Nice breakfast buffest included with a great view of the Nile.Large rooms, huge bathrooms and comfortable beds. However, the free and paid wifi services were horrible. Hotel needs to upgrade the system to work for business travelers. Hotel should look to buy a number of wifi adapters and charge a higher rate to have a good connection, we had to use a phone as a wifi hotspot, since nothing worked except really late at night. Staff was excellent and tried to resolve the wifi problem but was unable to do so during our stay. Great location, fantastic rates, excellent food

I stayed here with a tour company and could not fault the place. what a beautiful view you get from your room and the pool over the nile river. the staff are super helpful and friendly from the restaurant to the doormen. the rooms are spacious and clean. we ate at the Italian restaurant one day which was not that great as the food was a bit poor, but everything is was great. loved laying by the pool. would stay again

Just returned from our must be at least 12th visit to this amazing hotel, we arrived early in the hours and was quickly checked in and was very kindly upgraded to a front nile room a lovely pleasant surprise and soooo kind as the views are totally amazing so a huge thankyou. Was greeted by the lovely doorman Salah who makes you feel really welcome. All the staff at this hotel are a credit to the nile palace from the breakfast staff, cleaning staff and gardeners and bar staff always smiling and polite and making you feel soooo welcome. Now for the tropicana staff and pool men Ashraf, Osama,Ahmed,Mena and Ali and whoever names we have forgot thankyou for making us so welcome and always smiling you were all a pleasure. Its such a shame its so quiet in Luxor because we have had the most amazing holiday and felt so safe and welcome the hotels amazing the food and rooms are divine and the most fantastic staff we,ve ever met so thankyou all soooooo much and we will see you all next year can,t wait.

I will tell you, the staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.........Just returned from a 22 night stay on the 9th September at the finest hotel in Luxor this is the 13Th time at this hotel and i will not stay anywhere else in Luxor. After staying here for so many years the staff who look after you become more than staff they become friends especially in this day and age with Facebook , snap-chat,Twitter etc. etc. etc.. you get the idea? So after a long delay in Luxor waiting for baggage that didn't turn up till the following day we checked in and was met by Mustafa with a smile and wasn't surprised at the time of arrival and thought that there may have been a problem. but still 1.30am smiling and professional and checked us in and in minutes then escorted us to our usual room 237. The following day normal service resumed after we had got our luggage from the airport!!!!! So here we go, Breakfast, as much food you could ask for and then Chef Ali "do you want anything from the kitchen?" as if there's not enough already on show! but if you want the kitchen will cater for you ,not to mention the egg station so you can order what you want. The staff at breakfast Ereen, Makar,Mohammed, Haitaim all friendly and will cater for your every need from coffee/tea and anything else you require. The Pool, shocked at the news that one of our oldest friends has taken early retirement Ahmed he will be missed as he was one of the original "pool-guys" and we wish him all the best. The pool still has Ashraf,Ahmed and the new guy Osama, im missing my talk with Ash on football and general life in the mornings already but the guys at the pool are all as sociable and nothing is too much trouble . The staff at Tropicana bar by the pool Ahmed,Ali,Mina attentive but not overly so,but you want for nothing, all you do is ask and its done, all the drinks arrived complete in ice bucket . The Restaurants in the hotel are as good as you will find any where in the world the Italian and the Lebanese both serve different but very good tasty food and are very reasonably priced, again a big thank you to Hamdy and Hamdy (they have one in each restaurant) also to Ahmed and Hagag. The rooms although they have been the same for a while now have a ,well to me, a home from home feel, having said that they are spotlessly clean, housekeeping do a fantastic job from the changing and cleaning in the morning to the turn down service in the evening, you can not fault the cleanliness of this hotel. Also the towel art left in the bathroom, a crocodile a swan and a scorpion(pics uploaded). Laundry Service this is still as good as ever, dirty ,sweaty, clothes sent!!!!! Delivered back the next day as though you'd just got them from a shop. And at a very reasonable price too. Big shock though when Salah the Doorman wasn't in the hotel only to find he is now Bell Captain and still the same warm greeting and made our departure from the hotel a little bit more special even though it was 5am! So to Mahmoud,Mohammed and Farag, these are the main staff at the Nile lounge and are the people who make the stay, professional, responsive, chatty, friendly nothing is too much trouble, what ever you want, sorted.....The hotel was very quiet when we were there,as is the whole of Luxor these days, but we did see a remarked improvement on previous years, and as many people might think that is why the staff are so friendly and attentive, but it has been like this for many years now since 2011 so give it a go and arrive as guests leave with a lot of new friends. Finally to the guest relations Amina, Still NO complaints!!!!!!Sorry maybe next year!! Forgot to add for all the people who say about hassle outside no more than usual, polite 'no thank-you' dont ignore them ,or even just talk to the taxi drivers, calleche drivers, street vendors and then you dont get any hassle, courtesy works both ways. Hope to see you all in 2018. Mr David and Debbie

