We arrived in Port d'Alcudia on Sunday to a stay booked in to a different apartment. By Monday we had decided we couldn't stay there. A quick internet search revealed room at Alcudia Garden. We drove round to enquire directly at reception - by this time about 1900hrs - and explained our concerns with our current accommodation. Reception staff were so helpful and understanding. They allowed us to view a room before we paid. Even though it was evening and no doubt less staff available, while we went back to pack up our original apartment they readied our room to a high standard before our return. (The room was not prepared as it was not expected to be occupied that day). I was impressed with their efficiency, helpfulness and empathy. The aparthotel itself has recently been refurbished to a very good standard. The room was clean and beds comfy. The kitchenette would have benefited from a kettle and perhaps a better selection of plates. I appreciate they wish to encourage use of their catering facilities but it is an aparthotel so it should be possible to create a meal for 4 where you all have dinner plates, not having to use side plates or bowls. We could not all have eaten breakfast cereal at the same time! Since we had already bought our weekly shop before deciding to leave our previous accommodation it would have been a waste not to use what we had, and so the kitchen equipment was quite important to us. The pool looks lovely but it being February we didn't use it. The indoor pool was rather cold and not big enough to swim to warm up, therefore wasn't used. The bar area was cosy and warm, bar staff very friendly and drinks reasonably priced (cocktails €4.90). The hotel is perfectly located 2 mins from the beach, shops and restaurants. All in all this is somewhere I would happily stay again in winter / spring. I suspect in summer it will be absolutely rammed and noisy, but at this time of year it's perfect.
This aparthotel is pretty worn out but still may be a good option even for travellers used with higher standards. The furniture is pretty worn out and the amenities are rather basic but the hotel is still ok. The location is great, lot of places to eat just round the corner. The swimming pools are clean. The Beach is within minutes walking but in the high season is awfully crowded.
Booked this hotel for 1 night during my tour of the 4 islands. Check-in was slow and painful as the lady got lost in translation. No assistance was offered to carry bags through the garden and up to the first floor. Upon entering the room, there was a horrible smell from the drainage of the shower. Room has a small kitchen with equipment from a museum. I decided to eat somewhere else, so I can't commend on the food in the restaurant. The noise level during the night is just not acceptable. Worst sleep in months. The typical package deal hotel for people with low expectations.
We stayed here recently for a week and it is a lovely, clean and quiet hotel. We had a room overlooking a street that was self-catering and it was clean and tidy and no traffic noise. The pool is large and there were enough sun loungers for everyone who stays there. The entertainment was on every night, some was good and some not so much but the children really enjoyed the activities in the day. It is in a great location opposite the sandy beach and not far from bars and restaurants. The restaurant linked to the hotel had tasty food too. I would stay here again!
This is a apartment hotel across a street next to the big Alcudia Garden but customers can use amenities at Alcudia Garden. The noiselevel from inside the hotel and from the street is high. Not easy to have a quiet time. I am not kidding or exaggerating when I say that you need earplugs when eating in the main dining room at Alcudia Garden by the reception.
This was my 11 th visit to alcudia garden , I love it, the staff are lovely and kind. Location is excellent , rooms clean , and the cleaning ladies are excellent. Pool is so clean. My dream place . Lots to do , harbour walking distance, lots of supermarkets, great places to eat. Luna burger great for take always, pizza place opposite is very good. Loads sun loungers, I'd say mostly German people at the hotel. Inside pool and gym too.
Just got back from a week at the alcudia garden with my husband and two children. Great location 2 mins from the beach, staff fantastic, food was lovely and I've got fussy children they catered for all. Always got a sun bed round the pool, never had to get up early and fight for one like some people say you have to and that's a first especially in August, the only down side would be the room we was in it looked like the door had been kicked in, the door frame was hanging off and the bottom of the door had come off leaving very sharp nails pointing out, coat hangers in wardrobe where thick with dust and under the bed was lots of black hairs. The walls where very thin and you could hear very clearly what people where talking about very annoying when late at night and need to get to sleep. Apart from those couple of points overall I was very impressed and would return again but in a different room.
Just got back today from a week stay at alcudia garden aparthotel, fantastic location close to everything and opposite the ting ting train stop if you fancy a trip to the otherside of alcudia! Surrounded by endless shops and restaurants! Fantastic pool which is great for children. Entertainment not so good! If you are English, this hotel caters mainly for Germans, a slightly disappointed son who could not understand a word of what the entertainers were saying!!! Also a massive sunbed issue! Would seem other residents put towels out during the middle of the night! So no one else gets a look in, something needs to be done about this! Not one day during our weeks stay did we get to use a sunbed! ... maybe allocating a couple of sunbeds to each room would be an idea alcudia garden??,Lots of breakfast choice but felt like I was in a school canteen with all the pushing and shoving in the restaurant!! All in all a nice time alcudia is beautiful but won't be staying here again.
I would recommend this aparthotel for a family holiday....great for kids, lovely pools, evening entertainment. Dining experience not so good though.... buffet style breakfast and it's a mad scramble every morning.!!! Best to go room only and eat out in the hundreds of cafes, restaurants and bars very close by. Fabulous beach within 200 yards and shopping area also within 200 yards. Rooms are spacious with good facilities and cleaned every day - except Tues and Sunday. Hotel staff excellent and very customer focussed.... All in all a very pleasant stay... despite being very hot ...circa 40 degrees C !!! but it was August in Spain... so to be expected.
The are two good things about this hotel. The location and the choices you have at the breakfast buffet. The rest however could be a lot better. For starters you might as well sleep on the floor, that's how stiff the beds are. Then I wonder why on earth you charge €18 to get the key to safe. I get it if they had a deposition cost, if the key got lost, but charging you that money doesn't reflect anything that I associate with a three star hotel, it brings the thought to a hostel. The same thing with soap and shampoo. You get a first a couple of small bottles of each but when they are empty you have to buy new ones in the reception, again is this a hotel or hostel! Another thing that surprised me and my wife was that there's no cleaning of the rooms on Sundays and Thursdays, hotel or hostel? This is a budget "hotel" for families with kids something that also reflects at the pool area, lots of children having fun. If you're looking for peace and quiet choose another hotel. Something we would have done if we hadn't booked three days before arrival, this was all that was left at short notice.
