I read reviews on this before I left England ,It's really non existing it's 28 dg up to 34 dgrs so very hot no breeze I brought a 9 inch fan with me and my god are we made up I highly recommend any one coming do the same ,The hotel good food OK as are the staff ,clean aswell ,There is also a lot of teenagers so I woudnt say child friendly really ,I may have considered a higher rating but sadly I can't ,and we woudnt return .
Just over 10 minute transfer from airport. The hotel was lovely, up to date decor, all staff pleasant and friendly towards us. The food was of good quality, plenty of choice and it was hot ( unlike some comment read on here) Drink was good too. The pool was small and shaded and was difficult to get a sunbed as the hotel was full of roudy youngsters who over took the pool area. At night time they just ran the corridors shouting and banging doors. We actually paid for all inclusive but went to the beach during the day to be away from the rowdiness so actually wasted our money. . This hotel also appears to be on a 'RUN' where all the youngsters meet and march down the street in their hundreds to the next bar, so don't expect to much sleep. Would love this to be more positive as the staff were very nice and hard working and the hotel was modern and clean. Would I return... sorry no 😟 But only because of the noisy teenagers
We are staying here at the time of writing this review. Booked this hotel after staying at an azuline hotel in Ibiza a couple of years ago. Which we really enjoyed. But we are very disappointed with this hotel. There are Spanish teenagers that just run amok till the early hours shouting singing banging doors ect! No regard for other holiday makers. The mess they leave round the pool area I dread to think what the rooms are like! The air conditioning is practically non existent. The food is only average or below. And we usually eat anything. Good points Our room has a good view over the pool and out to sea. Alcoholic and soft drinks are ok The hotel is clean and the staff work very hard 10 minutes from the airport in taxi If you aren't bothered about sleeping at night, and you don't want air conditioning in your room and food quality doesn't bother you then give it a go. But we will not be returning.
BE WARNED! Do not go to this hotel its full of students who will keep you up all night long, partying in the pool leaving a mess everywhere it is the worst hotel ever! This hotel is a student accommodation business! We arrived on the 17th of June to the hotel and left today (Saturday) early this morning Saturday 23rd and it could not have come sooner! At meal times the students push their way in front of you, they don't even wait to be seated before eating their food whilst walking! We saw them handing the meal cards to their mates who were not staying in the hotel to eat there. They take all the food and drink and leave a huge mess and none for others. I had to get up numerous times during the night to tell them to keep quiet as they were singing in the corridors and throwing footballs to each other at 3 am in the morning! The students were also staying all inclusive and were bring their friends around to their rooms and taking up free drinks for them! We complained to reception, very little care. Very bad management - asked to speak to the manager who was not available at the time never even attempted to speak to us after we and other guests complained. In fact we never saw any managers there! One lovely evening we were sat out by the bar thinking what a lovely evening it was, next thing, the singing and screaming started and just got louder. It actually seemed before we returned back to the UK that there was huge animosity between the "guests" and the students, not a very relaxing place and we only managed to survive the holiday, by going on excursions and getting away from it all One evening we were sitting on the terrace by the bar watching the evening entertainment we thought how nice it was to see small children laughing and dancing - next thing one of the students throw out from their balcony a plastic cup full of wee!!! Generally it appeared that the "normal" guests had to avoid the swimming pool and other entertainment areas as they just took over! WE COULD NOT WAIT TO GET OUR FLIGHT HOME - WE WERE UNCOMFORTABLE AND GOT NO SLEEP DURING OUR STAY!!! On a positive note the staff in general were friendly, the evening entertainment was excellent, but honestly with the amount of hotels to choose from do not go here! I took the time to write this as soon as we got back as we actually felt sorry for families still there!
Lovely hotel ..can't fault the food and drink very clean perfectly placed for beach and shops rooms were lovely ,but not for families or if you want to have sleep.... got to hotel on the 13th of June hotel full of teenage kids slamming doors knocking on doors shouting singing if you can call it singing till 3 o'clock in the morning got worse when it got to weekend shattered, we were on six floor they were a nightmare, would go back if it wasn't for all the noise not only me complained about noise others said the same thank god they stayed in bed during the day, arenal is lovely... would have given a higher rating but people need to be aware that it's full of teenagers some were running down corridors starkers....
Hotel is clean staff are pleasant and the food is good and varied the entertainment was good and there is a courtesy bus to take you down to the beach so could not fault the hotel which is excellent value for money. The downside is that it is in area where there is not much else around the hotel and the resort seems to be popular with young groups of Germans and Spanish who were loud and there was even signs of vandalism litter lying about even though there were plenty of litter bins available.
