We returned to c'an picafort this year, not through the desire to come back to the same resort but because I found a bargain deal in half term. As a teacher a bonus was it was adults only.. and oh what a difference! The pool area was the calmest most peaceful I've ever been to. Huge pool, plenty of loungers. No need to race to put a towel out first thing. Stayed bed and breakfast, ate around 9am every day for a week, always plenty, usual kind of things. Very happy to be able to have some gluten free options also. Having a suite was lovely, having the space to get ready to go out in the evening, open all the doors and let the air through. I asked for a room high up with evening sun.. a mistake at times as it was just so hot haha! Toilets always clean even the ones by the pool. Cava and beer great prices. I wouldn't want to go back to resort again as it's fairly small having done it twice already- alcudia old town is a lovely visit though - however, if I needed a cheap break again in a school holiday and this hotel came up I would go!
I have never felt the need or desire to write a review before, but I want to tell others how fantastic this hotel actually is! The room was the typical 4* European hotel room, basic but yet very clean. We booked half board for our 5 night stay and had our room cleaned, fresh towels and bed made everyday. I have a lot of food allergies and Pepe and staff in the restaurant were very accommodating and helpful in telling me each night what dishes and desserts I could eat and those that were unsuitable due to my allergies. Each night Pepe would take me around the dishes and explain what food was suitable. I would definitely recommend this hotel. On our last night we went to a restaurant called Monaco and this was fantastic food ranging from fish and vegetarian dishes to meat kebabs, definitely a must try if you are in the area.
The staff were so attentive, nothing was to much trouble and always with a smile on their faces. Excellent breakfast, spacious clean rooms. So sad to be leaving. We had a lovely relaxing holiday. A huge thank you to all the hard working staff.
Thank you for the good service and nice stay during our one night trip. The room clean (even though the pillows could be better...), the pool area calm and beautiful, no noises! So lovely! The staff very friendly. We wish you a nice summer season, keep on smiling :)
Returned yesterday morning after a week at the Alzinar Mar Adult only hotel with 3 friends. Wonderful relaxing break with NO children. Impressive large clean swimming pool. Hotel is lovely & very clean, it has just been refurbished. Member of staff asked for our comments & I mentioned there wasn't a hairdryer in my room (I had one with me); within an hour a hairdryer was delivered. Very good food - a buffet breakfast was included in price & it was good, lots to choose from. Booked dinner twice & again lots of choice - you can look before you purchase. Had lunch in the pool bar every day with the best Sangria we tasted all holiday. Short stroll to sea front where there are lots of restaurants & shops. Plenty of sun loungers & no need to get up early & save. Only negative was the entertainment - not our taste. Excellent hotel for just chilling.
My friend and I have just returned from a short break at this hotel. It was one of the cleanest hotels that I have ever stayed in. It was spotless! The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. We stayed b&b and there was a great selection of food that catered for every one. The rooms were lovely and each have a balcony with a pool view. The hotel is beside a large supermarket which was handy and it was only a short walk from the beach and main tourist area. We would definitely return and would highly recommend. The only thing I missed was not having a kettle in the room to be able to make a coffee but we did have a mini fridge which was good to keep drinks cool. It has free wifi which was helpful. It is an adults only hotel which was great as it was very peaceful and relaxing around the pool with no children running about. We would highly rate this hotel!!!
