Extremely small room. No AC. Very loud street noise as windows needed to be open. Very nice wine event.
Nice lounge concept with happy hour food and drinks. The rooms have a design issue (at least mine did) in which you first step into the shower box to then get into the toilette and sink. Forget using the bathroom if someone is showering and be careful because it gets slippery. I liked the location across the river from the old Town and I'd stay there again if I can chose a different room. The gym is small but OK for a quick work out
We stayed here for one night for a quick trip to Lyon and thought it was great. The room was nice, comfortable, and clean. The free breakfast was quite substantial, not just toast and orange juice. You can actually start your day with their breakfast and not be hungry 30 minutes later. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the check in and check out process. The only thing to be aware of is at least in our particular room the bathroom offered little privacy. It was enclosed in a very and cool stylish louvred room that looked awesome and added a lot of character to the room. The problem is that the louvres make it quite easy for someone laying on the bed to look into the bathroom. Of course this isn't a problem if you're staying alone or with your significant other. Over all it was a great experience that we would highly recommend.
Hotel is very nice, perfect location. Very good full breakfast with local specialties. Amazing club with wine and food. Attentive stuff. The only problem - as a VIP member of Orbitz, I did not receive any recognition from hotel at all.
We stayed at Okko Hotel for 4 nights. It is situated in a gorgeous traditional French architecture building but the decor is chic and modern. It is in an excellent location and walkable and easily accessible to most points of interest. Our room, referred to as “cocoons,” was relatively large for city standards (e.g., NYC, Boston, Paris, London). The layout was thoughtfully designed with efficient use of space. The bathroom looked unique and futuristic. The downside is when you turn on the lights in the bathroom in the middle of the night it illuminates the entire room because the bathroom walls are made of clear glass. It’s not the most practical. “The Space” is the common area for all guests on the ground floor. Breakfast and aperitifs are served there. You can also help yourself to complementary snacks and beverages throughout the day. There’s also a fancy espresso machine. From 7-10pm you can get a free glass or beer and enjoy a generous spread of hors d’ouvres. The hotel’s concept is to make guests feel at home and be able to access drinks and snacks whenever they want. Staff is pleasant and helpful. They gave us wonderful recommendations on restaurants in the area. They also keep “the Space” clean and well replenished. We had an extremely delightful experience and would definitely stay at Okko again. I also used to teach at Lycee Édouard Herriot literally down the street, so it was an added bonus to be back in the neighborhood.
Very nice rooms and great staff. Staff was very helpful. They all speak English well which was nice. Nice light breakfast buffet and evening buffet with wine. All are included in price. The refrigerator was well stocked and always open with free drinks.
Very good location overlooking the Rhône river, modernized old building, very nicely refurbished and decorated in modern up to date decor. Clean rooms, nice breakfast, light snacks for dinner , all inclusive. Nice staff. We had a classic double room with bathroom which were really tiny but well equipped. The bed was OK , not the best compared to other hotels. The bed linen is made out of rough linen not agréable to touch, could be improved by replacement with soft cotton made beddings. We recommend this hotel and we will stay in again.
