The cleanest Hotel I have been in, it is all round excellent stayed one month, back again next year the food is great the staff Are so friendly.l like the no children's policy The entertainment is very good.heated Pool inside and outside pool. Peter. Fareham.

Rooms a tad dated, but well maintained and cleaned by very friendly Housekeeper. The restaurant was magnificent with a huge choice of tasty and well-cooked dishes at both Breakfast and Dinner. Carlos and his ex-falconer colleague kept us entertained in the Bar. Hotel would have got 5 stars if the hot tub jets had been working and the availability of a Sauna been made more obvious. Also, despite temperatures in the sixties fahrenheit, it was still officially 'winter' and hence there was no cool air conditioning in the room. Short steep hill to climb up to hotel but buses were frequent and cheap with a multi-trip pass. Good local shops. Overall, very good indeed. Would like to return one day. And Madeira is absolutely stunning!

Our 2nd visit to this hotel and 5th time in Madeira. Hotel in a good location only a short walk downhill to the old town. You can walk back thought the park and rest on a bench or catch a bus, no 8 drops you by the hotel with no uphill walk! On our arrival our room was upgraded to sea view because we were return visitors. A bowl of fruit and bottle of water in our room too, plus as it was my birthday a bottle of bubbles. Lovely gesture. The hotel is one of the cleanest I've been in. We were on a B&B basis but had dinner in the hotel one night, the buffet had a good choice and you certainly don't go hungry. All the staff are excellent, Claudio on reception and Carlos and his colleagues are exceptional. We hope to return again>

Very comfortable adult only hotel. Our room was a twin overlooking gardens and the sea, The room was well appointed, clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and very helpful, especially Tina on the reception. We stayed on a half board basis and found the food excellent, well cooked and with a wide variety of dishes that should have something to suit all tastes.

The hotel is situated between Funchal and the Forum, which was perfect for us, the hotel is not huge therefore maintains a friendly atmosphere the staff are very helpful . The rooms are a good size we had sea view the hotel is kept very clean. The restaurant is buffet service both at breakfast and evening meal there is a wide range of choices and the standard is good, we were given on arrival a 6pm to 7.15pm time slot for our evening meal which we thought would be to early but as it turned out we were always hungry by 6pm, however if time didn't suit you can change at reception. The outdoor swimming pool was to cold for me although some people brave it The other pool was a spa pool and very warm the sauna and steam room were great the gym needs updating, and the massage rooms were closed, although you could still get treatments down the road at a sister hotel. All in all I would stay here again.

Lovely hotel. Buffet service and food very good. Plenty of choice. Good rooms and very clean as is all of the hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location between the old and new sides of town.

This hotel suited us as it was quiet and was just a short walk to the town centre and marina. We also caught the local buses which were very good value. There was plenty of choice of food in the restaurant although sometimes the vegetables were lukewarm. The rooms were kept clean and tidy and our cleaner was very friendly. The bed was big and comfortable. The bar staff were very helpful and friendly. We were on half board basis which suited us as we could go out and about during the day. We had no issues with sunbeds. There were plenty to spare possibly because the outdoor pool was a bit cold for swimming at this time of year. We used the indoor pool/jacuzzi but the bubble feature stopped working halfway through the week. The spa facilities were closed but we were told we could go to the sister hotel for these. We had no kettle in the room but we used to get a pot of tea from the bar for just over 2 euros and drink it on the balcony. This hotel is probably more suited to the older traveller like us as all is quiet after 11 pm. We are hoping to return next year.

We were attracted to this hotel by the relatively low price and the good location. When we arrived we were allocated to a back facing room which would have been perfectly adequate (and still good value for what we were being charged). We requested an upgrade to a sea facing room and was offered one with a large balcony, larger bathroom etc. We felt that their charge of 20 Euros per day extra was reasonable. We stayed on a B & B basis. Breakfast buffet was excellent - well stocked with plenty of seating in an unhurried atmosphere. I can make no comment on the evening meal, but I heard no criticism. Evening entertainment in the hotel was good especially given that this is a relatively small hotel. One evening there was a solo guitarist/singer who was superb. The other nights were fine too. Bar staff and very friendly and helpful. One possible criticism might be that the indoor pool was quite heavily chlorinated. But hey - better that than contacting something. The hotel's location is very good and close to the bus route. On one side, a 15 / 20 minute walk takes you to Funchal town centre. To the other side you are right in the hotel district with lots of restaurants and bars. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

A most enjoyable experience, ,staff were extremely helpful and friendly, an excellent choice of food both at breakfast time and for the evening meal. The room was very clean and the balcony had views of Funchal and the sea.

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel is in a good location for seeing Funchal. A good breakfast buffet and the evening meal was very tasty too. The conference facilities are adequate - it would have been good to have some natural light. The bar staff were excellent especially Diorgo and Carlos.