We did a late deal and this hotel came up through thomson. Having noticed this had recently changed from a family hotel to Adults only we felt intrigued. On arrival we were greeted by the receptionist who was pleasant and welcomed us with a smile and were we aware of the "tourism tax" pointing to a sign. We were both confused as this wasn't mentioned in our booking. Anyway we said we would pay at the end of our holiday. So for anyone's info the charge is a follows. The tax is a daily levy of €2 – about £1.55 – per person. For a family of four on a holiday lasting a fortnight, this adds an extra £84 onto the holiday. However, after nine nights the tax is halved. This means that a two-week holiday is more likely to cost in the region of £70. We were given our key and was pointed to where our rooms were which was 2307 outside and passed the pool in the corner. A bit confusing to where this was but a kind bar man José showed us the way. Perhaps clear signage would have helped us but anyway once directed it was up in the lift to the 3rd floor. Into the room which was a junior room and wow it was lovely. Very clean bright and a wonderful view of the pool. The room was perfect and had a hairdryer(wife was pleased) fridge and a beautiful shower room. Good size tv with Sky news and BBC news channels but with all other channels German or Spanish. So if you want a night in with the tv brush up on your languages. A valuables safe is available in the room for a charge. The whole place is clean tidy and the week we were here was very peaceful. The hotel has a gym and this came in handy for me but please be aware some of the equipment is in disrepair and some are a bit dangerous. I have mentioned this to reception just so they are aware. Having said that the gym is free to use while you are here. There is a massage facility here but didn't use it so can't comment. We booked bed and breakfast and this is served 0745-10am. It's a Buffett style with every type of food you can think of. (BE AWARE IF YOU ARRIVE AT 1001am IT WOULD'VE BEEN CLEARED AWAY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED). From cereals to cooked foods bread etc you won't get hungry. Lunch is good too with a pool bar serving the usual burgers pizza etc. Evening meal is varied and cost €15 per person. Buffett style again and served from 6pm-9pm. A fantastic choice and you can view the food before purchasing to make sure it's for you. If you want to eat in your room the local supermarket is right next door for snacks etc. The rooms don't have kettles but ask at reception and they will provide one for you. A fridge is provided in the room. If like us you like the sun then the pool area is amazing and plenty of sun loungers which didn't need reserving lol. If you like the shade then the front of the hotel has covered loungers and a covered pool. The bar is well stocked and most nights have entertainment and the bar staff are very pleasant. The beach is a 10 minute walk and is lovely too. All in all a fantastic hotel and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. 4.5 stars from me and looking forward to rebooking soon.
We stayed here for 2 lovely weeks. The accommodation was exactly as expected and as it appears in photo's. It was clean and maids came everyday apart from Sunday, The Hotel is in easy walking distance from the beach and the supermarket is next door. There are 2 lovely swimming pools, one is fully shaded and quiet, a great place to relax. The other is huge with a smaller shallow area for little ones, there are plenty of sunbeds available and we enjoyed many days by the pool. There are plenty of poolside activities on offer throughout the day which is great for both kids and adults. There's also lots of evening entertainment. The bar staff were friendly and made great Cocktails which were all reasonable in price. All rooms overlook the pool, it was lovely starting the day with a cup of tea on the balcony. The T.V only really played German shows. The rooms were just as in the photos, a little dated in décor but clean. The maids were lovely...a real credit to the hotel. We visited in August 17 and were unaware of a festival taking place. The festival was great and there was a fireworks display down by the sea. Unfortunately part of this festival was an all night rave in the building next to the hotel. This meant one night with absolutely no sleep which wiped us out for the next day. This however is not a reflection on the Hotel but may be worth checking if this is taking place during your stay. Would definitely reccomend.
A nice Hotel but dated , swimming pool was of a good size , all rooms with balcony overlooked the pool . Air con was good . Entertainment was ok nothing special. It was 15 minute walk to the beach with a lovely promenade you can walk for miles both ways . Nice sandy beach . Food was ok . good choice for breakfast but evening meal was repetitive and cheese was rubbery ,
We arrived at the hotel at 2am one of the last to be dropped off on the coach so bear that in mind regarding transfers (Jumbo Transfers). We were disappointed with the room as quite dated. Far too much heavy dark wood furniture in the space. Not sure who did the colour coordination, orange curtains, brown covers on sofa & a few pink cushions. There was a put you up type bed in the sitting area (only me & my wife), a table & chairs, sofa, heavy chest of drawers with a flat screen television on top. This is laid out for self catering with fridge etc.We asked at reception for a kettle which they supplied. The second room - a bedroom had plenty of hanging space for your clothes with 2 single beds a heavy chest of drawers with a mirror above for the ladies. The walls were white which to me was a shame as with a bit of thought & colour change could have revitalised this 70's look room . The bathroom was an over bath shower which continually backed up so you showered standing in about 4" of water . We did ask at reception & the handyman turned up with his plunger which helped for a day & then returned to backing up .There was access to the waste but that never got cleared which showed the age of the plumbing. Plenty of hot water so a good shower. We did ask for a move but the alternative offered was worse, we may have been unlucky as the rooms on the opposite side got the sun. Air con was very noisy rather like a jet engine powering up & that was next doors as ours didnt work. The staff were very friendly and the hotel extremely clean. The hotel is located in a quiet spot with approx 10 minute walk to the seafront and night life. Breakfast was great & the dining area absolutely fine . The outside space was great, with cedar decking & lots of sun beds . Pool quite chilly but once you got past the nippy water was smashing. We stayed B&B so went out for evening meal which can be expensive along the sea front . The return journey to the airport with Jumbo transfers took 3 hours & 20 minutes as they went all over the place to pick up travellers so avoid this (Flight only just over 2 hours !!) Would I return to this hotel, very unlikely but the local area is quite appealing. Mercadonna supermarket right next door.
