Were told this hotel was in palma nova by hays travel company which I had no hesitation in booking as I love palma nova. However, this hotel was at the top of the strip.we asked for a move to another hotel and were told everywhere was fully booked.we stayed for an horrific week which we went for a chill out.kept up until morning when this was when the youngsters were coming back from a night out. Outside the hotel were prostitutes who preyed on the young boys before robbing them which we saw twice. The boys were terrified. Will never go back again and will check next time before booking to go anywhere.
We decided to stay in this hotel for a week, tempted by the distance to the beach and encouraged by the salesman.... When we got into in the middle of the night we were welcomed by a nice receptionist and really loud music from one of the clubs nearby. My first thought was 'Ok, maybe it's a party today, tomorrow will be better', oh how wrong was I.... In the room, which was on the 3rd floor, you can hear the music perfectly, because the windows couldn't handle the noise. It was a disaster. The room was very tiny, but pretty clean, although the hotel needs renovation asap. The room service do not speak a word in English which is interesting especially that the hotel is full of (mostly drunk) young English people. The meals are typically english too - not bad, but could be better, more diversified. Swimming pool is small and mostly in the shadow. All in all - for a pair it can be ok, but for families I would not recommend it. It is simply too loud.
I went here with my friends on a typical girls holiday week and loved it! The rooms were cleaned every other day, if not every day. The breakfast had a great choice and was lovely. Not a place I would go with family however great for a girls holiday, only a short walk to the main clubs yet on the other side of the hotel was Palma Nova which we visited for a nice change! Only thing I would say is more sun beds by the pool! All in all great hotel and location.
So I stayed here 3 times. Very clean hotel but small rooms. No entertainment on at nighttime but there's a bar and is only like a 2 min walk to Mulligans which is on the Magaluf strip. 5min walk to the beach and 2 min to amenities i.e.: shops and supermarkets. Pool is small and cold but perfect for a hot day!!!! Food is beautiful lots of choice. Wouldn't recommend for families as it can be noisy due to being so close to the strip but great for friends or young couples.
My friend and I was really looking forward to this well deserved holiday, only to be very disappointed with the hotel when we got there. The receptionist was very abrupt and didn't seem to be interested in our booking. There was no Thompson Rep at all during the week, not even greeting you on the bus from the airport. The restuarant staff weren't a bit friendly and as for the food, well what can I say. It was cold all the time and if you wanted it warm you had to put it in the microwave. They tell you not to drink the water, but yet in a morning at breakfast the water that was in the boiler to make tea was only warm so much so you could put your finger in it. Good job we took our own kettle as we at least could have boiling water to make our tea. I would never recommend this Hotel to anyone and would definitely not go back again. Worst Hotel we have ever spent a holiday abroad.
Me and my partner returned from Mallorca on Sunday and we stayed in this hotel on a half board basis. The hotel is very basic but clean! Air con was provided at not extra cost, the rooms are quite small but there was a lot of storage available so that made up for it, we had a balcony, the bathroom was an ok size, the shower was brilliant- very powerful! Our towels and bedding were changed everyday, the only negative things about the room was the size of the tv it was a very small/ old square tv so the picture quality/ sound wasn't great but that's not a huge deal when your abroad anyway!. The other thing was the fact you had no duvet it was just a thin sheet/ throw. The location of the hotel is fantastic- very quiet and discreet, however it is situated 2 minutes away from the centre of magaluf however you could only hear the nightlife very faintly, if you wanted to have a quieter night out there was still a fair amount of cafes/ bars in palmanova so it was nice to have the choice of the two! There is wifi at the hotel but you have to pay for it! My main gripe was the food, sometimes it was nice but other times it was greasy and they seemed to do the same sort of food most nights, especially dessert that never changed! If we had more money we would of eaten out more but considering this was a 3* hotel it was okay and I probably would stay there again, but on a bed and breakfast basis rather than half board, we only paid £622 For the both of us and it was for just over a week! So all in all can't complain too much for the price we paid!
We booked the holiday very last minute, Booked Thursday flew out on Friday. We was told the hotel was in Palma Nova... We flew out with Jet 2 they was great. We arrive at the hotel to find it was in the middle of Magaluf!! Bare in mind we had our 10 month old baby with us. The hotel was pretty empty as to be expected this time of year, our room was clean we requested a double bed and a cot... we got three single beds. The cot was brought up as soon as we questioned this, The view we has was amazing over looking the sea. The first night we was freezing, we requested to move rooms the second room given STUNK and over looked on just a bullied with loads of pipes so we decided to stay put. They provided us with more blankets so we was fine. However the lady on reception was very mardy with us requesting to move rooms and was very reluctant to help us. The food in the hotel I have got to say I am a very fussy eater but I was well impressed. Overall I wouldn't stay there again especially if your looking for a quite weekened away with the family. If your looking for a party holiday then yeah why not.
Was not expecting much but we were well impressed. Staff can't do enough for you and very helpful. Rooms not 5 star but for what we paid everything is there. Shower was brilliant, powerful and always plenty of hot water. Towels changed every day and bedding twice on our week stay. Even on last day we stayed later than check out and still had clean towels. TV in room was an old 12'' portable but had English channels, was OK, who goes to Majorca to watch TV. Food was all OK, you could always find something that was OK and was reasonable hot. All the bad reviews that this hotel has had I wonder what people expect for a 3 star hotel and the price paid. We paid £20 a day each for a clean room with a good bed, air con in room that worked and clean bedding and towels, breakfast and an evening meal. Something you wouldn't get in UK. So don't be put up with some of the reviews, the rooms overlooking pool are the best as I expect it could be noisy, the one overlooking towards the bars. Good hotel excellent staff, easy for night entertainment and easy walk to beach. Nice bar about 30 yards from hotel, serves good food as well as cheap drinks. Would definitely stay here again. Only negative comment is that WiFi has to be paid for but not a problem as all the bars have WiFi.
Having read the reviews I was really sceptical before arriving but as we needed somewhere at short notice we booked anyway. I was pleasantly surprised! The staff are great, rooms basic but very clean. The breakfast buffet was good. Pool area was clean and pleasant. Would definitely stay again, for the price you can't go wrong
stayed for one week 18th to 25th September. Stayed on 6th floor facing the street with view of Palma Nova Bay. The Hotel was pleasantly quiet ,no stag or hen groups and mostly couples. There was a good mixture of nationalities spanish/ russian/dutch /belgian. There is no all inclusive option . There were no large family groups. The pool area was clean with plenty of sunbeds tables chairs and parasols. It is also a short walk to the Palma Nova Beach. There is no entertainment and perhaps because it is not all inclusive the bar and lounge were usually deserted. There are numerous sports and music bars nearby that charge very fair prices. The elevators worked and queues only formed at meal times. We were satisfied with the accommodation which although a bit small had plenty of drawers/storage. Bathroom was clean/tidy. We were not entirely satisfied with the restaurant. The food was varied with a choice of two fish courses and two meat dishes every evening plus soup and a varied cold buffet. What did disappoint us was the temperature at which the food was served. Both drinks dispensers for tea and coffee needed servicing........ one dispensed luke warm tea and coffee and the other was very temperamental and missed shots of the ordered beverage although the water came out hot.. Breakfast cooked items were cold and not kept on a heated range and the plates were also cold. The evening dinner did not seem quite as cold for some reason . The cook had obviously gone to some trouble to provide good food but the range for dispensing it is not working properly. On the periphery of the noisy strip but with the balcony doors shut we did not hear a lot. There was no noise from within the hotel.
