard rude rather than saying nicely unfortunately you can't do that , just shouts - out !!! Or give !!! 3 young German boys were just having fun one jumped in was barred for the day - really !! This hotel was like a concentration camp Don't even try to take a piece of fruit from breakfast , you'll get shouted at and humiliated in front of every one . It would be easier getting through customs with a ton of ciggies Restaurant is like a canteen , plates collected on a trolley , food scrapped into a bin on the side in full view while eating. Setting doesn't change for evening so no table lights etc to create any kind of atmosphere. Empty hp bottle for whole week we were there , you had leave your meal and to walk to get any sauces etc as no table service at all. Only ate a few times as hated it so much Staff so rude , a couple ok certainly no way 4* service , everything a problem , very negative attitude. Resort is lovely , you can bike very easily as excellent cycle lanes . MG cafe - champagne bar is great on a Friday & sat , top Dj and sax player As for hotel , shocking , never again
I visited THB Maria Isabel as a lone traveller early July. After a mix up with transfers (blame Ryanair) I caught bus 21 from outside the airport to a bus stop 2 minutes away from the hotel - this cost 5 euro. My check in time was 2pm and I was an hour early but the receptionist allowed me to check in straight away. I chose to rent the safe, I was nicely surprised to find the air conditioning and tv remote free of charge as other Spanish hotels charge for these items. My room was number 303, overlooking the pool with a sea view in the distance. The bed was so comfortable, memory foam. There is a small fridge in the room, you will need to plug it in before use. One thing I did miss was a light on the balcony. One night I took a glass of wine to my room as I wanted to read outside for a while. I couldn't do this in the dark. The food in the hotel was fantastic for an all inclusive. The friendly chef cooked fresh dishes at all mealtimes. There were many other choices too. I spotted prosecco was available at breakfast, that's not for me but I'm sure others would enjoy this! For drinks you need to go around the corner towards the far end of the canteen and someone will serve you there. It's a very small bar in the canteen. I didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel, I prefer the beach to poolside. The beach is beautiful and golden, the first day I could not find a sunbed with a parasol to hire, they were all taken. Either get to the beach early or do what I did - take a beach towel and purchase an SPF parasol from one of the supermarkets along the strip for only 8.95. Much cheaper in the long run! Also make sure you get down to the beach to watch the sun set in the evening, it's beautiful! If you want to sightsee and don't have a car the number 25 bus takes you into Palma City. 1.50 each way. Jump off at the Cathedral and catch it again in the same place to return. I spent a good 3 hours wandering the narrow streets, I wanted to stay longer but it was around 40 degrees that day and felt the need for the beach and breeze again! The resort is mainly German, however don't let this put you off. The hotel had large groups of German youngsters having fun, they were no trouble at all. I felt safer than I would around English lads getting drunk! All in all a lovely relaxing safe holiday, I'm glad I chose this hotel.
The hotel is only adult, one of the main reasons we booked it. We had half board and the food was over expectation. Breakfast and dinner was not boring, every day we could choose something different. Food is tasty, can be choosen from already prepared food or you can decide what the chef should cook you. At least 5 different choices to cook in front of you. Parking is limited for the hotel, less than 10 cars but parking on the street near the hotel is also free so no need to worry. Room is rather small but enough for two people. Walls are thin so you can hear neighbours and the beds/mattresses are moving when you make sudden move. Lots of German and English tourists, mainly young and drunk but no issue in the hotel during our stay. Location is perfect, close to the beach but not at the beach so no extra noise. Street is also not busy. Pool looks nice and clean with access to the bar. Safe can be used only for extra cost. Drink for half board is NOT included. Cleaning is ok but not perfect. Aircondition works well. Generally very positive opinion.
My Wife and I booked to go to Majorca very last minute and chose the Maria Isabel. We arrived at 11am and it was raining very heavily. We waited in reception until 12pm when our room was ready and we could collect our all inclusive wrist bands. The room was modern and spacious and we had the best view over looking Palma and out to sea. It was perfect for the sun as we like to sit on the balcony on an evening and have a drink. The food was as you would expect from an all inclusive. Not amazing but was certainly ok with a good few choices per meal, with fresh cooked meat and fish for lunch and dinner. The chefs were always smiling and happy to cook more food should you want it. The pool area was nice and clean. The bar opened and at 10am and had a good selection of drinks on the all inclusive deal with cocktails at half price. It was also a good location with it being only 10 minutes walk down to the sea front. I would definitely stay again.
What a bad time here the most unhappy croud of workers the bar staff in particular so ignorant would not serve me with a drink for my wife who was sat 3ft from the bar. Do they not know that couples will get a drink for each other we were all inclusive think you are begging for drink and food Don't go
Stayed for a week at the end of June. Requested a high floor and got room 710, which had a corner balcony with views of the pool and the sea, but only a thin strip of sun during the day. The room was small and quite basic but had everything we needed. Crisp, clean white bed linen, plenty of hangers in the open style wardrobe, a fridge, and tea making tray. The bathroom in this room had a walk in power shower (always hot water), a hairdryer and a magnifying mirror. The room was made up every day and clean towels provided daily. The dining room is large, with plenty of room between tables. The food is average (not the best we've had, but adequate). Plenty of rice dishes, pasta, fish and some red meat. Chips only occasionally, but usually some form of potato. There's a chef cooking fresh food while you wait. His name is Antonio, and he's a lovely, hard working man, who always has a smile and nothing is too much trouble for him. The pool area is lovely and clean, with plenty of comfortable sun beds and umbrellas, and you can hire hotel towels at reception. The hotel staff are all lovely and friendly. The downside for us was that there was no entertainment at all in this hotel, and many of the surrounding hotels, so we were glad that we went half board and not all inclusive, as to take advantage of the evening drinks just sitting in the bar with no entertainment would not be an option for us! Also, the hotel and the area around is very German oriented. The bars, restaurants and shops all speak German rather than English. We were the only British people in the hotel for most of our stay. The TV in the room only had one English Channel which was a news channel. It's a short level walk to the beachfront and promenade where for €1.50 you can jump on a bus and go for miles either way. Arenal to the left (another German oriented resort), or Can Pastille and Palma to the right. There's also a mini train that costs €4.50 , that you can take and get off and back on once. So you can go to Can Pastille get off and spend the day and then get back on to return to Playa del Palma. All in all a lovely hotel and resort. We enjoyed our stay but it's unlikely we'd return there as it caters mainly for German holiday makers.
It was not the hotel that we booked from the beginning but we ended up here because of trouble with the agency that booked our trip to Palma. At the Maria Isabel they were very helpful and it was a nice hotel with small but clean rooms. Not so comfortable beds but it was ok. Breakfast was great, many things to choose from. Very close to the wonderful beach. I will absolutely recommend this hotel!
