Staff was very nice, but the room was full of problems. Biggest one? The temperature!! They changed me to a room on the courtyard so I could open the window - it was SO HOT in there, as their air conditioning doesn't start working until later in the season... I didn't sleep for two nights. Bathtub drain didn't work, and the toilet sit was broken. I am frequently in Madrid, and I think there are better bargains out there.... the personnel was friendly and tried to be helpful, I must admit.
It was a great experience. Great room and service. It is in a fantastic area of the city, close in proximity to all the major hotspots in Madrid.
Front desk personal spoke English and was very helpful.
Staff was very nice and accommodating. Room was a bit small but did it for us.
Good , staff were helpful. Location was perfect, within walking distance from downtown.
Was there 3 nights, the hotel was great; staff extremely friendly and helpful. We walked everywhere, no taxis needed, only one was the 30 euros for taxi for hotel from airport. Walk: 7 minutes to Plaza Mayor, 10 minutes to Madrid Puerta de Atocha Renfe station. 10-15 minutes to all museums, Parque del Retiro, botanical garden. Tapas restaurants and cafeteria/cerverzerias all over the place so eat and drink to your hearts content!! Great for traveling solo too!
Arrived at the hotel after a red eye flight for an international meeting. Great experience with flexibility in my early arrival. I might've just been lucky, but I appreciated their service.
This hotel has a very convenient location! Staff was nice and helpful.
The hotel was great. Nicely located at walking distance from all Madrid's top attractions and we saw them all. As we traveled with our two teenage children breakfast was rather important and the hotel provided us with quite a replenishing selection of palatable items for breakfast. The staff was friendly and willing to assist with directions. Parking was not provided by the hotel but we found one across the street which charged us 24 euros per day. We would most definitely come back to this hotel next time.
This was part of a multi-city trip to Spain. The hotel location was very good - easily accessible to the Atocha train station and the Madrid metro from which you can get to the airport and all over the city. The hotel was attractive, clean and had a nice breakfast. Only negative comment is that, like all the other hotels we stayed in in Spain (some not as nice as this one), they should provide easier, no charge (at least for a minimum time period) internet access to enable guests to easily do their own flight check in or quickly check emails.
Great location! There is a Metro located at a few meters from the hotel door. The hotel is at a walking distance to the museum of El Prado, the Renfe system, and the Plaza Mayor. Also, the breakfast has everything for everybody.
Very close to Prado and a Plaza that had some great bars and restaurants for dinner! A long walk from other areas such as Plaza Mayor or Placio Real though.
No wireless. Extra charge for cable.
walk to everything, plaza del sol , plaza mayor, museums, parks
Good hotel. Good location for Prado, Reina Sofia, Train station (Atocha)
Excellent location to visit the museums and the Royal Palace.
I flew into Madrid and I needed one night at a hotel that had a location close to Estacion Atocha. The hotel was quite clean and the reception was very kind, which was nice after a long flight. I had a balcony after a 15 euro upgrade, which i recommend. The only bad thing was that all the rooms are not in the same area, so there are 3 (maybe 4) elevators to take. Now, this is not a problem in a city like Madrid, but I had two very heavy suitcases and just before my room I had to carry them both down 4 or 5 stairs. Again, not a big problem, but it did hurt a little. Also, internet access is easy, but costly, 2 euro for an hour that you can save when you need it in your room, but I am in a hotel in Salamanca now, where it is included.
