Our view was amazing the mojitos great, and the breakfast delicious. That being said the bed was rock hard and the walls paper thin! The heated pool that was advertised was for lap swimming so my daughter could not use it. The others pools were either too cold or had an age restriction. It was a good overall experience but we will stay somewhere else if we go again.
Basic but clean and spacious rooms (just need in-room wifi and working English channels on TV - French and German channels all working, no English language ones...). Friendly and helpful staff and very good value in the off-season. Half-board restaurant food more than acceptable for the cost.
Fast check in- could have upgraded to all inclusive for a very reasonable price which would have been great if we had the grandchildren with us. We decided to enjoy our evening meal at one of the nearby restaurants. Breakfast was fantastic-hot and cold buffet-fruits, yoghurts, pastries and a lovely selection of fresh breads. The young that did the fitness was first class- stretching, yoga,Pilates and Nordic walking and I thoroughly enjoyed her passion. The beach with sun beds was just across the prom although there were plenty of sun beds around the pool. There was a larger pool for serious swimmers at the sister hotel up the road and also a spa. Would definitely revisit.
The Hotel itself is really recommendable, very helpful staff from the beginning on (sparkling wine /cava/ at the reception, nice and courteous staff in the Restaurant. We had a renovated nice room on the 4rd Floor (top Floor) with sea view. Regarding the Location of the Hotel we were a little bit disappointed because the Hotel has not its own beach, there is a small street between the Building and the partly rocky seashore. 30m in the east there is a sandy beach (a bay) with a lot of sunbeds and Parasols for rent (€ 12,50/day). But the Hotel has also sundbeds around the pool. If its windy, we recommend to take the beds directly behind the protecting glass wall!
This was our second visit to this lovely hotel and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The hotel is in the quiet and peaceful area of Son Baulo and with the soundproofing in our seaview room we heard less noise and slept better than we do at home. The mattress on the bed was very comfortable and it was nice having a choice of pillows. It was also nice to have such good spotlight lighting in the bathroom. Also, thanks to Isa for the towel sculptures, they did make us smile. The food in the restaurant was excellent. It was delicious, well cooked and varied - we particularly liked 'vegetarian corner' and the traditional Mallorca night. The dinner sittings were 6pm or 8pm and it was nice to have an allocated table especially as we were lucky enough to get a window seat this time. Also, the violinist who played in the restaurant on Saturday evening was an exceptional talent. All the staff were lovely but the restaurant staff were exceptional and also a special thank you to Rudy on reception for all his assistance.
The easiest thing to do here would just be to say "ditto" in response to the other reviews. Firstly - arrival. We were met by Sandra, who was probably the most professional and efficient "front of house" individual I have ever come across. Friendly, smiling and polite. An offer of champagne or orange juice, she allowed our bags to be taken into the adjacent office until our room was ready. She noticed that we'd not been given the superior sea room we'd booked and amended it straight away. The room was ready for 1.00pm and we got in just after. The room, although a tad on the small side has been upgraded relatively recently I'd say. The view is lovely, basically straight out onto the sea and beach. Others have said that they are fully insulated. They are not BUT are far better than others I have stayed in - you can still hear outside. A bar in front of the hotel on the beach played music and even though we were at the far end of the hotel you could still hear the music with the sliding doors closed. The bathroom was fine. The grounds of the hotel are nice enough and my one concern about the size of the pool wasn't justified as hardly anyone used it and I was free to swim alone in it. There were more than enough sun beds for everyone, we never got around to getting to the outside area until 9.30ish but always found something, although beds were still covered by towels and not used all morning. I cannot still get my head around this bizarre culture, especially when there was enough beds - it must be ingrained into the psyche of our European brothers and sisters! The catering was good - with a wide selection of food, and for the first time in ages, it was piping hot. Breakfast and Tea in the hotel, dinner time across the road in the sister hotel - All Inclusive The drinks were of decent quality and not limited to just local produce - All Inclusive. The staff are really good, from cleaners, waiters/waitresses to reception - all helpful and eager to please. The local area around the hotel is relatively quiet and the all day market on the surrounding street on the Friday was busy and interesting. The beach is a cross between rock and sand, the sea nice and clean - it is a blue flag beach. A 15 minute walk along the promenade takes you into C'an Picafort, which is a nice and relaxing stroll either during the day or night (well lit). The only negatives I can think of are: The quality of the Internet is poor and only free in the bar/reception area, you have to pay additionally for it in the room. In this day and age it should be free and quicker across a whole hotel. Penny pinching. The extra cost of paying to change your beach towel - a euro every time. You already pay a 10 euro deposit for your stay that you get back. I've never heard of a hotel charging every time you want to change it. Penny pinching again. One thing for the hotel to check up on is the issue of an alleged shutle bus to and from the airport - on the Expedia page it suggests that there is one. I e-mailed the hotel group on their web page to enquire but got no repsonse. We got a taxi there (85 euro's and around 50-55 mins drive) and back (75 euros). There is a bus service a lot cheaper. I completely forgot to ask about the shuttle service whilst there. The fact that reception advised me to get a bus on the way back (for cost) suggests that there isn't one. In essence I always ask myself the same question - would I come back to the hotel? In this case, YES, very definitely. I have stayed in far worse 4 star hotels over the past 5 years - ignore the fact that this is a 3 star hotel - it isn't. A little gem!
