I and my wife travel a lot all over the world vacationing. This definitely is not the biggest hotel we ever stayed, or the most luxurious, but definitely one of the best we found in Europe as regards to attentiveness and courteousness you receive from the hotel staffs. You ask the concierge and he would give you all the tips and where to go/dine, on the spot writing articulately on city map.The main dining is small but has very cozy atmosphere. The food they offer is not numerous, but all are very fine and goes for quality than quantity, which we adored.
I stay in this hotel as part of business trip. The trip was company paid so I can't comment on the value. However, all staffs are very polite and nice. Knows English quite well and willing to work with you on your requests. The hotel lack of pool but not a surprise for something like this in the middle of a historical city. My room was the 218 and looking over the street. It is quiet enough and do no feel nosy at all.
I stayed here for 3 nights on business and I thought it a beautiful hotel. It is in the heart of Madrid with lots going on around it. It is expensive and a real treat to stay here but the rooms, the food, the service, the ambience are all excellent. It really felt like a treat to be here. The little touches like the turning down of the bed and the pillow menu which make it feel special and add that luxurious, indulgent touch as well as being completely and wonderfully over the top. I think this would be a lovely place for a romantic break. I also used the gym facilities which although small were fine for what you need. Disappointed that there was no pool though. Still lovely though!
This hotel is in a great location. Luis, bar Manager exceptional and a credit to the hotel. There were issues with my room such as the shower and noise but it is not always about the issues but how they are dealt with and Carlos, Manager dealt with them with the utmost professionalism which will make me return. I left my laptop in my room when leaving the hotel for the airport and they called me which meant I could return in the taxi to collect. Thank you for a lovely stay.
In the annals of hotel deceptions, this hotel is the champion. In the 300+ reviews that I have done, I have uploaded two photos. I will upload three photos here so there is no question as to the poor experience I had at Villa Magna. A picture is worth a thousand words. If you want a suite @700+ euros with a view of air conditioning, this is the place for you! I feel like I was robbed, Look at the photos and ask yourself if you think I got value for what I paid. This hotel is a rip off. As an Amex traveller, I was entitled to an upgrade (subject to availability). I was informed that I got upgraded. Not true. I got the same category I reserved and I confirmed this at check out. Health club was a joke. Three cardio equipments and one all-in-one weight training station. Hotel concierge was WORTHLESS! He could not get us a reservation at five restaurants we requested, including the hotel restaurant!. Pathetic! Was this review helpful/ Please let me know by clicking on the button below.
This was our fourth stay at the wonderful Villa Magna. The rooms are extra comfortable. Wonderful showers. Sensational location, wonderful breakfast and most importantly superb service. The concierges are absolutely the best. This is THE hotel to stay at in Madrid.
We planned this trip on a nostalgic note to have a family holiday and return to places we have not seen for a long while. The Villa Magna now is so different from how I remember it as a young teenager. However the quality of the service, the excellence of the cuisine, the comfort of the rooms have remained top notch. It was such a pleasant experience to have been reunited with this Madrid gem. I will definitely return!
The hotel is located in Salamanca district. Nearby there are many boutiques of famous brands. So, if you are going shopping for Madrid, this hotel is a great choice. Despite the rather modest appearance, the inside of the hotel is very elegant. Light and cozy rooms. Wonderful service. Lovely breakfast.
It is a high standard hotel and deserved the fame to be considered as one of the best of Madrid. Only one night was enough to appreciate the quality of this incredible place. Nothing more to add, it is perfect.
This is an impressive hotel, located in one of the best districts of Madrid, within walking distance you can reach wonderful restaurants and amazing shops. The hotel is always clean and well attended. The service is great, everybody is helpful and nice. I have stayed in regular rooms and suites, the suites are like apartments, spacious and elegant. Regular rooms as well, are nicely distributed and elegant too. The food has always great taste, and within the hotel you can find one of the best chinese restaurants in the city.
