Just got back today from a week stay at alcudia garden aparthotel, fantastic location close to everything and opposite the ting ting train stop if you fancy a trip to the otherside of alcudia! Surrounded by endless shops and restaurants! Fantastic pool which is great for children. Entertainment not so good! If you are English, this hotel caters mainly for Germans, a slightly disappointed son who could not understand a word of what the entertainers were saying!!! Also a massive sunbed issue! Would seem other residents put towels out during the middle of the night! So no one else gets a look in, something needs to be done about this! Not one day during our weeks stay did we get to use a sunbed! ... maybe allocating a couple of sunbeds to each room would be an idea alcudia garden??,Lots of breakfast choice but felt like I was in a school canteen with all the pushing and shoving in the restaurant!! All in all a nice time alcudia is beautiful but won't be staying here again.
I would recommend this aparthotel for a family holiday....great for kids, lovely pools, evening entertainment. Dining experience not so good though.... buffet style breakfast and it's a mad scramble every morning.!!! Best to go room only and eat out in the hundreds of cafes, restaurants and bars very close by. Fabulous beach within 200 yards and shopping area also within 200 yards. Rooms are spacious with good facilities and cleaned every day - except Tues and Sunday. Hotel staff excellent and very customer focussed.... All in all a very pleasant stay... despite being very hot ...circa 40 degrees C !!! but it was August in Spain... so to be expected.
The are two good things about this hotel. The location and the choices you have at the breakfast buffet. The rest however could be a lot better. For starters you might as well sleep on the floor, that's how stiff the beds are. Then I wonder why on earth you charge €18 to get the key to safe. I get it if they had a deposition cost, if the key got lost, but charging you that money doesn't reflect anything that I associate with a three star hotel, it brings the thought to a hostel. The same thing with soap and shampoo. You get a first a couple of small bottles of each but when they are empty you have to buy new ones in the reception, again is this a hotel or hostel! Another thing that surprised me and my wife was that there's no cleaning of the rooms on Sundays and Thursdays, hotel or hostel? This is a budget "hotel" for families with kids something that also reflects at the pool area, lots of children having fun. If you're looking for peace and quiet choose another hotel. Something we would have done if we hadn't booked three days before arrival, this was all that was left at short notice.
Hotel beautiful and room immaculate. Location excellent for beach access (2 minutes walk) Pool was so cold that my daughter refused to go in it all holiday after the first day. Large pool was downright dangerous; I'm a decent swimmer but the whole pool was steeply sloped and even I lost my footing. Night entertainment only suitable for German guests.
First family holiday since the arrival of our 1yr daughter. Decided to go for an all inclusive holiday in a family orientated resort - Alcudia. The positives: - Excellent quality and choice of food. - Apartment rooms ideal for a family. - Very friendly and helpful staff. - Good quality entertainment for a 3 star. - The pool area is ideal for families. The areas for improvement: - The mosquitos, although i only had one bite there are quite a number of mosquitos around the place. Especially in the communal areas and the eating area. I feel the hotel could do a lot more to combat this. - Extra costs for towels for the week for the pool (7 euros per week), the safe is extra (18 euros) & a travel cot was also additional cost (around 25 euros per week). A lot of these could of been incorporated in the total upfront cost to remove the disappointment of having to pay additional for these. - The drink selection could of been a bit more vast as part of the all inclusive. Overall a very good value hotel which is reflects the official 3 star rating. The food especially is worthy of 4 stars and i would also say the entertainment is above a normal 3 star stay. I would recommend the hotel to others with the only the caveat being the mosquitos...
Where do I start? Just got back today - 22/05/17- miss it already! Apartments in a fantastic location- right on top of the beach & shops & the harbour where the best restaurants are! The hotel is so clean. Its immaculate. Our apartment was freshly painted and decorated, the furniture was nice, the whole place felt fresh and modern. The staff were really friendly, they helped me move rooms when I asked for one closer to the (only) elevator. They even helped me out when I got a parking ticket from the police ( don't park on the yellow zigzags what ever you do €200) I can't comment on the food as we went self catering and ate out for breakfast lunch and dinner. The food in the port / harbour is spectacular. The pool is amazing. AMAZING. The entertainment was great. The only thing we did have an issue with - which is no fault of the hotels - I'm only mentioning it because it's never happened to us before in Majorca- and I expect it's because of the beautiful gardens in the hotel grounds... we had an issue with mosquitos. And my children and their dad got bitten around 70 times between them. We didn't use any repellent either so- it's our fault - but I think they love the flowers at the hotel . They never bit me, but I've heard they prefer to chow down on a specific blood type. All in all an amazing stay at a beautiful clean and brilliantly located hotel. Will definitely return! :)
We traveled as a group of 4 adults We had a double room in Block 3 which was near the staircase (quite noisy during the night due to arrivals and departures with suitcases trundling down the very long corridor) that being said the room was very clean bed very comfortable nice bathroom. Meals were good plenty of choice and the staff everywhere were very pleasant and helpful. One thing I have to mention is we traveled with our niece and her husband and she needed an adapted room to accommodate her wheelchair. Please be aware that although there was a roll in shower there are no anti slip floor tiles this proved to be quite dangerous when transferring from wheelchair to shower chair. which incidentally is not provided. You are expected to hire one at some considerable cost. Also the washbasin was too high for a person in a wheelchair to use Bearing in mind that the adapted room cost £600. more than a normal room for one week half board we felt this was a bit much!!!!! We were also charged 18 euros for a safe key x 2 which we thought was a refundable sum on the key which has always been the case in other hotels we have stayed in. Not so!!! no refund given. Would we stay here again? Probably not
Hotel really clean.....apartments very nice although they look a little tired and in need of a spruce up......food quite repetitve for myself being gluten free but was always something to eat......my only criticism would be that i think could be a selection of cereals on offer at breakfast
At first I was offered a apartment in block 9 was nice and clean but too far from reception/ restaurant ..the staff was more than happy to accommodate us next day in hotel right above the dining place ...food is lovely lots of vegetarian choices/ lots of fruits... the beach is right opposite ... overall I had a lovely stay and i would book it again
I visited this hotel with my teenage family earlier this month and we were all delighted. It is extremely handy for the beach... a mere 3 minutes walk, although there is a great pool in the complex. The shops and restaurants are also very close by. We were all inclusive and the food was so good that I gained 1/2 stone whilst there !! The choice and quality was fantastic. The staff were extremely helpful. I couldn't fault it. I would highly recommend this Aparthotel to anyone .