We stayed for a week at this hotel. On arrival we were given a superior room, check in was efficient and well-explained, we were offered a drink. The room was very spacious, with a huge wardrobe, very modern with a beautiful bathroom, and we had a balcony with views on the street and the sea. We were on the top floor, and we were never disturbed by the noise from the street in the evening. Room was cleaned everyday, towels changed on request. The beds were very comfy and we always had a good night sleep, we never heard our neighbours. The hotel has a small pool, a huge beach terrace with sun beds and direct views and access to the sea, which is great so that you don't have to stick your towel on the sand. It also has a very well-equipped fitness room. The pool didn't bother us, as we had access to their sister hotel which was right across the street. There, they had two bigger pools which we often used. They also have a huge spa facility, with a range of pools and jets, sauna, hammam, I highly recommend trying it out as it is included in the price. We stayed all inclusive and i don't regret it. I never stayed all inclusive in Europe, but tried it several times in the carribean. Although this is not comparable to the offer in big carribean resorts, I was pleased with the all inclusive at the ferrer concord. Breakfast was good, the same things every morning but there was enough choice if you fancied something different every day: eggs, bacon, hams, cheese, breads, pancakes, churros, fruits, cereals,... the only down side was that they didn't have fresh juice every time. Lunch was served at the sister hotel, you had plenty of choices there with hot and cold food. The food was excellent and of high standard. We were never offered the same dishes from one evening to another, and there were a wide variety of dishes. Every evening they had a feature, one time we had a chocolate fountain, another a Asian themed night. With your meals, you could have a choice of water, soft drinks, wine and beer, and you could have as many refills as you wanted. In addition, there is a all inclusive carte for the drinks with some cocktails (could have been more choice), beer, wine, sangria, liqueurs and so on. There is also a station where you can help yourself with snacks:pastries, fruits, cakes, ice creams. One thing that I really appreciated was that you could also use the ferrer Janeiro station when using the facilities over there. The only downside to the hotel were the animations, they have a lot of sporty activities during the day, but in the evening it is mainly music night, don't expect any shows. Saying that, the hotel is located in the quiet area of Son Baulo, there are a few restaurants and bars, but not much animations. However Can Picafort is about 20 Minutes walk and is a lot more lively area with a lot of bars and animations. There is also a great bus line right outside the hotel that will take you to Can Picafort and Alcudia. All in all we were very pleased with our stay and definitely would recommend it for a relaxing and hassle free holiday?
Reception. On arrival we were greeted by very welcoming reception staff. Even given a glass of champagne as we checked in. Checking in was very good quick and efficient, Room. We were given room 223 we couldn't have been given a better room, low floor, pool and sea views and the room was very modern inside. Maid service every day, some days the cleaners left animal shaped towels on the bed,a very nice touch. Bar area. The bar was always very well stocked and the staff were very pleasant. Food. The Food was always hot with show cooking and themed nights always a great choice. The restaurant staff were also fantastic always happy to help and always quick to remove finished plates. Pool areas. Both pools were great always clean and plenty of sun loungers (we always got a lounger no need to be up at the crack of dawn) The spa was also great clean and all working as it should be. Entertainment. The entertainment team work very hard and try to keep everyone engaged. (As in my previous review some nights of external entertainment weren't the best only 1 or 2) But some were very good. We went out the night Jurgen (German international singer) was on as you were required to book a table for €25 if you wanted to sit outside and watch the show ???? Over all we enjoyed our stay at this great hotel that is in a great location. Can't say enough about the staff as they all are great. Thanks.
Came here for a week half-board. Soon upgraded to All Inclusive with a 20% discount, well worth it. Excellent view from the sea front room. Room was clean and well furnished. Food was excellent, different everyday and tastes great. Staff were very helpful and friendly. It is mainly German there but not a problem as all staff spoke about 5 languages each. It is located a pleasant 15 minute walk from the main center of Can Picafort which is lively but not crazy. Excellent hotel, great location would definitely come again.
We have just returned from our first visit to The Ferrer Concord Hotel and we have to say it was 'Wonderful'. From the moment we arrived until we left it was pure heaven. All of the staff here work very hard to make it a magical experience for the guests and we thank all of them for this. I am going to mention Rudy on reception purely because I had the most conversation with him. If every hotel had Rudy on reception it would be guaranteed excellent customer service. Our room - a superior room on the third floor was a sea view room and worth every penny of the extra cost for the view alone! Amazing. I must also mention the sound insulation - I slept very well in this room because it was noise free, again worth every penny. However there is a general quiet feel to the hotel overall so noise I imagine is rarely a problem. The food was some of the best on all inclusive we have eaten. The choice at all meal times was the biggest we have ever seen also - something for every palate. It should be noted that lunch is only served at the sister hotel Ferrer Janeiro - a mere twenty steps from the Concord. And all kept at a good temperature whether hot or cold. ie - the hot food was hot and the cold food was cold. We particularly liked the fact that you are allocated a table for dinner on first visit to the restaurant and outside on the terrace is perfect in the evening - thanks to the very friendly restaurant manager. One point that could be improved was hot plates for the hot food and a sign to direct you to them. This is just a minor point for improvement and would add to the overall excellent experience. Entertainment was good and regular at either the Concord or Janeiro. Drinks served in both hotels are served to your table by very attentive staff. In summary this is a perfect hotel in a perfect location. It should be noted that it is away from the busy Can Picafort centre, and in a quiet residential location on Son Baulo beach which is a blue flag beach. Perfect for relaxation which is exactly what we were looking for. Thanks again to all the amazing staff at this hotel for making our holiday fabulous. This was our first visit, the first of many we hope. Mr P & Mrs N Granger
