Excellent location, very clean throughout, very friendly and helpful staff. The food was of a reasonable standard, no complaints and varied. Rooms were on the small side, bathroom in particular was tiny. Shower unit was about the size of a telephone kiosk. Furniture was Spanish design showing its age.I believe the hotel is due for a facelift end of year.

honestly hotel needs to be refurbished throughout ,especially the really small showers, food bland, exception was the breakfast when you had a good choice, restaurant closed at lunchtime and you HAD to go to the sister hotel across the road which was classed as 4star this caused utter overcrowding and was more like a cattle market, you could only have the basic drinks despite being on all inclusive, then being told not valid at the sister hotel, which they were forcing you to use,a bit of a rip off, rooms had two single beds NOT DOUBLES as were advertised, staff polite, cleaners very good, no problems with pol area plenty of sunbeds available, entertainment great for very young children, only one outside show presented for the whole week ,the rest of the time performed by the resident entertainment team 99% of the time in German, hotel 5 mnts walk from beach which is well maintained ,recommend scotts bar at top end of town for meals away from hotel, plenty of shops mostly selling he same stuff but ok if you're a shopaholic, prices everywhere noticeable high, but thats probably down to the euro rate of exchange, good mix of nationalities in the area, santa ponca itself is nice, and would go again, if hotel fully refurbished would use again ,globales who own the hotel also own the two opposite so dont get confused when booking or dissapointed on arrival.

Wife & I just returned from a weeks stay. Rooms in need of a very big upgrade which is due in this winter. Shower & box bathroom tiny ! Beds a tad uncomfortable! It is a 3* so you must remember. On the good side the hotel is very clean. Room service & towels changed every day. Staff very helpful & friendly. We were all inc for an extra £70. If lunch required you had access to the park hotel opposite. Very nice 4* but absolutely full to the brim. (Too busy ) I preferred our own 3* due to the cliental & lazy relaxing atmosphere with a sun bed to be got at any time of the day. Breakfast & evening meals were very good with a selection to suite all. Would return at some point in future if rooms get the upgrade which required. Perfect location. Good enjoyable relaxing beech holiday all in all

We booked the hotel as a last minute holiday as it was one of the only hotels that had rooms available, I can see why now. The rooms are very small and the shower is too small to wash in. The snack bar is over the road in the sister hotel the Santa Ponsa Park with the adjoining Pionero, you can use it and have a drink in there except they have a habit of turning the drinks off well before closing at 24.00 o'clock. I was behind someone who complained and they turned them back on. Despite what previous say you are not allowed to eat in any of the restaurants in the Globales Santa Ponsa Park unless you pay to upgrade to a black band which is 5 Euro per person per day. The food is very repetitive the same food was on for 3 consecutive days. The pool is really dirty, debris floating in the water and on the bottom of the pool. I complained literally after I arrived after looking round the hotel and seeing the room and was told by the receptionist " it is a 3 star. I have stayed in other 3 star hotels that are palaces compared to the Globales Playa Santa Ponsa. I was never offered the option to change hotels and to be honest it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed. The shower rail in the courtesy room was handing off the wall and held up with a plug chain. After 10 mins the staff knocked the door to asked us if all 3 of us had finished as someone else needed to use the room. Globales, I am very disappointed, I have stayed in hotel America, Palma Nova Hotel and even the Santa Ponsa Park. Either refurb this hotel or shut it down. The only good thing about the Globales Playa Santa Ponsa is it is less than 5 minutes walk to the beach which is where we spent all our time. You can hire pedalos for 15 euro for an hour or stand up paddle boards for 9 euro per hour, but do not be late back or you will have to pay extra. I seen the staff chase a couple up the beach who refused to pay the extra as they were late trying to pull their bags off them to look inside as they walked. If you have already booked the hotel cancel it.

