Built in 1875 come experience "The Dutches House" by Southern Valley Homes! This is the twin (other side of duplex) to "The Duke House". Location, Location, Location. Right in Downtown Macon directly behind the Macon City Auditorium you can walk to Concerts, Restaurants, Bars, Retail, and really experience downtown Macon like a local!
**If you have a large group and need more room -You're in luck!! Rent both sides of the duplex and sleep up to 18 people!!! Perfect for families of the bride and groom or the wedding party or a family reunion!***
This duplex is located in a quiet pocket w/ dedicated Off Street parking where you can sleep soundly without the noise of downtown while still being right downtown where you can walk to everything- the best of both worlds! Renovated in the early 2000's and updated again in 2022, you will absolutely love the character of this almost 150 year old home but have all the amenities and luxuries of today-granite countertops, tiled showers, stunning original heart of pine floors, 12 foot ceilings, huge windows to let in amazing natural light.
Downstairs is living room with Smart TV, large sleeper sofa and jackknife sofa, dining room with Smart TV, another sleeper sofa, kitchen, laundry and the half bath.
Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The master bedroom has 2 queen sized beds and an ensuite bathroom with walk in closet and make up vanity. The secondary bedroom is a tribute to Mercer University and has another queen size bed, 2 closets and a smart TV.

Beautiful, spacious home that is very conveniently located to restaurants, shopping, arts venues, etc. The host was very communicative and helpful. Checkout process was not overly complicated. The listing does say no pets, but when we arrived, it was clear pets are allowed — they supplied bowls, leashes, clean-up bags, etc. If we had known, we’d have brought our old Labrador retriever, who is pretty chill. All in all, though, this is a lovely place to stay!

Lovely place to stay! Perfect location for the downtown venues. Our family loved this house and all fit very well here. The beds were comfy, towels soft, everything you need for a stay was here! Definately would come here again. Easy access and communication from owner.
