What a great experience! Definitely one of the nicest places I have stayed at. Dan and Jennifer are very personable and friendly. I immediately felt welcome and at home. I had a very special occasion during our stay and they made some accommodations to make it even more special. I definitely want to make it a yearly trip and stay at the Lamplighter again. It’s clean, comfortable, and cozy. The breakfast is excellent as well! I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

We went to Ludington to see the Fall colors and to get away. This is a perfect place to stay, any time! Dan & Jen are excellent hosts. The property is beautiful and we felt very welcomed in their home. The chocolate chip/pecan cookies are fantastic in addition to the gourmet breakfasts. The fireplace warmed our toes after coming in after a long, cool day of sight-seeing. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Great centralized location in a historic home with vintage furnishings, owned and operated by a gracious family. Dan welcomed us in like we were family, offering us anything we needed at a moment's notice. The room was cozy and clean; the common spaces were regal and warm...especially by the fireplace. Breakfast was a 2 course meal, each one different and created by an in-house professional chef with local ingredients. Everyone seated at the dining table started as strangers, but left as new friends. Owner Dan could not have been a better host; we look forward to returning!

Absolutely loved this bed and breakfast. We were the only ones there and it was very nice to get to spend extra time with the owners and have a WONDERFUL breakfast made to order each morning. It is a beautiful place in a fantastic location.

My husband and I stayed at the Lamplighter for our honeymoon. We were in the Ansel Adams suite and loved the Jacuzzi tub. The furnishings were comfortable and we appreciated the pillow selection ranging from soft to firm. Jen and Dan, the proprietors, were so welcoming and offered tons of great food and entertainment suggestions for us who had never been to the area before. The breakfasts they served us were delicious!

Every aspect of the Lamplighter B&B is close to perfection: the external facility and grounds; the bedrooms, dining rooms, and living area/lounge; and -- most important -- the Innkeepers Dan and Jen. We enjoyed every minute of our recent stay, highlighted by the knowledge, enthusiasm, and fellowship of Dan. Jen was busy taking care of their two-week old newborn, so understandably we didn't see much of her. This couple purchased the Inn about two years ago, and have spent every moment since then making improvements, which -- in our opinion -- has turned the Inn into one of the finest in the country. They are about to open a sixth room -- probably to be named "The Impressionist Suite" -- which looks to be just fantastic. For my wife and me, the size of the Inn was just right . . . and the location is convenient to everything. We highly recommend this lovely Inn and will return next year :-)

This pristine victorian home is perfect for an overnight or longer stay. The rooms are clean, bedding is luxurious and all have adjoining baths. The highlight is the two course gourmet breakfast served by the inkeepers. You really can't go wrong here. The location is walkable to downtown. Ludington has a great beach in town or visit the beautiful state park.

Chose the Ansel Adams room since Mr WIngs is a photographer. Lovely room, lovely place, lovely hosts... Room was nice because it had a small sitting area (2 chairs and small table) in the bed area but also a rather large bathroom and an area between where you could put luggage and hang clothes. We did not use the rest of the house- it was very pretty- we simply weren't there to enjoy it. We DID enjoy the home baked cookies put out in the early evening! Breakfast was served outside and everything was quite good including the host taking care of us. Definitely would recommend this place. This couple are doing an excellent job!

We stayed for two nights with our first night planned to be in the Cassat Suite and the second in Ansel Adams. We got lucky and were upgraded for the first night to the Ansel Adams since no one had booked it, which was a definite treat! The suite is beautiful and the jacuzzi is huge! My boyfriend is 6'1" and even he was fine in it. The entire property is clean, charming, and welcoming. Dan and Jen were the perfect host and hostess and we loved chatting with them. They were full of recommendations for things to do and we truly enjoyed staying in their home! They also easily accommodated my lactose-free diet and it was so nice to be able to eat breakfast without worrying about discomfort later. :) We cannot wait to come back and there is nothing I would have changed about our stay. HIGHLY recommend!

My wife and I stayed for three nights in July and The Lamplighter was everything you could ask for in a B&B. Well furnished common areas; clean, comfortable, quiet room; excellent breakfast; gracious hosts. Upon checking in Dan asked if we had any dietary restrictions and Jen made a few adjustments to breakfast to accommodate our needs without sacrificing taste. The weather was great, so breakfast was served on the patio surrounded by the beautiful garden. Dan and Jen were also very helpful in recommending dining, shopping and things to do/see in the Ludington area. Will definitely stay here again the next time we are in the Ludington area!
