My family returned early hours of this morning from our holiday. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel, the rooms where kept very clean but one tip is to place your please clean me tag on the outside of your door handle or the cleaners may miss your room. Every single member of the staff in the hotel where excellent and very helpful except from the miserable young dark haired good looking guy who take a turns at working at the snack bar heating up hotdogs and toasties etc,for some reason the whole week anytime he came out to heat up food he acted as though me or my mother etc etc had just crapped in his face! The good in the hotel is not very good for people from the UK.. I like fish but almost everything was fish and very repetitive, sometimes the only thing that I could eat was chips and pizza..im not fond of chips or pizza. The pool area and pool bar where excellent. Lifeguard on duty and small pool was fun for the kids. Toni and Israel at the pool bar where great and always smiling. The kids club was good but didn't start until 9pm and never lasted long.. 9.30 one night maybe 9.45 if your lucky but the animation team where great with the kids who all loved them and joined in with thier dances on the stage. I would recommend this hotel if you get a good deal, the only problem as I say is the breakfast and dinner but you cab get by. We never found the hill to the beach to be a problem like some reviews claim it is. We had two prams to push up them and none of us are spring chickens so don't let that put you off, If you follow the signs to the beach at the bottom of the hill the beach you come to is beautiful. There's a British sports bar along the main front if you take the right along the main street at the bottom of the hill which is ran by folk from Liverpool who where really friendly and kind people. We enjoyed watching the Glasgow celtic match while we where there plus the man u match etc etc was on in there. Oh and I almost forgot to say that the hotel is a short walk from Mallorcas biggest water park aqualand which is a bonus as we all spent a day at the park and loved it (both big and small kids lol)
Arrived nearly 3 hours later than expected due to delayed flight, check in nice and quick safe is a ten euro deposit and then 3 euros per day, the tourism tax was 18.80 for our 10 night stay, they keep the restaurant open for late arrivals with food and drink available which was appreciated. Room 428 was very nice and modern, balcony gets the sun in the morning, air con not good unless you were standing more or less under it and only works when balcony doors were closed, we asked for a second card for the room and left it in the slot hoping that when we returned the room might be cooler but when we returned the key had been removed. The housekeepers start early we had a knock on the door at 2 minutes to 9 1 morning 😕. Food was good always something there to eat, at breakfast there is a chef cooking fresh fried eggs, pancakes and omelettes, the English sausages not good. Lunch and evening meals were good although it could have been hotter. The water park is located literally a maximum of 10 mins walk from the hotel, turn right from the hotel entrance walk to the end of the street then turn left and you will see it on the other side of the road it is 28 Euro per adult. The hotel pool as previous reviews state does not see sun till midday the pool bar opens at 10. Although we didn't have children with us we did notice a lack of kids entertainment just a few songs for them to dance too, there is some sort of entertainment each evening we did enjoy the singer they had there on Sunday evening. Special thanks to Israel on the bar always greeted you with a smile ....... I know how hard this can be sometimes as I also work in the hotel industry. We ventured out every day down the steep hill to the beach and went out a few times food an evening meal, we did notice that this is very German oriented strip we found 1 English sports bar and asked if there were any others and was told just 1 other. Would I return ...... probably not only due to the location.
Just returned after a lovely stay at Bahamas. Due to Easyjet delaying our flight by almost 15 hours, our room was kept available for us. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Everywhere was really clean, the food was good with plenty of choices and the cleaning staff very helpful. The only downside was the air conditioning which was situated just inside the door and only effective if we were within a few feet of it. As there were three of us, the person on the extra bed did not benefit from it at all. Apart from this, we enjoyed our stay (we were here last year too) and our granddaughter who was with us really enjoyed the pool.
