Great home base for exploring waterfalls and vineyards in the gorge with awesome views. Comfortable beds with different pillow options and good water pressure in the shower. Enjoyed watching trains from end to end across the river and wildlife (deer and birds) right outside the property.Cons:-WIFI - although we were able to connect to the WIFI, all of our phones had better service when using cellular data instead.-Shower heads were low so if you're around 5'8 or taller you'd have to duck to wash your hair. The shower curtain was hung too low in the hallway bathroom so it was a bit of a tripping hazard both inside and outside of the shower.-Windows in the main living space were pretty dirty. Although photos show great views, they were best when experienced on the outside deck.

House entrance extremely uninviting dirty, cobwebs..House windows dirty, cobwebs everywhere.. garbage cans all over top of yard/bags.. we were even asked by a neighbor to remove them.. told them not ours..Cobwebs in bathroom shower..Definitely needs yard maintenance and new house cleaners..

Very spacious! The kitchen was very well equipped. Loved having fresh coffee beans with a grinder instead of pre-ground coffee. The views are incredible and being up on the hill gets a fantastic breeze on the deck. The town itself doesn’t have as much to offer as some of the towns further west but overall a very nice place to stay.

We four lady friends enjoyed a relaxing long weekend at this lovely home in Lyle. The home is modern, well-equipped, and clean with beautiful views! Only one day the wind blowed and we stayed inside, but all the others provided an opportunity to sit on the deck and enjoy watching activity on the river.

Perfect for our Needs

We brought our elderly mother down to visit family. It was the perfect house for family visits and quiet relaxation in between. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed except groceries! The house sparkled. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra day.

Perfect place for a family!

I was super impressed with our stay here. Very kid friendly with lots of games and toys to choose from. The view is truly unmatched. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to (blenders, coffee grinder, coffee pot, all the pots and pans, etc). And the downstairs makes it perfect for kids to watch shows and play while adults visit upstairs. 10/10 recommend this home and will absolutely be staying here with my family when we come back to visit again next year.

We enjoyed our two night stay in Lyle. The view from the house and deck is amazing. We also appreciated the well-stocked kitchen with all necessary utensils and appliances to cook several meals. Host was responsive and helpful.

Wind View and Point Lyle

I rented both houses for my birthday. The houses are a 7 minute walk and 1 minute drive from each other, which I wasn't aware of (it's possible that's hiding in the listing somewhere), but we made it work and had an amazing weekend. Everything else was perfect!

Family Gathering

We selected Wind View for its central location for family members coming from Corvallis and Eastern Oregon. Lyle is a fun small town and we all enjoyed visiting Bingen. House was perfect for all 7 of us, would definitely stay again. Wonderful views of the Columbia River from in the spacious living room as well as the very comfortable deck area. Property Manager was excellent!

Million Dollar View

We loved the property. Pros: Super clean, spacious, the view is to die for, neighborhood is quiet, welcoming presentation was sweet. Cons: Showers were terrible. That’s all. I would have given 5 stars, but the shower situation was not good. There is nothing like a nice shower. This house is amazing, the host was great, and everything was updated nicely….. and then you go to take a much needed shower at the end of a long day. I would recommend this house to anyone visiting Lyle.

Mid-week Break

Easy access. Fantastic view. Driveway is steep and too tight for a sedan and truck. House appears to be recently renovated so a few things missing, but well supplied kitchen. Everything appears to be new. For five senior women the trundle bed was not the best and we were sorry it was too windy to enjoy the outdoor seating area which looked fabulous. Wildflowers were great.