Four of us went to this hotel at the start of June as part of a silver wedding anniversary. We were all very impressed ..We booked in early after a very pleasant 10 min drive via taxi from the airport(approx 20 euros). If you are waiting for a taxi at the airport to your resort, dont be put off by a long queue.Their are plenty of taxis and the queue goes down quickly. The reception staff were very pleasant and told us that our room was ready, which was a nice surprise. The rooms are clean and comfortable with air con.The food was very good and varied at each meal.Plenty of chicken, pork, fish, bacon ,egg, sausage etc with good wine and beer on tap.The hotel is a 10 min walk from the centre of Arenal so just far enough away from nightlife. But plenty of bars and resturants if you do fancy a walk.If you have kids then the massive water park is a 5-10 min walk the other way.The night entertainment is good without being too loud or intrusive. The bar service is very good, but like other all inclusive hotels youve got to pay for the premium brands.Arenal is a German dominated resort and if you want to see how they party, have a walk along the seafront to the Megapark. Its the Spanish version of a german bierkeller. Its enormous and very noisy(no thank you) .Would we stop at this hotel again. Most definitly yes .We are already looking at a booking for next June!!
Stayed as a couple, 10 nights , checked out June 15th. Bad start to holiday as Jet2 flight delayed just over an hour...no obvious reason why as they had us all loaded on time and just had to wait 70 minutes to taxi down to runway.Arrived in Palma to torrential rain and black skies (11am) The advertised 20 minute transfer by coach took two hours....a taxi would've cost €20 so a lesson learned there. First impression of hotel was good. Given a room on third floor above the reception area which is where the ferel chickens, rooster and cats live. The rooster is very vocal from about 4:45am but not as vocal as the 8 mancunians who were in the ajoining rooms to mine.Screaming, swearing , slamming doors and generally anti-social behaviour 'till 4am...a great advert for Brits abroad.Jet2 sold me this hotel as family orientated but the reality is that many guests were there as stag/hen/birthday parties or groups of Germans there for the Mega Park beer festival.I don't blame the hotel for filling the rooms however they can but Jet2 need to be more honest and accurate. Day 2 and the reception staff could not have been more understanding or helpful. After a brief conversation we were shown two alternative rooms and accepted one on 1st floor overlooking the pool....much happier now although I still had to endure a gang of screaming young women at 230 am running down the corridors and generally being a nuisance. Anyway, decided to crack on and enjoy the holiday and so to the good points: AI food was ok, not too bad at all except for maybe 1 day when the hotel was full to capacity.Drinks as standard...gassy San Miguel and cheap local spirits ... it is what it is , I guess. Hotel reasonably clean and staff were nice and friendly. The location is poor but the resort in general is not for me.It reminded me of Marmaris...tacky and run down....the seaside town they forgot to close down as Morrisey might say ! There is a very steep descent from the hotel to the beach area.Climbing back up it in 38 degree heat is not for the feint hearted although a courtesy mini bus is available. Never saw the Jet2 rep once during the whole of our stay.Nor have I ever flown with an airline where you have to load and unload your own cases onto the transfer coaches. It wasn't advertised as a budget holiday but it felt like one. Entertainment was varied with a couple of acts we have seen before atThompson Gold Hotels (Elon the Soul Man and Priscilla, queens of the desert are very good) but the hotel's own animation team are just a group of young people having a bit of a jolly up instead of working for a living. They put on a quiz night that manages to makes Number Wang look sensible ! Not even the highlight of an English woman shouting out "32,000 feet" to the question how high is Mount Everest could rescue it's drabness. Worst aspect of hotel is how they allow the animation team to host a daily water polo match. There is only one pool and it's pretty small. I witnessed young families having to move their children and old folk having to dive for cover as volley balls reigned down on them as they lay on sun loungers or sat around the pool. The game would go on for as long as they deemed fit and it totally disturbed the ambience around the pool.I saw a table full of drinks up-ended and sent flying all over a sleeping toddler in her push chair, soaking the child and her parent's i-pad in the process. The hotel wants to appeal to too many markets at the same time but the mix just doesn't work. It is ok and just about 3 star.Aircon did not work and other guests voiced the same concerns. We did enjoy the holiday , met some lovely people and I have certainly stayed in worse but Arenal is not the kind of resort I associate with the beautiful island of Majorca and so, sadly, would not return to this hotel.Out of ten, I'd give it a seven.
Have just arrived home after a weeks stay @ this hotel. The hotel cannot be faulted on it's cleanliness, as it is kept really clean. The staff are very helpful & courteous, specially the reception staff & bar staff. What was disappointing is the food, always cold & unappealing, breakfast was passable, but we ate out most nights after paying for all inclusive!!!. Also children were allowed to
We stayed for 4 days as a short break near Palma airport. 3 star hotel, very clean and 10 - 15 min walk to the beach. We went half board all buffet style. Breakfast was adequate with cooked food available. Dinner was varied and included free wine, beer etc. Only downside was the noise around the pool with thump thump music in the afternoon. Seemed perfect for teenagers as our stay coincided with large numbers of Spanish youngsters from the mainland and young German tourists who had taken over Arenal. We enjoyed our brief stay but we won't be returning as we prefer quieter resorts.