24/7 - 4/8/17 The hotel is very clean with a modern feel and is situated on the outskirts of Arenal but only 10mins to the fabulous beach The bedrooms are modern and bright abeght a little small, with a decent sized bathroom. Ac isn't the best The staff are great, friendly, courteous and helpful, and our welcome from Andrea was wonderful. As we have stayed in Azuline hotels previously we were expecting much of the same, a good family hotel unfortunately this didn't quite materialise. The hotel caters for all, families, couples, elderly couples and groups of young adults. We found this to our detriment as we were kept awake by partying in rooms and in the corridor all night for our first 3 nights, this was resolved after a bit of reasoning and was fine after that. The pool area is very good but again on the small size with not enough space for all the guests. There wasn't a kids club which surprised us or any entertainment for the children during the day but the pool is taken over by adults for waterpolo, basketball and aqua aerobics with accompanying adult music with adult lyrics!! Not really for suitable for children trying to play in the pool. and on an evening there was an occasional mini disco, half an hour tops even though there were quite a few families staying. They had to make their own entertainment nothing wrong with that but Not what I was expecting The adults evening entertainment was very very good I may add though. The food was excellent, with various theme nights, Mexican, Chinese, Italian also fresh salmon, roast beef, palma ham and a good salad bar, the snack bar was also very good. We had a great holiday despite the negatives, met some great people but I wouldn't call this hotel a true Azuline family hotel. I would return but as a couple, or with friends not as a family. Oh a small tip take advantage of the aquapark it's really good and only 5min walk. The hotel reception do a week's pass for the price of a day visit!!!!!!! The best thing there Brilliant.
We stayed 29th July - 8th August 2017. The weather was crazy hot, in the 40's every day. Pros... The Hotel is immaculately clean, rooms, and public areas. Food is good. Only comments, breakfast, the English sausages and the bacon are awful, lunch and dinner, the soups are tasteless. Other than that there is something for everybody. Bed was very comfortable. The hotel is on the outskirts of El Arenal, so we never heard any noise in the night apart from some idiots in the hotel on the first night. Staff are polite and friendly, and regardless of what other posts have said about Tony behind the bar being miserable, I got on with him fine, and we had a chat and laugh most days. Mention to the other guys as well, never anything other than happy and smiling. Both the Pool bar and main bar were good, never a problem getting a drink, maybe a little queue occasionally. Entertainment was hit and miss. Three nights were excellent, solo guitarist (forgotten his name, sorry), African acrobatic act, and Brazilian dance act. Other nights a bit rubbish to be honest. Free Wi-fi in reception area works well, but don't pay for it, see below. Cons... The Air Conditioning is awful, bordering on non-existent. We had the 'technician' visit our room twice in the first two days, to be told there was nothing wrong with it, it was blowing air out at 19 degrees. This is true. But it blew it a distance of about one metre. After this, it had no effect at all. He told us that the balcony door needed to be shut for it to operate, which we already knew, and we told him, we're not stupid, We also had it on all day, using a second key card in the switch, but quite honestly it made no difference. DREADFUL, especially when the temperature rarely dropped below 30 degrees. Our Jet2 rep supposedly asked for a fan for us, but this never materialised. Two days before we checked out, I found one in the corridor and asked the room cleaners if I could have it. So they are well aware there are problems with the Air Con. It really needs sorting, just not good enough. My wife slept with wet towels over her. Wouldn't bother paying for a superior room, it appears the only difference is a fridge. There were three of us, room is too small for three beds. Swing and Cat come to mind. Balcony very samll, two plastic chairs, no table. For the first week, the pool area was fine, and you could get a bed quite easily. After this, no idea why, once the pool area opened at 8am, there was the charge of the light brigade with everyone racing to put towels on beds. There were not enough beds to go around, pool area is quite restricted. We never partook of this race, so consequently spend most days on the upstairs terrace. Pool got VERY busy, it's not big. Bar shuts on the dot of 11pm. Not totally a bad thing, stops all the idiots