Arrived in the middle of the night two adults and an almost two year old. No bed for two year old. Not even a cot to offer. Two twin beds and a pretty dire view of a flat roof. Balcony not suitable for children as flat roof easily accessible to toddlers as we found out. Asked for bottled water and told not available on All inclusive. Pool towels not available on All Inclusive. Manners from receptionist Olga you guessed it, not available on all inclusive. After what appeared to be someone urinating over the balcony onto our clothing I approached olga and stated I think someone's urinated over the balcony, she shrugged her shoulders and with a grimace said "what you want me to do about it". Your job olga, your job. Not my responsibility to sort out your guests. Perhaps if enough wardrobe space had been provided the gentleman could have urinated in one of those instead of over the balcony. Pretty poor attitude from olga, perhaps stick her in an office with no windows, that way she can't be rude to your clientele. Food looked amazing but on plating was tepid, servery lights on but ban Marie's underneath didn't appear to keep anything warm (stone cold). After being ill decided to eat away from hotel. When I say away I don't mean the snack/pizza bar. Pizza parlour shown on website is across the road at sister hotel, go across with your different coloured wrist bands and get treated like a poor relative, personally I'd rather not. You can collect from the snack bar and take it back to the playa, or you can sit and pay for drinks as when you use the sister hotels snack bar drinks are not on your all inclusive deal. The animation team where brilliant with the toddler as where all the staff. The entertainment is geared up for under 10s. So if you've teenagers be prepared to spend money they're pretty isolated and ostracised from the entertainment. Sports archery darts all things teenagers would want to partake in they can't unless 18 or above but this doesn't have an age restriction on the website neither. This hotel is two star and I opted for a four star hotel. I give it two star purely for the animation team and all staff whether they be in the dining hall, cleaning or bar tending they where super friendly. The other guests where great if you've already booked this hotel try jackies for meals out and there's a bar across the road you can purchase a pizza and a have a drink whilst you wait for it. Spoke to the rep she said she hadn't seen us around, we did spend a lot of time dining out. If your looking at booking a globales hotel don't. I certainly wouldn't go with Thomson's again. I booked through them for a decent hotel suitable for a baby, it wasn't.

The hotel is in an excellent location 3 minutes to the beach, the Staff are friendly and corteous and the small Rooms are cleaned daily, balcony small with clothes drier. The bathroom is small and the shower enclosure was very tight. There is a small flat screen TV on the wall over 7 feet up it had bbc1 and ITV, but i couldn’t see it properly because i am visually impaired, the sound was poor and travelled through to the next room. The room key is a Yale key for the three of us which was a minor annoyance as i am used to the credit card style lock which means we would have a key each to do our own thing. Air conditioning was a bit weak and no fridge but i think you can hire one for 40 odd Euros a week, (you can also buy one for that). The Safe cost about 30 Euros for the week and that was a must because the door frame was a bit shaky. If you want to use the hotel WIFI it will cost you 20 Euros for the week (good job you can use your package for roaming now). The food choice was ok but the beef steak tended to be a little on the chewy side and on a couple of nights the vegetables were a bit too al-dente. Having said that the duck with orange was nice, the last time I had that was 1972. There is self service hot drinks in the bar area at the playa during the day but at night you have to go to the bar which means you could be standing behind half a dozen people getting huge rounds when there is only one barman on. That’s why i brought my own kettle. The pizzeria in the Globales hotel across the street is open for all inclusive guests from the playa 11AM till 6PM and 10PM till 12. No hot drinks in the evening. Santa Ponsa has an excellent beach, Sun lounger 4.50 parasols 4.50. if you don’t want the parasol drag the lounger clear and pay for the lounger only. Nobody drags you into restaurants or selling watches etc If you like Indian the only restaurant i could find is quite good. This is a very average hotel. However it's not all bad. The hotel is basic but clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The all inclusive food was very good if not a bit samey. Excellent for families with small children and perhaps for older couples too but for couples who want to be venture to the vast array of excellent restaurants and bars you might feel a little restricted and want to spend more time at the hotel to get the most out of the all inclusive drink. Not enough outside seating area by the pool needs to be utilised better. The entertainment at the hotel was very poor with only one night with a tribute act. The rest of the week was just the "Entertainment" staff and whilst they were very enthusiastic were not very good. The kids did not seem to mind, just more stuff for the adults. All in All just ok.

I did a few reviews before we went about the showers and things and thought people were just moaning. Lets start with the staff I did not have a bad word to say about the staff if you ask for somthing they are only to happy to help you. Food was ok about the same as any all inclusive I have been to before. Now the bad bits the hotel its in need of updating and mantaince the showers or at least the shower in our room (360) was tiny doors were very hard to get to close. Telephone socket not fitted proplerly so a big hole was showing. A wedge of wood in the bothroom holding part of the door frame on. Holes in bed sheets. Marks and scrapes all over walls. Rooms are small but not a great problem. Would I stay here again ? No not unless it was overhauled. Saff are Great Hotel is NOT