It's always great to stay in Steigenberger. It's been now almost 10 years that we frequently stay at this hotel. The great hospitality makes you feel at home. The hotel has a great location overlooking the Nile.

The Steigenberger Hotel, in it's heyday, must have been fabulous. Unfortunately, it has not keep up with the times. The room had a sizable patio with a lovely view of the Nile. It was otherwise an OK room. No wifi in the rooms, which when you are on an extended trip as we were, is important. WiFi in the lobby was horrible, and with a group the size of ours, the whole lot of us were attempting, unsuccessfully, to make contact to our homes and businesses. This really needs to be addressed by the hotel if they want to keep up. The food at the restaurant was good, the salad bar looked wonderful, but we didn't dare eat anything uncooked. The food that we did eat was excellent. The service was good, though not exceptional. The hotel has a swimming pool, but we did not get to use it because it closed at sunset. Why? As a tourist, the daytime is tour time and the evening is relaxation time. A nice soak/swim in the pool was very much desired, and attempted, but we were never allowed to swim as it closes at about 6pm. This hotel was booked as part of a tour package, so I have no idea what we paid for our room.

Another enjoyable stay at this hotel, one where all the staff are so helpful and attentive. They can't do enough for you and this has become our "second home", one where my sister and I always feel welcome and safe. A special thanks to the guest relations manager, Almina, who was always there to help out and offer advice.

This was my first visit to Egypt and I was not sure what to expect. Hotel was gorgeous. Staff welcoming and went the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect. Customer service second to none. Breakfast buffet amazing. I do not eat meat or dairy but there was a great selection of food to satisfy most palettes. My only request is to offer non dairy milk.i.e Almond milk. Great location. Fabulous customer service. No problem recommending to others.

We spent two nights in this lovely hotel. It is tragic that half the hotel and its restaurants are closed because of the lack of tourists. Great, friendly service. Spoilt for choice at breakfast. Fabulous iced coffee at the cafe. Comfortable and spacious room facing the Nile.

My wife and I and my bother In-law have just returned from a 32 night stay at this Fantastic Hotel, This is our 20th time at this hotel (me & my Wife) and it gets better and better every time, Mr Hanni & Mr Hesham have a wonderful team from the front door to the pool, On the door you are always grated with a smile and a big hello from Salah & Mohamed and the same from the front desk staff, the two mustafas dealt with my wife and i, The Breakfast staff are just the same with Hassan, Eileen and most of all Chef Ali who is fantastic nothing is a problem, Then on to the pool, What can i say, there is only one word PERFECT, Ashraf & Osami looked after me and anita & robert and other guest, nothing was too much trouble, also I would like to say a big thank you to Hamdy, Ali (pool) and to all the staff for making Mr Ed & Miss Anita so special all the time, we can`t wait to book again and return to this fantastic hotel.
