Welcome to Our View House

We decided to share our guesthouse because we love sharing the incredible view we’re so lucky to enjoy every day. It’s truly special — and we wanted our friends and guests to experience it too.

Our 600-square-foot modern guesthouse was designed as a private honeymoon-style retreat. Perched on concrete sonotubes 18 feet above the ground, it feels like a modern treehouse, offering a unique sense of floating among the trees while taking in breathtaking views of Hood River, Mt. Hood, and the Columbia River Gorge — our favorite view of all.

Access to the guesthouse is via a 30-foot steel bridge and about 35 long steps, adding to the secluded and elevated feel.

Although the space is private, it’s located near our main house, so a few house rules help keep things peaceful for everyone:

One vehicle maximum — please park on the east side (left side) of the main house.
Two guests maximum. The only exception is for infants not yet crawling (for safety reasons — sharp glass edges).
If you love modern architecture, panoramic views, and tranquility, we think you’ll truly enjoy your stay.

The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a patio, and there's space to spread out with a separate bedroom. Other standard amenities include a washing machine and a coffee maker. Limited housekeeping is available.

My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this beautiful property. The view is simply stunning. From coffee time to wine time it was wonderful to sit and watch the view change. The furnishings and amenities are also perfect. It’s a quick drive into town, and only a few minutes more for Hood River. The property owners were great at communicating, and check-in and out were a breeze. We cannot recommend this property highly enough.

This place is perfect in every way! The hosts have been super helpful both in communication and in how thoughtfully they have provided for everything one might need.