My first review Ok well il start by saying that globales hotel is really not up to scratch. We arrived at the hotel in good time transfer was on time and everything run smoothly we got the key to the room and was told where to go and we had been told to ask for a pool view we went to the lift if ur not one for small tight spaces if avoid the lifts as there's no room. We got to our room and noticed that the floors had not been hoovered and the bins had not been changed but let's not that dampen our spirits we can have a look onto the pool but we stepped out to see a flat roof top with no view of the pool in site. After having a look in the very small shower room it's shows it's very outdated and needs gutting and a complete refurb is much needed as the tiles are cracked and so is the Barth / shower photos will be included. We did in fact go for the all inclusive deal witch ment you got breakfast lunch and dinner now normally it's hard to muck up food but they done a good job you do struggle to find a clean table as they don't have many staff looking after it also make contact with a table as the food after 2 minutes of leaving the buffet will in fact go cold hence the last 3 days we actually ate out with was fantastic the local restaurants were great could not fault them. If you like drinking out of plastic cups from the bar get used to it that will be ur new best friend ! Seems to me that the staff cannot understand English very well when I asked a guy behind the counter for a iron and even explained it to them he looked lost and confused tbh it was quite frustrating but if ur lucky you may find someone who does speak English. On our last day we got told we could have the room until we leave witch was late in the evening but when it came around to harf way though the day I had a nock on the door from a cleaning lady asking me to leave the room so she could clean it when I tried to explain we had it until the evening she couldn't understand me surprise surprise she didn't speak English Witch then made me go downstairs and talk to the manager and finally I found that they spoke English but that was all the help I got because she couldn't do anything and asked us to leave the room. Also when you do arrive if none of this has put you off the hotel uses the photo of the other sister hotel across the road witch is false advertising But hey you live and learn I guess I've learnt to never return to this hotel but it was a lovely break the weather was fantastic boat trips is a must and the sea is clear and warm Happy hunting !

Will try and give you an honest and fair review so you can make your choice. There are good points to this hotel and some indifferent points. The hotel is part of 3 Globales owned hotels in this locality Santa Ponsa Park / Pionero each of 4* rating, plus Hotel Playa which is a 3* probably the lowest in height [5 story] and the Cinderella of the group but we were certainly not disappointed by a long way. Its a cosmopolitan hotel with visitors from UK, Germany [many],France and Italy. The rooms were clean but certainly not very big, suitable for 2 people, 3 with a child but definitely no more. Room facilities included air conditioning, ceiling fan, decent flat screen TV with quite a number of English channels, comfortable beds, small balcony. Our balcony was street side but did have lots of sun late afternoon early evening. Biggest let down was the small bathroom, no bath instead a shower facility that a larger bodied person might find a struggle to get into plus an hair dryer. Maids cleaned the room everyday and laid out fresh towels. There was a key safe in the room but that will set you back around 42 Euro including returnable deposit. There are no fridges or tea making facilities in the rooms. There is no free WiFi in any public area except for an initial 1 hour after that you have to buy it by the number of devices you want to use and the number of days you want it for, costs will vary. Food wise I have to say pleasantly enjoyable with a good choice something for everyone including a kiddies food zone. Soft drinks, beer, water and wines are available at lunch and dinner as part of your A/I offering plus at breakfast, tea, coffee, soft drinks. If you do not want a full meal you can also use the Pizzeria across the road at the Santa Ponsa Park Hotel where you can also get burgers, hot dogs and drinks again all part of your A/I offering. Pool wise nice sizeable pool with separate kiddiewinks pool and there is a lifeguard on duty everyday. Sunlongers are placed on grass areas but I have to say it is a very laid back hotel none of this fighting, quarrelling or getting up early to place towels on sunbeds, people were far more civilised [at least when we were there] including the Geemans. Entertainment team were typical of what you get at most hotels, in the day they looked after outside activities which included astro-turf small football pitch, tennis, hand ball, squash, kids club then in the evening did a bit of entertainment of a sort but nothing to get over excited about, I think the kiddies had the most enjoyment. There was no poolside bar but to be honest the main bar was right next to the pool so it was quite easy to top your drinks up from there. There was coffee available all day then cake and biscuits in the afternoon whilst the A/I bar was open 10 am until midnight. Rooms have to be vacated by 12noon but even though we were not flying until late evening the hotel still allowed us to keep our wristbands for food and drink until we departed. One final piece of information we booked [4 of us] a private transfer through our travel company cost us 108 euro return, since found out taxi from Palma airport to Santa Ponsa is 40 euro each way.