drinking too much I suppose, but if they are that way inclined, they are already drunk by that time, so makes no difference. We paid for wi-fi, 20 Euros for a week. But coverage in our room was pathetic, maybe because we were on the top floor, but they shouldn't be charging for it, I presume they know it's an issue for those rooms. Safe costs 3 euros a day, with a 10 euro deposit. But unlike anywhere else I have stayed, it is a key based safe, not one where you set your own number when closing. This means you have to take the key with you everywhere. Overall, it was an OK hotel. Would I return...no. But that's soley because of the Air Con, the rest I could put up with. Other points, nothing to do with the hotel, just general information. Both us and some friends we made, booked different trips via Jet2. We were supposed to be picked up at 8.30, by 9.30 the coach had still not arrived (many, many other coaches had picked other day trippers up). These friends, on a different trip had the same issue, an hour late. We ended up getting our money back and booking via a shop in town, which was excellent and arrived on time. Although this hotel had a mix of nationalities, El Arenal itself is very Germanic and very, very busy. But I have to say, the whole island was the same. So unless you like to be in a crowd, Majorca is not the place for you in peak season. We tried, with no luck, to find a quiet beach. There doesn't appear to be any such thing. And the airport when we arrived, was like wembley stadium when the cup final was one. I have never seen so many people trying to queue to get through passport control. Evidently it made the news in the UK! Very strange airport.
Bahamas is a great hotel! please see my pros and cons below: Pros Hotel rooms were very clean food service was lovely, sometimes the food was bland (Lovely selection of wines and Sangria) Great facilities, Sauna, Jacuzzi pool at no extra cost (AMAZING) Receptionist were all lovely! very helpful Cons Pressure of the AC (also one night it had a sewage smell coming from it) Cleaners do not change your bed sheet it's more of a quick sweep and change towels Dinner time was quite late 7:30-9:30pm, I guess this could be too late for families.
My mother, Son and I had a brilliant holiday at the azuline Bahamas. We stayed for 10 nights and enjoyed every minute. The food accomodation and pool area were better that I had expected as I was on a budget when booking so that was a pleasant surprise. The food was as to be expected when catering for large amounts of people with an option for most and always fresh fruit vegetables and salad. The rooms were clean and staff lovely. Would recommend this hotel to family's as is exactly what is says on the tin!!!
Unfortunately this hotel is more suited for young groups than families. The Hotel itself is lovley the food is nice and the staff are very helpful, also through the day it's a nice relaxing place to be, however the entertainment for the kids is non existent half an hour a night if your lucky, but us a family can make are our own entertainment and we also all enjoy the main entertainment at night so that wasn't too bad. The main thing that spoilied it for us was the young groups up at 1am loud music through to 7am some nights not good if you have babies ;(. I don't think that we would make a return visit for this this reason.
Just came back from staying in this hotel last Friday morning; clean place with lovely staff except one grumpy man Tony working at the bar. It looks bigger at the pictures than it is in real which was disappointing. The pool is small and sun doesn't come there before 13;00 so we didn't stay nearby at all. We didn’t have fridge in our room and air-condition wasn’t working properly... ((( Food wasn't that nice but we had to eat something so ... sorry but won't be recommending
Just got back from this hotel after an 8 night break. Myself my hubby and 17 year old daughter shared one room and my son and his friend who's 18 had their own apartment. It was far too cramped in the room for 3 adults. The air con was not very efficient at all which didn't help but rooms were very clean. We sunbathed on the terrace each day which we thought was nicer and sunbeds there more comfy. I must say I will not miss the pool music which was the same couple of CDs constantly. Drove us nuts!! Entertainment was ok but would have just been better having bit of karaoke I think. And there was nothing on the Saturday night at all which I thought odd in high season. We were AI and food was adequate but certainly not exciting. And food lukewarm. Hotel staff friendly. I would not stay in this resort again though as El Arenal itself was groggy and run down. Lots of graffiti and not clean. Needs some money spent on it really. Nicer places in Majorca to stay!
