Positives - Nice Spacious Room, Friendly staff. Negatives - Same breakfast everyday. limited choices (not even a vending machine). Small Bathroom. Limited choice in TV Channels especially English or other languages
Overall very satisfied with the experience at the hotel. The staff from the front desk were always very cordial and willing to answer any question we had about the location and its surroundings. We booked two rooms via there website which i found to be the best deal due to the discounts that are offered online. Our suite which was used to accommodate 4 adults and my 2 yr old was clean and spacious enough to feel comfortable. The only negative was the small bathroom which lacked ventilation and small shower were much of the water would spill out onto the floor while showering. TV's could use an upgrade as they looked more like computer monitors and small. The location of the hotel was great, 3 blocks to the Metro where you are a 15 min ride to Madrid's touristy areas Up the street from the hotel on the corner there is a Burger King on Calle de Alcala; where you can find food, banks, pharmacies and other stores. We also had the hotels breakfast on two occasions and would rate OK with room for improvement especially on the amount of scramble eggs which at times were scarce. Very good clean hotel with gracious staff and in prime location overall very pleased.
Very good apartments. Perfect for a family of five. Very spacious rooms. Quiet location. Bonus of an outdoor roof top pool. Staff very attentive and friendly. Short walk to the main streets, good restaurants nearby and small supermarket. Taxi into Madrid booked easily by Reception staff. Mezanine area a hit with the children! We stayed for two nights on way back from Alicante to Santander, perfect stopover location, also saw some of Madrid which was great.
This is overall very good value for your money. I was an excellent choice. The room was comfortable and clean. It is very easy access to the subway, which is excellent for getting around in madrid. very friendly and helpful staff at front desk. I have no complaints at all. I highly recommend.
This hotel was great, very quiet, clean & functional. Very friendly staff who can speak English. Lovely breakfast buffet. Air-con in room was good & hairdryer in bathroom useful. Plenty of storage space in room and a safe. Fantastic terrace to sit and relax outside. Bathroom functional but could do with bigger shower screen as water got on floor and bathroom woodwork had been previously damaged by it. Ground floor room at front of building. Nearest Metro was being renovated but not far to walk for the next station along main road. Many nice places to eat locally, especially the Chinese restaurant on main road. Hotel staff arranged taxi to airport for us. Conveniently located and easy to travel to Sol & other attractions via the Metro system. We would definitely stay here again.
Clean rooms, ok location, the metro station is like 5-7mins walk, good wifi connection(free), staff are very friendly and can speak English very well. Pool was closed(was advised it be open in summer around July). Overall I will say it's 4/5
Best place on Alcala, very clean, huge rooms, great team, great parking lot. Very cllose to the sub, groceries store near to the hotel, very good restaurants. 24 hour m vigilance, very quite street, Alll good !!!!!!
We stayed here for 3 nights in September. Really nice hotel, non fussy and basic. The hotel isn't located that close to the main square or park, but there is a metro station really close by that will take you straight there and is quite cheap (& easy to use!). The hotel is also located on a steep hill, so probably not the best for the less mobile. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants nearby if you didn't want to venture too far. The hotel was lovely. Massive rooms, 4 of us shared and there was plenty of space. Modern and really clean. There is a small kitchenette in the room, which actually is a bit useless and actually lets the hotel down (otherwise it would be a 4 star review!). You get a sink, fridge & microwave. There is also a coffee machine, but you have to pay €1.50 for the capsules (each). Why on earth there is no proper tea or coffee making facilities I will never know, this is something you get as standard in most hotels anyway. You get a few plates - but no cutlery, so you can't even make some cereal in the morning - so basically, the kitchen is a useless feature in the room. Breakfast is available room the hotel (I think it's around €7-€8), offers mainly continental - not actually worth the money if like me a pastry and coffee is enough, but there was no option given just for that (Hence why more facilities in the room would have been nice). The pool is on the roof, its small, but nice. Not many places to sit, as there was only about 4 working sun beds - all the rest were broken. Not a hotel I would go back to, but was a nice stay overall.
We stayed 2 nights in Madrid! The hotel was perfect for us because of the family room! Our children loved the room. The swimming pool was much smaller than on the picture! That was the only dissapointment.
We stayed over a long weekend to visit family. Despite it being almost 30 degrees the whole time the staff insisted that the pool was closed and that was that. Frustrating when travelling with children, perhaps management could consider a more flexible approach based on weather conditions, we were extremely disappointed. The hotel is ok, quite basic rooms that would benefit from a refurb and good clean. Although a kitchenette and fridge are provided, no cutlery or crockery is provided other than small glasses and some coffee cups. No kettle and the coffee is charged at €1.50 a shot despite the room price being quite hefty. Seems a little ridiculous to charge for coffee. The bathroom is minuscule and the shower sprays the bathroom completely making it all wet. One consolation was the large, comfortable bed, and helpful friendly staff. Location ok but you need to hunt for decent restaurants. We won't rush back, would recommend elsewhere.
