Just back from a nice stay here - lovely clean hotel in a great location. Rooms are small but standard for a hotel - definitely recommend a room with a sea view. The reception staff could not have been nicer - really friendly and helpful. Some of the restaurant/bar staff could use a lesson in manners - they seemed to make up new rules on a daily basis and could be quite rude at times. They also seemed to assume that all guests were German - and even when you stated that you weren't they continued to speak German too you - very frustrating. The food was OK but very much catered to the German diet - especially at breakfast. found it difficult at times to find something you could eat. The resort itself is lovely and only a short walk away with some lovely bars and restaurants and nice shops. Would absolutely go back although i would rent a car to and from the airport as the transfer was painful at almost 2 1/2 hours.
This hotel is beautiful. Lovely place, excellent rooms, views and service. All the staff we lovely, smiley and couldn't do enough for you. Food and drinks galore. Very relaxing, clean and safe environment for the family. I would highly recommend
This Hotel is located in a beautiful bay with the most spectacular view from the pool and the direct sea view rooms. ... Unfortunately the good things stops there... - If you don't speak german, you are going to have a hard time speaking to the staff - During our stay, there was a lot of young german groups, which meant a lot of noise during the day, but also at night. (Shouting, knocking on doors at night and smoking in the pool) - The food in the restaurant was not very good, like it wasn't priorities enough. Overall we had a ok stay, luckily we could talk a little german and we had a room with direct sea view (make sure to get that) and Cala Ratjada i a nice little city with some good restaurants at the harbour to eat.
I have stayed in this hotel already 3 times. Much depends on what room you get. If you get the room with sea view, you will love it :-) The view is really beautiful and you will love it. Nice and large beach Cala Agulla 5 min to walk. Another 2 beaches in the city (you can also walk or use city bus). A great variety of dishes every day. Nice and friendly staff. The place Cala Ratjada is also very nice and I love to come back there every year. If you don´t like to spend the on the beach, you can walk to the lighthouse, this view worth it.
All inclusive four night stay with friends, what a fabulous location, the view is amazing! Hotel is well presented with a fabulous pool area with plenty of sun beds. Food was fine, rooms seemed to be newly decorated and shower excellent. Only issue with one of the single rooms was the sink and the toilet were to close together which made sitting at the correct angle difficult! Although this was an issue in only one of the three single rooms booked, double rooms had no problems. Short walk from bars and shops. All in all a fabulous, relaxing break in a stunning area.
We arrived very late (midnight) with our son but the Manager was very kind & offered us the key for the Restaurant so we could eat some salad, salami, yogurt and oranges they kept for us; therefore, we were very touched. The hotel itself was a short walk from the beach, close enough to bars & restaurants. The tourists were mostly German; therefore, every bar and restaurant in town had Menus in German & German dishes. The Spanish food was yummy, cheap and fresh. Breakfast at the hotel was plentiful, mostly continental with some "English touch"( local fried sausages and bacon ) which I did not like. I loved their Watermelons, fresh fruits and deserts! Every day buffet/help yourself- type of lunch and dinner. Menu was changed on a weekly rota every day dishes representing a different country from around the world. We could also choose to queue for food cooked openly by a chef using fresh/local ingredients. Cocktails were amazing! Free samples every day, outside the restaurant at lunch and dinner. All staff at the Hotel THB Cala-Lliteras worked very hard!... we have seen the same faces every day from 9AM - Midnight! The housekeepers were scrubbing like mad everything! Entertaining was OK, every evening, but not on everybody's taste. Great weather, the pool was very clean but the bloody bad habit the Germans have, made my blood boil! They kept taking the best sunbeds + positions, early-morning using the old towels-trick! We hired a car one day for only 30 Euros, paid 20 Euros on fuel and went on the other side of Mallorca visiting sites & spending the rest of the day at a Water Park. Although clean, the hotel is NOT 4 Stars! We had our room facing a wall so not much to admire. Most towels were ripped, the legs of the beds very sharp so I injured myself on arrival. I nearly freaked-out when alone... a haunting sound kept pushing air on my back every time I was entering the room, only to find out there was a flap in the ceiling near the door which kept flapping every time the draft was occurring. I didn't like the fact that some rooms were Smoking rooms; therefore, bad smell coming in our room through the "naughty flap". Overall it was a good holiday with a few of inconveniences.
Returned last week after 10 days all inclusive with children aged 14 and 9. I called the hotel before booking to check if they could cater for our vegetarian diet. I was told this would not be a problem. Sadly, all we could reliably eat was bread, salad, fruit, oven chips, cheese, ice cream and yogurt. I spoke to every reception staff who assured me each time that the kitchen would cater for us. Unfortunately, this did not really translate into reality. A couple of times, the food was wrongly labled so a cheese pie turned out to have ham or the pasta/ rice had meat. This was a real shame as the staff are lovely as is the hotel. A meeting with the Director ( Manager) resulted in the only good ( actually excellent) meal we had. After that, it got worse and our "special meal" was a plate of undercooked courgettes and aubergines. It appeared the staff thought we ate either rice, pasta or vegetables. They just could not get their head round vegetarian food.
My room was great over looking the pool the best thing about staying here was the staff so friendly and helpful especially in the restaurant I need gluten free food and there was so much to choose from and they brought me freshly baked gluten free bread every day😀
We were looking for a sunny long weekend, close to but not on the beach. What we found met all our needs and more... Although it would appear (like many resorts) that there is nothing available between October and May, by the time of our visit at the end of June everything was open and BUSY. Looking at the other hotels close to the beach, the THB Lliteras appears to have the biggest, with lots of sun loungers, and plenty of shade either umbrellas or trees if you find the sun a little too fierce. With grassed areas, kids swing, tennis court, ping-pong and volleyball court there's plenty to do if you don't fancy the pool. Food - always must debated! We found the fresh salads and fruit both unending and more than sufficient, PLUS the hot food and the fresh grill (Baba you're a star). I understand that some might find it bland, but they are catering for many guests, and there are plenty of sauces and spices available to add to your food if you find it lacking. The room - was comfortable, but maybe a little cramped for the 3 of us as a family, but we didn't go there to spend out time in a hotel room, why would you?? The nearby beach at 15 minute walk was perfect to let lunch go down and it was fabulous, sheltered and sandy with a clear view of the fish. A dive shop close at hand and all manner of watersports on offer. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk if you do want to eat elsewhere, but we didn't feel the need to after 5 days, and we wished we would have stayed longer. The staff - they more than made up for what might be seen as a "dated" hotel. It's not the most modern and wi-fi was iffy, but the staff were brilliant. We had a tiny misunderstanding with our "full board" as all others seemed to be all inclusive, but a quick note from the reception to the restaurant and all was fixed. In fact 5 minutes later the manager came to apologise... totally not required, but a nice genuine touch nonetheless. Of note - Francesca (reception) wonderfully approachable and nothing was too much for her. Jana in the restaurant was always there with a smile and welcome. Gabino too was great. Baba the "fry cook" also happy to cook it right and pile it high. Thank you all for the perfect break in the sun....
A lovely hotel with very friendly staff. It's location is good, a quiet area but easy walking to restaurants and shops. The pool area was very clean and had no problems getting sun beds. The restaurant was very good with fresh food cooked to order and a large variety of other dishes available. It was also a bonus to have access to their other hotel where we were able to enjoy the spa facilities. We had a very enjoyable holiday and would return to the hotel and resort.
