Overall, the hotel is in a good location, walking distance from Masjid Al Nabwi and with good food nearby. Although the opposite side has better shopping and food options. However, upon arrival, it took over an hour to get us checked in. We were not given clear communication especially after a long trip from Makkah to Madinah. The receptionist mentioned he would get in touch regarding a room upgrade to a Haram view but I never heard back at all. On top of that, our room was only cleaned twice during our 5 night stay and even the quality of that was not great. Our room was not cleaned despite the housekeeping sign being left on for prolonged periods multiple times. We had also been disturbed by staff when we had our do not disturb sign on. I spoke to one of the housekeeping staff about cleaning our room, and instead of helping, he decided to moan instead and told me to call reception. There was also miscommunication with reception and housekeeping staff. Also, there was noise coming from the room next door with people arguing which could be heard. The fridge was hot. Cups were still dirty and not cleaned. Very good location with good breakfast and fairly modern facilities. It’s just a shame on how slow they are, how poor the communication is and the lack of service from the housekeeping staff

I would like share our thoughts on recent visit to Madina 12/01/2025 so others can have understanding paying £300.00 a night on a 4star branded hotel what you’re expecting to get. Starting with few positive points. Location is good easy access to Masjid Al Nabawi. Downstairs you will find plenty of shops servicing all kind of fast foods etc. Room was clean spacious but a little dated in the bathroom a just about works in terms of space. Now moving to our 4nights stay/experience. They have two hotels side by side. So it can be confusing which hotel you have booked. Main hotel has a large lobby and bigger restaurant. The rooftop was never opened which I attempted to visit twice during my stay. Asked staff why is it closed apparently opens after 4pm which didn’t make sense I did attempt once more then gave up. When we check in we were on the newer but smaller hotel. However the view from the room was obscured then the upgrade we paid for. Nevertheless we just travelling from Makkah and it’s been a long day just wanted to rest and recover. My wife was feeling poorly and I called hotel housekeeping for an extra duvet. That’s when A shock to the system started. A basic requirement turned into a bitter experience. Kept waiting however noting was happening called again and again same response some was coming. When the did eventually turn up then came to understand what we asked for by then at least an hour passed by. So explained again however apparently they

Had a pleasant stay at Rotana, spacious beautifully decorated room with all amenities soap,shampoo,conditioner tooth brush, vanity kit, iron kit, hair dryer. Bath robe and towels. Huge closet and locker, my room had a wireless charger to charger phone as my charger wouldn’t fit in the socket. Must keep a universal plug from your own country, Rotana had an amazing breakfast so much variety and fresh food and you can see the prophets mosque while getting your food. Items to mention two types of soup,scrambled eggs, fried rice, noodles, variety of bread and cheese and fresh fruits and baked croissants and danish’s, tea and coffee and coffee machine for speciality coffee. This hotel is good for families. Overall a good choice and experience. Would love to book again in future.
